Abstract

Abstrak:       Percobaan ini bertujuan mengevaluasi metode pengusangan cepat methanol 20% selama 0, 2, 4, 6 dan 8 jam pada benih cabai hibrida, non hibrida, lokal, introduksi, rawit dan besar yang diproduksi pada tahun 2009 dan 2010. Jumlah genotipe benih non hibrida 4 (2009) dan 4 (2010). Jumlah genotipe benih hibrida 10 (2009) dan 8 (2010). Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis sudut kemiringan garis regressi yang merupakan sudut  perbandingan ordinat dan axis. Rekapitulasi hasil evaluasi vigor daya simpan benih cabai menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan antara benih produksi tahun 2009 dan 2010, dan benih cabai hibrida dan  non hibrida, serta benih cabai lokal dan introduksi. Perbedaan terdapat pada benih cabai rawit dan besar dan laju penurunannya cabai besar lebih cepat dibandingkan benih cabai rawit.  Hal ini terjadi juga pada tolok ukur daya hantar listrik yang merupakan tolok ukur terbaik untuk vigor daya simpan benih. Hal ini menunjukkan besarnya pengaruh lingkungan terhadap vigor daya simpan benih cabai. Kata kunci: deteriorasi alami, laju kemiringan vigor daya simpan benih cabai. Abstract    The experiment was designed to evaluate the accelerated aging method with 20% methanol for 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 hours which is the first stage of the experimental results at several pepper seed genotypes including hybrid seeds, non hybrid, local, introduction, pepper and great pepper produced in 2009 and 2010. The seeds used are non-hybrid seed as much as 4 genotype seed production in 2009 and 4 genotype seed production in 2010. Hybrid seeds used were 10 genotypes of production in 2009 and 8 genotypes of production in 2010. Data analysis done is the analysis of the slope angle of regression line slope which is resulting from the comparison of the ordinate and the axis. Recapitulation of the pepper seeds vigor storage evaluation results showed that the seed production in 2009 and 2010 there was no difference between the hybrid and non-hybrid pepper seeds and the local and introduction pepper seeds, but there are consistent differences between great chili and chili pepper seeds, the rate of decline of the great chili is greater than the chili pepper. This shows the magnitude of environmental influences on seed pepper seeds vigor storage. Exclusively in electrical conductivity benchmark, which is one of the pepper seeds vigor storage best benchmark shows that the rate of decline in seed vigor between the hybrid and non hybrid seeds and the local and introduction pepper seeds.. Key words: natural deterioration, the rate of decline seed pepper vigor test in relation  to storability

Abstract

Peppers (Capsicum annum L.) is an important horticultural product commercially cultivated in the tropics, including Indonesia, and potentially very strategic in increasing farmers' income as demand and utilization of chili continues to increase, along with the increasing population and consumption per capita . This study aims to determine the value estimate genetic parameters, namely: (1) heterosis for the number of seeds. the amount of fruit and number of flowers in bloom, (2) and combining particular value (DGK) the amount of fruit and flowers to determine the amount of hybrid seed in the future. This research was conducted at the experimental farm Cipanas West Java. The method used is a cross diallel with the study design randomized block design with three replications. Results from this study are the estimation of the value of genetic parameters for the value: (1) heterosis hybrids that have the highest value of heterosis for the number of seeds is IPBC 15x20, for the amount of fruit is IPBC 15x20, for the number of blooms is IPBC 2x20, (2) Hybrid that has a value of specific combining ability (SCA) for the highest number of fruit is IPBC2x20, for DGK to the number of blooms is IPBC 2x20. This shows that the planting in the garden Cipanas and agro-climatic conditions unfavorable already there is a collection of superior parental genotypes that IPB C15, C20 IPB, IPB C2.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to estimate the narrow sense heritability (h2ns), broad sense heritability (h2bs), heterosis, and heterobioltiosis, coefficient of genetic variances, coefficient of phenotypic variances, additive and dominant variances. Pepper population used in this study consisted of IPB C2, IPB C9, IPB C10, IPB C15 and half diallel hybrid. To estimate the effect of reciprocal IPB C10 x IPB C2 hybrid was used. Accelerated aging method was used to test the vigor using methanol 20% in five periods of time 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 hours. Observations consisted of: (1) germination rate, (2) the length of radicle, (3) the length of hypocotile, (4) dry weight of normal seedlings, (5) speed of growth, (6) electrical conductivity and (7) moisture content. Genetic parameters were estimated using affinity analysis. Reciprocal effect indicated that there was no maternal effect. Parents with high combining ability was IPB C15 and that with high specific combining ability was IPB C2 x IPB C5 and gave positive heterosis.Key words: pepper, genetic coefficient, heterosis, seed vigor, specific combining ability ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan menduga nilai parameter genetik untuk viabilitas dan vigor benih cabai menggunakan metode persilangan setengah dialel untuk mendapatkan informasi nilaiheritabilitas, heterosis, koefisien keragaman genetik, varians aditif dan dominan, sehingga diharapkan dapat mendukung keberhasilan program pemuliaan yang mengkombinasikan karakter tanaman dengan viabilitas dan vigor benih yang baik. Empat genotipe tetua cabai yang digunakan adalah IPB C2, IPB C9, IPB C10, IPB C15, dan enam genotipe cabai hasil persilangan antar tetua adalah IPB C2 x IPB C9, IPB C2 x IPB C10, IPB C2 x IPB C15, IPB C9 x IPB C10, IPB C9 x IPB C15, IPB C10 x IPB C15. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Kelompok Lengkap Teracak (RKLT). Pengamatan untuk pengujian vigor dan viabilitas dilakukan pada genotipe tetua dan persilangan dengan tolok ukur yaitu (1) daya berkecambah (2) panjang akar, (3) panjang hipokotil, (4) bobot kering kecambah (5) kadar air benih, (6) kecepatan tumbuh (Kct), dan (7) daya hantar listrik (DHL). Pengujian vigor daya simpan benih cabai pada genotipe tetua dan persilangan menggunakan metode pengusangan cepat methanol 20%. Setelah pengujian vigor daya simpan benih dilakukan analisis varian dan analisis regressi dan analisis statistik biometrik. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa genotipe cabai IPB C15 mempunyai nilai daya gabung umum yang tinggi untuk vigor daya simpan benih sehingga dapat dijadikan sebagai tetua untuk perakitan varietas F1 hibrida vigor daya simpan benih tinggi. Kombinasi persilangan tetua IPB C2 x IPB C15 menghasilkan benih yang memiliki vigor daya simpan benih tinggi.Kata kunci : cabai, daya gabung khusus, heterosis, koefisien genetik, vigor benih

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to suspect additive variants, dominant variants, genetic variants, environmental variants, phenotype variants, narrow-meaning heritability (h2ns), broad-meaning heritability, (h2bs), general joining power, special joining power, heterosis, and heterobioltiosis. The chili elder seeds used are seeds of superior varieties of chili from research in the collection of genetics and plant breeding IPB. The genotype consists of IPB C2, IPB C9, IPB C10, IPB C15 and half-diallel cross seeds. To suspect the reciprocal effect, IPB C10 x IPB C2 crosses were used. The chili seed vigor testing method used was a rapid removal method with 20% methanol at five time periods of 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 hours. Observations on 7 benchmarks, namely (1) seed germination (DB), (2) radicle length (PR), (3) hypocotyledonous length (PH), (4) normal sprout wet weight (BK), (5) growing speed (KCt), (6) electrical conductivity (DHL) and (7) moisture content (KA). Estimation of genetic parameters using combinability analysis. The results of estimating the reciprocal effect showed that the rate of decline in vigor in germination, growth speed and electrical conductivity, there was no maternal influence so that the genes that control seed vigor were controlled by the nucleus, while the rate of decline in vigor in radicle length and hypocotyl length was influenced by maternal effects. The results of the analysis showed that the rate of decline in chili seed vigor controlled by the core gene resulted in medium to high broad heritability values, and heritability in a very low to medium narrow sense. The elder whose general joining power value is high is IPB C15 elder and the cross whose special joining power value is high and the positive heterosis value is IPB C9 x IPB C10 cross. Keywords: Genetic Parameters, Half Diallel, Vigor Chili Seeds, Hybrids  INTISARITujuan penelitian ini adalah menduga varian aditif, varian dominan, varian genetik, varian lingkungan, varian fenotipe, heritabilitas arti sempit (h2ns), heritabilitas arti luas, (h2bs), daya gabung umum, daya gabung khusus, heterosis, dan heterobioltiosis. Benih tetua cabai yang digunakan adalah benih varietas unggul cabai hasil penelitian koleksi bagian genetika dan pemuliaan tanaman IPB. Genotype tersebut terdiri dari IPB C2, IPB C9, IPB C10, IPB C15 dan benih persilangan half diallel. Untuk menduga efek resiprokal digunakan persilangan IPB C10 x IPB C2. Metode pengujian vigor benih cabai yang digunakan adalah metode pengusangan cepat dengan methanol 20% pada lima periode waktu 0, 2, 4, 6 dan 8 jam. Pengamatan pada 7 tolok ukur yaitu (1) daya berkecambah benih (DB), (2) panjang radikula (PR), (3) panjang hipokotil (PH), (4) bobot basah kecambah normal (BK), (5) kecepatan tumbuh (KCt), (6) daya hantar listrik (DHL) dan (7) kadar air (KA). Pendugaan parameter genetik menggunakan analisis daya gabung. Hasil pendugaan efek resiprokal menunjukkan bahwa laju penurunan vigor pada daya berkecambah, kecepatan tumbuh dan daya hantar listrik, tidak ada pengaruh maternal sehingga gen yang mengendalikan vigor benih dikendalikan oleh inti, sedangkan pada laju penurunan vigor pada panjang radikula dan panjang hipokotil dipengaruhi oleh efek maternal. Hasil analisis menunjukkan laju penurunan vigor benih cabai yang dikendalikan oleh gen inti menghasilkan nilai heritabilitas luas yang sedang hingga tinggi, dan heritabilitas dalam arti sempit yang sangat rendah hingga sedang. Tetua yang nilai daya gabung umum tinggi adalah tetua IPB C15 dan persilangan yang nilai daya gabung khusus tinggi dan nilai heterosis positif adalah persilangan IPB C9 x IPB C10. Kata Kunci: Parameter Genetik, Half Diallel, Vigor Benih Cabai, Hibrida

Abstract

Kualitas udara yang buruk di sekitar lingkungan sekolah merupakan masalah yang mendesak perhatian, terutama di daerah perkotaan yang padat penduduk. Kendaraan bermotor adalah salah satu penyebab polusi udara yang dominan di wilayah Daerah Khusus Jakarta. SMA Bunda Kandung terletak di pinggir Jl. Poltangan Raya, Kelurahan Pejaten Timur, Kecamatan Pasar Minggu, Jakarta Selatan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi pencemaran udara, dampaknya terhadap kesehatan dan solusinya serta mengajak siswa-siswa SMA Bunda Kandung untuk peduli terhadap lingkungan dengan cara menanam dan merawat tanaman yang dapat menyerap polutan di halaman sekolah. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di SMA Bunda Kandung yang diikuti oleh siswa kelas XII. SMA Bunda Kandung adalah sebuah sekolah menengah atas yang terletak di daerah perkotaan yang menghadapi masalah polusi udara. Tanaman hias yang digunakan yaitu Sansevieria, pucuk merah, sirih gading, dan peace lily. Selain memberikan manfaat bagi kesehatan siswa dan staf sekolah, penanaman tanaman hias juga meningkatkan estetika lingkungan sekolah dan menciptakan kesadaran lingkungan yang lebih baik di kalangan siswa. Hasil dan pengalaman dari kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat menjadi inspirasi bagi sekolah-sekolah lain dalam mengimplementasikan solusi inovatif untuk mengatasi masalah polusi udara dan meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan di lingkungan pendidikan. Masyarakat sekolah diberdayakan untuk menjadi agen perubahan dalam upaya menjaga lingkungan yang sehat dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

One of the problems of horticultural seeds is the lack of quality of seeds. This experiment aims to evaluate the methods of rapidly pouring hybrid, non-hybrid, local, introduced cayenne pepper seeds and large quantities produced in 2014 and 2016. Non-hybrid seeds were 4 production genotypes in 2014 and 4 in 2016. The hybrid seeds used were 10 production genotypes in 2014 and 8 in 2016. The data analysis used is an analysis of the regression line's angle of inclination, which is the angle resulting from the comparison of the ordinate and abscissa. Based on the results of rapid pouring tests using 20% methanol for 0, 2-, 4-, 6- and 8-hour information, the storability of seeds produced in 2014 was better and higher than in 2016 Therefore, hybrid chili seeds and non-hybrid chili seeds have the same seed storability vigor, as well as between local vs introduced chili seed also large chili seed vs cayenne pepper.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the potential of sorghum development in Indonesia by evaluating the interaction between different sorghum varieties and urea fertilizer dosages. The research employed a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with two treatment factors: three sorghum varieties (Bioguma 1, Bioguma 2, Bioguma 3) and four urea dosages (0, 50, 100, 150 kg/ha), resulting in 12 treatment combinations replicated three times. Conducted over four months in a sub-urban area of Jakarta, the site was characterized by warm temperatures, high humidity, and unstable weather conditions including rain and strong winds. Despite these challenges, sorghum plants showed consistent growth. The results revealed that the interaction between sorghum varieties and fertilizer dosages significantly influenced plant development. Among all combinations, Bioguma 3 treated with 150 kg/ha urea demonstrated the best performance. These findings emphasize the importance of selecting optimal variety and fertilizer combinations to enhance sorghum cultivation in similar agro-climatic regions.

Abstract

The ability of seed to maintain seed quality during storage is called seed vigor. Accurate method for seed vigor testing of pepper seeds is necessary to accurately determine seed storability during seed distribution. The aim of this research was to determine the best accelerated aging method (AAM) of pepper seed. Freshly harvested seeds of Capsicum annuumL., IPB C9 genotype were used in this study. The experiment used randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications. The experimental treatments were seed vigor testing methods i.e. natural deterioration test at room temperature in controlled humidity (RH 90-95%), and four AAM (hot water 60 ºC, methanol 20%, ethanol 20%, and high temperature at 40 ºC). The best method was selected using analysis of variance, coeficient of variance, regresion dan t student analysis. AAM using 20% methanol at periods of 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 hours was the best method of seed vigor testing for pepper seed. Keywords: accelerated aging, deterioration, ethanol, methanol, high temperature
