Abstract

This study aims to produce cooling system learning media in an easy way to operate and suitable to be used in teaching and learning activities. This type of research was Research and Development with the procedure of developing the media through 10 stages. The technique of collecting data used the validation sheet. The data analysis technique used quantitative analysis. The result of the media expert validation shows that the flash-based cooling system learning media is feasible with an average of 96.4% which included three aspects of assessment, namely: aspects of media display, use of images, sound and evaluation questions, and navigation systems. The result of the material expert validation showed that the learning media of flash-based engineering images was very feasible with the average of 85.4% which included three aspect of assessment, namely: aspects of material relevance, an aspect of learning materials content, and aspect of multimedia ease of operation. The results of user evaluations indicate that flash-based cooling system learning media was very feasible, with the percentage of 84.5% in small group trials and 82.6 in large group trials covering 5 aspects, namely: an aspect of material relevance, a content of learning materials, convenience operation, navigation menu, and system display design.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to develop a job sheet for the practice of animation video-based lathe machining for the learning media and test the level of feasibility of the results produced. This research method is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4-D model consisting of four stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The subject of the study consisted of material experts, media experts, and students of class XI machining techniques at Muhammadiyah Vocational School Prambanan. The object of the study is the flat lathe machining technique of class XI machining techniques. The instrument used was a questionnaire. While the data analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive analysis. The applications used in developing this job sheet include SSCNC (Swansoft CNC Simulator), bandicam, and wondershare filmora. The results of this study include: (1) the research produced an animation video-based learning media consisting of 6 subjects; and (2) the level of feasibility of animated videos is very feasible, it is known from the results of material expert validation reaching an average value of 71.50 with a percentage of 89.50% in the very feasible category. The results of media expert validation reached a value of 73 with a percentage of 91% in the very feasible category. The results of the small class test obtained an average score of 62.31 with a percentage of 86% in the very feasible category and the results of the large class test obtained an average score of 59.55 with a percentage of 83% in the very feasible category.

Abstract

This classroom action research is motivated by the condition of the pre-research that shows students are lacking self-confidence and lack of enthusiasm in participating in educational learning with a teacher center approach. This study aims to introduce Problem-based learning with the Tri-Nga (Ngerti-Ngrasa-Nglakoni) approach to increase student passion to be ready to become vocational teachers. The study uses the Kemmis Taggart model with 2 cycles consisting of planning, implementation, and reflection. Study material for the first cycle of direct instruction and the second cycle of indirect instruction. The research subjects were 29 students of PKK study program in semester 3 of 2019-2020 academic class A in the FKIP UST. Data collection techniques through observation and interviews were analyzed descriptively. The results showed an increase in student passion shown by the aspects of understanding, feeling, and nglakoni which increased significantly. Students can understand the knowledge, attitudes, and skills that must be possessed by vocational teachers by analyzing learning problems in vocational schools, best practice, and reviewing instructional videos, students can appreciate the teaching profession through the study of various learning methods, and students practice learning through teaching simulations.

Abstract

This study describes an assessment instrument based on Higher-Order and Thinking Skills (HOTS) made by students of the Teacher Profession Program (PPG) Daljab I batch 2021. This research is a descriptive study. The population of this study was 34 students of Daljab I Group I batch 2021, Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa Yogyakarta. The research sample consisted of 9 students from the DIY Province. The data and data sources used are assessment instruments (questions) that are compiled while students are taking PPG and have been uploaded in the form of Learning Tools III. The data analysis technique uses Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The results show that from 9 samples, 96 questions were obtained. Of the 96 items, 65 questions are HOTS (68.8%) and 31 questions are not HOTS (32.2%). The instrument questions that were made did not meet the HOTS due to the following reasons. 1) Questions that have not been HOTS are still below C3. 2) Some questions do not use a stimulus, but there are some HOTS questions that use a stimulus in the form of discourse, stories, and pictures; 2) Some questions have not been taken from the context of the real world/daily life; 3) some of the questions given do not contain critical, logical, metacognitive, and creative thinking processes. 4) Some of the questions have not applied the rules for multiple choice/explanation/filling questions.

Abstract

Research and Development 4-D research design. Phase 4-D includes: define, design, develop and disseminate. The define phase aims to gather various information related to the product to be developed. The design phase aims to prepare the initial product design. The develop phase aims to produce a decent website. Disseminate phase is the final stage in product development. The subjects in this study consisted of two namely validator (expert expert online administration system and administration). The results of research on the development of eSpeSI according to validation or assessment from experts in the appropriate or good category if it will be applied in the field with the page https://ptm.ustjogja.ac.id/spesi/web/, while based on trials from users in this case students UST mechanical engineering education by stating the response was very good.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) gambaran kekuatan dan kelemahan Soft skills mahasiswa tingkat akhir prodi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin UST; dan (2) atribut Soft skills yang masih perlu dikembangkan untuk dikuasai mahasiswa tingkat akhir prodi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin UST. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampling menggunakan proportionate stratified random sampling. Adapun sampelnya berjumlah 59 mahasiswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket tentang penilaian Soft skills yang dinilai oleh guru pembimbing Magang III di SMK. Data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dengan bantuan SPSS 19.00.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kualitas Soft skills mahasiswa PTM sudah baik, dengan perolehan mean 263,86 dan capaian percentages correction-nya 76,48%; (2) tiap indikator atribut Soft skills masuk dalam kategori cukup, baik, dan sangat baik. Adapun urutan pengembangannya disesuaikan dengan penghitungan nilai rata-rata terendah tiap indikator yaitu inisiatif, manajemen waktu, kerja dalam tim, kemampuan analitis, komunikasi lisan, kreatif, menyelesaikan persoalan, motivasi, mendengarkan, berpikir kritis, kemauan belajar, dapat meringkas, berargumentasi logis, manajemen diri, dapat diandalkan, tangguh, berkoperasi, komitmen, mandiri, dapat mengatasi stres, bersemangat, etika, dan fleksibel.

Abstract

Planthopper and grasshopper pests that attack rice plants in the Padukuhan Pondok rice fields, Condongcatur have an impact on decreasing productivity of rice farmers. The objectives of this community service are: (1) to produce an IoT-based techno-pest control device by utilizing solar cells as power supply; (2) increasing the skills of farmers in using efficient technology that is economical, modern and environmentally friendly. The methods used include experimentation, socialization and training. This community service activity is the manufacture of IoT-based techno-pest control tools and tool dissemination. The dissemination activity was successfully held and attended by 50 participants from the farmer's group of culinary sources, the participants actively asked questions and were enthusiastic in practicing the operation of the tools. 85% of participants can operate the equipment in groups. Techno-pest control tools can eradicate planthoppers and grasshoppers at a radius of 6m within 4 hours via 40kHz ultrasonic waves. This tool is integrated on the internet to monitor the situation of rice fields by accessing the website http://pkm.ptm.ustjogja.ac.id.

Abstract

The research objectives were to: (1) Describe the process of developing e-module lathe machining techniques for class XI SMK. (2) Knowing the feasibility of e-module lathe machining techniques class XI SMK. This research includes a mixed type of qualitative and quantitative research called research and development (Research and Development). The development of this teaching material uses the 4D research and development model which consists of the define , design , development and dissemination . The subjects in this study consisted of material experts and media experts, namely PVTM UST Yogyakarta study program lecturers, as well as class XI students majoring in Mechanical Engineering SMK as users of the developed learning media. Data collection techniques using Google Forms and observation. Data analysis techniques use qualitative and quantitative descriptive approaches. (3) The results of this study are e-modules/electronic modules for lathe machining techniques. The e-module was declared good for use based on due diligence according to material experts with a total percentage of 79.7%, media experts with a total percentage of 77.9%, small group test results with a total percentage of 79.6% and large group trials with a total percentage of 83.6%. (4) Based on these data, the class XI lathe machining technique e-module is very suitable for use in learning.

Abstract

AbstrakDengan menggunakan metode pengembangan penelitian dan pendekatan RD dengan model ADDIE, saya yakin pengembangan media pembelajaran yang interaktif dan menarik akan meningkatkan pemahaman dan minat siswa dalam mempelajari materi gambar teknik. Selanjutnya saya berharap media pembelajaran yang saya kembangkan dapat memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran gambar teknik di SMK. Hasil penelitian dari media Microsoft PowerPoint yang saya kembangkan terlebih dahulu saya desain materinya dalam Microsoft PowerPoint dan setelah itu saya membuat video tutorial gambar teknik disertai dengan soal evaluasi untuk siswa. Abstract

Industry 4.0 is a challenge for organizations , technological advances must be optimized as well as possible. Cooperation is a concept that can be done to build a stronger and more sustainable creative economy in the digital era. Strengthening creative ideas with marketing strategies and product design will increase consumer appeal such as through websites, e-commerce, social media with wide and easy reach. The purpose of this study is to develop international cooperation for branding the local creative economy through marketing strategies and creative product design. The research method uses action research, action research by developing collaboration between PVTM, Maeswara Basket and UiTM Malaysia. through the concept of marketing strategy including digital marketing, product design and catalog by collecting observation data, interviews and documentation and data analysis through collection, reduction and drawing conclusions. The results of the study describe international cooperation as an effort to improve strong marketing strategies through technology and the concept of local green economy through environmentally friendly products and more modern product design concepts and international branding are expected to provide appeal to consumers.
