Abstract

This study aims to find out the implementation of bilingual-based instruction in teaching English. This study was conducted at the eighth grade of SMPN 1 Sungguminasa. The method used in this research was qualitative with a case study approach. The instruments of this research were observation sheets, interview guidelines, recorder, and documentation. The result showed that bilingual-based instruction implemented by the teacher at SMPN 1 Sungguminasa was English-Indonesian instruction. The teacher used English and Indonesian in context greeting, introducing material, giving an explanation, giving direction/instruction, giving clarification, asking and answering the question, and in context closing activity. The teacher used two languages with translation strategy and alternated his languages from L1 (first language) to L2 (second language) or vice versa to make the learning process run effectively. The factors that cause the teacher to use bilingual-based instruction in learning English are: the teacher said that bilingual-based instruction is important to make the learning process run effectively, the way the students understand the learning material is different, and using bilingual-based instruction helps students easy to understand what is explained by the teacher. From the findings above, the researcher hopes that this research can be useful for further learning, especially for students of English Education Department at Alauddin State Islamic University of Makassar who will become teacher. Then this research will be presented to motivate them to improve their English teaching skills.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Urgensi penelitian dilakukan mengingat tingginya prevalensi hipertensi dan penyakit kardiovaskuler di Indonesia. Dukungan keluarga seperti yang dijelaskan dalam berbagai penelitian terkait, menjadi faktor krusial dalam menjaga kepatuhan minum obat pada pasien hipertensi. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan keluarga dengan kepatuhan lansia  minum obat hipertensi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sungai Boh Kabupaten Malinau. Metode: Rancangan penelitian deskripsi analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Besaran sampel penelitian menggunakan metode total sampling dimana semua populasi diteliti sebagai sampel, sehingga jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 60 orang. Instrumen berupa kuesioner dukungan keluarga berisi 20 item pernyataan dan kuesioner kuesioner kepatuhan pengobatan MMAS berisi 8 item pertanyaan. Analisa data menggunakan uji statistik Chi-Square. Hasil: Diperoleh hasil bahwa karakteristik respondensebagian besar berumur  60-69 tahun sebanyak 42 orang(70%), berjenis kelamin perempuan 43 orang(71,7%),tidak sekolah sebanyak 42 orang(70%), sebagai ibu rumah tangga 40 orang(66,7%) dan lama menderita hipertensi  seluruhnya lebih dari 1 tahun sebanyak 60 orang(100%).Responden yang memiliki dukungan keluarga baik 45%, dan tidak baik 55%, Kemudian yang memiliki kepatuhan yang patuh 46,7% dan yang tidak patuh 53,3%  sebagian besar responden memiliki dukungan keluarga dalam kategori kurang baik dan tidak patuh sebanyak 27 orang (45%). Hasil uji statistik Chi-Square diperoleh nilai p=0,000 maka disimpulkan ada hubungan dukungan keluarga dengan kepatuhan lansia. Kesimpulan: Ada hubungan dukungan keluarga dengan kepatuhan minum obat lansia hipertensi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sungai Boh Kabupaten Malinau. Saran: Diharapkan adanya peningkatan pemberian dukungan keluarga, informasi langsung dari petugas kesehatan, dan penelitian lebih lanjut dengan faktor-faktor lain serta sampel yang lebih besar terkait kepatuhan lansia dalam minum obat hipertensi secara teratur dan rutin kontrol ke posyandu.   Kata kunci: dukungan keluarga, kepatuhan minum obat, lansia

Abstract

Background: Globally, there is an increase in mental health issues. The prevalence of mental health issues among 10 to 19-year-olds is estimated to be 1 in 7 (14%) globally, despite the fact that most of these conditions go undiagnosed and untreated. Mindfulness techniques have been employed consistently, and has suggested associated criteria for the treatment of depression. Objective: This systematic review was carried out to analyze relevant articles about the effectivity of mindfulness therapy to anxiety and depression on adolescent. Methods: The Preferred Reporting Items For Systematic Review And Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) and the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) checklist provided as a guidance. The data conducted in Science Direct, ProQuest, SAGE, and Pubmed databases. The articles were published in the last five years. Results: In the final review, twelve articles were include. The articles were heterogeneous, RCT designs was used the most. Some of them also use mindfulness therapy that have been combined. Significant impacts of mindfulness therapy on adolescents have been found, particularly in the areas of anxiety and depression. Conclusion: It is crucial to understanding how mindfulness works during childhood and adolescence, as well as what type, dose, and frequency of therapy are most recommended.

Abstract

Kontribusi akademisi terbaik adalah dengan memberikan bekal literasi, sehingga pengetahuan tersebut dapat menjadi landasan pembelajaran (longlife learning) sepanjang hayat bagi peserta pengabdian di masa yang akan datang. Melalui pengabdian ini, Centre of Excellent GEDSI (Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclution) melalui PBL mahasiswa, memberi kontribusi penguatan pengelolaan keuangan rumah tangga. Dengan pengetahuan dan konsep akademik yang dimiliki oleh dosen, maka sharing pengetahuan yang berharga ini kiranya mampu menjadi sumbangsih praktis kepada masyarakat. Luaran yang ditargetkan adalah peningkatan level kemampuan pengelolaan keuangan ibu-ibu kelompok pengajian Majelis Ta'lim Al Ukhuwah RT 001 & 003 Kampung Tua Belian, Kota Batam. Penguasaan literasi keuangan oleh ibu rumah tangga tidak hanya berdampak pada kesejahteraan finansial keluarga secara langsung, tetapi juga stabilitas pengelolaan keuangan keluarga menjadi kokoh. Dengan memiliki pemahaman kuat tentang konsep manajemen keuangan peserta dapat mengambil keputusan yang lebih baik terkait dengan alokasi sumber daya finansial, perencanaan masa depan, serta meminimalkan risiko keuangan keluarga.

Abstract

This research aims to obtain empirical evidence on the influence of Corporate Social Responsibility impact on Corporate Financial Performance. Data used are non-financial companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) period 2010-2015 as many as 419 samples. Corporate Financial Performance dependent variable is measured by Return on Asset (ROA) and Retunr on Invesment Capital (ROIC).The Independent variables of corporate Social Responsibility is adopted from the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G3.1 Guidelines with 6 indicators and 81 items. The control variables is Sales Growth. Data analysis technique used is panel data regression analysis. The results of this study are, the first Corporate Social Responsibility has positive on Corporate Financial Performance proxicated by ROA. The second, Corporate Social Responsibility has positive on Corporate Financial Performance proxicated by ROIC.

Abstract

Abstract"”This service activity aims to continue the implementation of community service activities for the 2021 period, the output of which is PSAK 45 Socialization, preparation of accounting policies for Islamic Boarding Schools, and a simple Excel application for preparing financial reports. The location of the Islamic boarding school which will be used as a place for carrying out activities is in Tanjung Buntung, Bengkong District, Batam City, Riau Archipelago. The method of implementing the activities that will be used is the mentoring method and the Excel application development method. The output of this service is the application of excel-based financial reports, videos of community service activities, and tax reports. It is hoped that this community service activity will increase the knowledge, expertise and independence of partners' financial departments in preparing financial reports based on standards set by the Public Accountants Association professional organization and make maximum use of accounting policies and excel templates that have been made in previous community service activities and the preparation of tax reports . Another output is that the results of this community service activity will be published in journals or community service proceedings and reported in online media so that similar organizations can obtain information and establish mentoring cooperation with the Batam State Polytechnic. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to give the empirical evidence regarding the impact of the implementation of PMK Number 199 / PMK.010 / 2019 on MSMEs in Batam. The data used in this study are primary data. The data collection method utilizes a questionnaire via google form which is distributed in the WAG community and existing social media. The sample was 122 respondents who were MSME actors in Batam. The research findings indicate that the majority of SMEs are not aware of the contents and objectives of the regulations, have not received sufficient or effective socialization, are not aware of the mechanisms for deduction, payment, and reporting, do not know the amount of the tariffs to be paid, and this has resulted in a decrease in their business revenue and income.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of women in corporate governance and educational background on company performance. The data of this study include women (female commissioners, female directors, female audit committees), educational backgrounds (commissioners, directors, audit committees) to be independent variables, while the dependent variable is the performance of companies that use ROA. This study also uses control variables namely company size and leverage. This research data is in the form of secondary data obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Determination of the sample using the purpose sampling method and obtained as many as 2137 samples. The hypothesis in this study was multiple regression analysis. The results of this study include the first, female commissioners have negative value on the company's performance. Second, positive career women towards company performance. Third, the women's audit committee is experienced in the company's performance. Fourth, educational background Positive commitment to company performance. Fifth, the educational background is called negative towards company performance. Sixth, the background of the audit committee education does not affect the company's performance

Abstract

This investigation delves into the determinants shaping Flip's adoption, a complimentary interbank transfer application, by students at Batam State Polytechnic. The inquiry utilized primary data, gathered via an online survey from 108 participants. A comprehensive set of eleven variables underwent scrutiny: Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, Hedonic Motivation, Price Value, Habit, Perceived Risk, Perceived Trust, Self-Efficacy, Intention to Use, and Use Behavior. Data processing relied on Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), facilitated by SmartPLS 4 software. The outer model assessment validated that all conceptual constructs satisfied stringent criteria for validity and reliability. Examining the inner model revealed robust predictive accuracy, with R² values registering 0.787 for Intention to Use and 0.729 for Use Behavior. From the eleven hypotheses put to the test, four garnered empirical support: Hedonic Motivation, Habit, and Self-Efficacy demonstrated a pronounced effect on Intention to Use, while Habit also exerted a substantial influence on Use Behavior. These outcomes suggest that internal psychological drivers—such as motivation, ingrained routines, and personal assurance—are more pivotal in influencing technology acceptance than external elements like anticipated performance, perceived effort, peer influence, or cost considerations. Consequently, these findings imply that developers should prioritize refining the user experience, cultivating user confidence, and fostering habitual engagement to bolster the uptake of digital financial technologies, particularly within the student demographic.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan kecerdasan buatan (AI) dalam proses rekrutmen membawa perubahan signifikan terhadap efektivitas, efisiensi, dan objektivitas penentuan tenaga kerja. Penelitian ini menganalisis dampak penggunaan platform TalentCerdas sebagai sistem pendukung rekrutmen berbasis AI yang digunakan oleh beberapa perusahaan pada kegiatan job fair di Politeknik Negeri Batam. Metode penelitian meliputi tinjauan pustaka, survei terhadap pengguna industri, wawancara mendalam, serta analisis hasil menggunakan pendekatan tematik, SWOT, dan analisis biaya-manfaat. Hasil survei menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden menilai sistem mampu menyediakan informasi yang relevan, akurat, mudah digunakan, serta memberikan data secara tepat waktu. Analisis tematik menunjukkan bahwa AI membantu mengurangi beban administrasi, meningkatkan objektivitas seleksi, dan mempersingkat waktu screening kandidat. Namun demikian, ditemukan beberapa kelemahan, seperti tingkat matching rate yang belum optimal, ketergantungan pada kelengkapan data pelamar, serta kebutuhan peningkatan antarmuka dan dokumentasi sistem. Analisis SWOT dan biaya-manfaat menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan TalentCerdas mampu mengurangi biaya rekrutmen secara signifikan serta meningkatkan kualitas keputusan berbasis data. Secara keseluruhan, platform AI seperti TalentCerdas berpotensi besar mendukung transformasi digital manajemen SDM, namun memerlukan pengembangan berkelanjutan pada aspek teknis dan pengalaman pengguna untuk memastikan akurasi dan keandalannya.
