Abstract

Daun cocor bebek berpotensi dikembangkan menjadi sediaan antibakteri. Peningkatan keefektifitasan dalam pemanfaatan potensi ekstrak daun cocor bebek dapat dibuat dalam bentuk sediaan yang praktis dan mudah. Penelitian ini diawali dengan proses pembuatan ekstrak etanol daun cocor bebek menggunakan alat maserator dan etanol 96% sebagai pelarut. Ekstrak daun cocor bebek diperoleh dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 96%. Ekstrak yang dihasilkan diformulasikan dalam sediaan gel dengan penambahan CMC Na 0,5%. Formulasi dilakukan pengujian fisik meliputi uji organoleptis, uji homogenitas, uji daya sebar, pH dan uji daya lekat. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa formulasi sediaan gel handsanitizer ekstrak etanol 96% daun cocor F2 dan F3 bebek memenuhi syarat sebagai sediaan gel handsanitizer.

Abstract

Daun Kumpai Mahung (Eupathorium inulifolium H.B & K) merupakan salah satu tumbuhan endemik Kalimantan Selatan. Secara turun temurun digunakan sebagai obat tradisional Dayak Meratus sebagai obat diare, demam, dan malaria. Tanaman ini dicurigai memiliki nilai antioksidan tinggi karena mengandung metabolit skunder fenolik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak metanol daun E. inulifolium serta nilai IC50-nya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode DPPH dengan instrumen spektofotometri UV-vis dengan panjang gelombang 517 nm. Dari hasil perhitungan dan replikasi nilai IC50 yang didapat sebesar 38,9 ppm. Ekstrak daun E. inulifolium memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang sangat kuat dalam meredam radikal bebas. Kata Kunci: Daun, Potensi Antioksidan, Endemik, IC50, Ekstrak Etanol, Fenolik Kumpai Mahung (Eupathorium inulifolium H.B & K) leaves are one of the endemic plants of South Kalimantan. From generation to generation it is used as a traditional medicine for Dayak Meratus as a medicine for diarrhea, fever, and malaria. This plant is suspected of having high antioxidant value because it contains phenolic secondary metabolites. The purpose of this study was to determine the antioxidant activity of the methanol extract of E. inulifolium leaves and its IC50 value. This study used the DPPH method with spectophotometer UV-vis instrument at wavelength of 517 nm. From the calculation and replication, the IC50 value obtained is 38.9 ppm. E. inulifolium leaf extract has very strong antioxidant activity in reducing free radicals.

Abstract

Buah alpukat (Persea americana Mill.) merupakan salah satu tanaman yang memiliki khasiat sebagai obat. Bagian yang sering dimanfaatkan adalah daging buah sedangkan kulit buah belum banyak dimanfaatkan. Kulit buah alpukat berpotensi untuk dikembangkan sebagai antioksidan dengan kandungan senyawa aktif flavonoid. Proses pengolahan simplisia sangat penting terutama pada tahap pengeringan. Tahap pengeringan bertujuan untuk memperoleh simplisia yang tidak mudah rusak selama penyimpanan dalam waktu lama dan menjamin kandungan senyawa aktif yang memiliki khasiat obat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pengeringan terhadap kadar flavonoid ekstrak kulit buah alpukat. Jenis penelitian ini eksperimental. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah Random Sampling. Metode pengeringan yang digunakan dengan penjemuran dengan sinar matahari dan menggunakan oven. Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 96%. Metode analisis senyawa dilakukan dengan spektrofotometer Uv-Visible. Perbandingan dua metode pengeringan dianalisis dengan statistik Independent T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Kadar flavonoid kulit buah alpukat yang dikeringkan dengan oven sebesar 13,14% sedangkan yang dikeringkan dengan sinar matahari ditutup kain hitam sebesar 5,58%. Dari hasil kadar dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode pengeringan kulit buah alpukat dengan oven lebih efektif dalam menghasilkan ekstrak yang memiliki kandungan kadar flavonoid Kata Kunci: Flavonoid, Metode Pengeringan, Persea americana Mill., Spektrofotometri  Avocado (Persea americana Mill.) is a plant that has medicinal properties. The part that is often used is the flesh of the fruit, while the skin of the fruit has not been widely used. Avocado skin has which the potential to be developed as an antioxidant with the active compound being flavonoids. The processing of raw materials is very important, especially at the drying stage. The drying stage aims to obtain raw materials that is not easily damaged during long storage and ensures the content of active compounds that have medicinal properties. This study aims to determine the effect of the drying method on flavonoid levels of avocado peel extract. This type of research is experimental. The sampling technique was random sampling. Methods of the drying used is in the sun drying and using an oven. Extraction was carried out by maceration method using ethanol 96% solvent. The method of compound analysis was carried out with a Uv-Visible spectrophotometer. The comparison of the two drying methods was analyzed using the Independent T-Test statistic. The results showed that the flavonoid content of oven-dried avocado peels was 13.14%, while those dried in the sun covered with a black cloth were 5.58%. From the results, it can be concluded that the oven-drying method of avocado peel is more effective in producing extracts that contain higher levels of flavonoids than the sun drying method.

Abstract

Lack of public knowledge, so it is necessary to provide information related to health in order to increase public awareness of health, especially for degenerative diseases or non-communicable diseases. The purpose of carrying out this community service is to increase public understanding and raise awareness of the importance of maintaining health from an early age. The implementation method used is face-to-face with pharmacists after they have checked their health and then proceed with providing health information to patients. The results of the implementation of providing health information were attended by 63 participants from the assisted village of Tatah Layap with details of 30 people checking blood sugar, 23 people checking uric acid, and 10 people checking cholesterol. The conclusion of the implementation of this activity is that the community's understanding is increasing and better after providing health information and becoming more aware of the importance of maintaining health from an early age.

Abstract

Dadangkak contains secondary metabolite compounds including Alkaloids, Steroids and Flavonoids. One of the compounds, namely flavonoids, has activity that can inhibit bacterial growth. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of dadangkak leaf extract on bath bomb soap preparations and to determine the physical quality of bath boom soap dadangkak leaf extract. This research is a non-experimental research conducted at the STIKES ISFI Banjarmasin.  The study sample was dadangkak leaf extract. The research bath boom soap formulation then an evaluation of physical properties consisting of organoleptis test, soluble time, foam height, pH, specific gravity and alkali-free test. The data obtained is compared with SNI. The results of the physical properties test in formula 2 meets the requirements of physical properties with the following results pH 10; Free alkali test 0.06%; Specific gravity test 1.03g/mol; Froth height test 66 mm; Viscosity test 960 mPas. The conclusion of the study found that the formula that meets the requirements for the best physical properties of soap is formula 2 according to the s SNI 06-4085-1996.
