Abstract

This research was to improve social skills and the result of scientific of students study with aplication of cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type. This was because there was learning problem in the class of VIII E Junior High School 12 Yogyakarta. That was 1) the result of scientific of students study was low; 2) students antusiasm in the learning activity was low; 3) interaction student with student and student with teacher was low; 4) students was pasive; and 5) the students social skills in the case of empatic, cooperative, and solidarity communication was low. The learning metode that was applied was the result of class action. In this result teacher o researcher and to be observer. The subject o this research was the student o class VIII E Junior High School 12 Yogyakarta which has 32 students. The object this research was coperative learning model TGT, social skills, and the result of students study. After using cooperative learning model TGT, this research was down in 2 cycle ang it every cycle consist of planning, acting, observation, and reflection. The technic data collection through observation sheet, interview, westionair, field note, test, and documentation. The research result indicated that social skills ang the result of scientific students study can improve after giving action. Social skills had increase which was indicated with by its appearing student social skills in every cycle as case of empatic, cooperative, and solidarity skills. The improvement result of scientific student amount was achieve minimum thoroughness criteria > 65% and improvement average at evaluation value in every cycle it was from 70,14 at first cycle to be 84,38 at second cycle. The efforts was down the teacher need impove assistance on group, study group with intensive in order to the student can to cooperative, to empatic, and to solidarity, and the teacher need giving motivation in order to students have believe in with capability students.

Abstract

The  research aims to know the result of learning natural science of SMP Negeri 1 Tepus Gunungkidul school year 2013/2014 which through quantum teaching learning and direct instruction. In comparative term in the research to determine the differences in the result of  learning natural science eight grade student in SMP Negeri 1 Tepus Gunungkidul school year 2013/2014 at the between used quantum teaching learning and direct instruction in terms of critical thinking skill.This research did in SMP Negeri 1 Tepus Gunungkidul in academic 2013/2014. The population in the research was 126 students at the eight grade from four classes. This research in clude on descriptive comparatif. Was like “quasi eksperiment”. The sample got random sampling technical where two classes take a randomly from four classes there, VIII C as control class and VIII D as eksperiment class. The quetion validity tested with. Product moment corelation. The instrument reliability tested with KR-20 formula and got the reliabel criteria rt = 0,6924. The analysis technical used anakova test after this tested with analysis requirement induded disreminate normality test, variance homogenity, and connection linierity test.Descritively, the result of the study showed that propensity of learning natural science result at the eight grade student in SMP Negeri 1 Tepus Gunungkidul scool year 2013/2014 which through with quantum teaching learning and direct instruction included of high category. Inclination of critical thinking skill students with quantum teaching included very high category and while with direct instructionincluded high category. Comparatively there was significanly deference of science learning outcomer at the eight grade student in SMP Negeri 1 Tepus Gunungkidul in academic year 2013/2014 between used quantum teaching learning and direct instruction observed from critical thinking skill.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe (1) the development of interactive multimedia of science subject by using macromedia flash and (2) the quality of interactive multimedia of science subject in energy and effort material. The type of this study was research and development. The research instrument was questionnaire. Data analyzing techniques were conducted by (1) tabulating data, 2) calculating the average score, and 3) changing the average score based on score category. Based on the result of product testing through expert of media, developing interactive multimedia by using macromedia flash in the teaching of energy and effort material that were seen from aspects of media features and organization were very good. The grading of learning media based on the aspect of teaching and material based on material expert was very good. The result of product testing by the teacher of science subject that was seen from aspects of teaching, material, media features, and the use was very good. The result of product teaching by the seventh grade students of SMP that was seen from aspects of teaching, material, feature, media, and the use was very good. Based on those descriptions, it could be concluded that teaching media of science subject by using macromedia flash was effective and efficient as the teaching tool for the teacher in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of interactive multimedia on motivation and students’ science learning result. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method. The research was conducted in SMP Negeri 10 Yogyakarta involving 68 Seventh Grade students are divided into two groups, namely the class VII D as an experimental group and a control group VIIE class. Research results obtained t value (tvalue) students' motivation is greater than the value ttable 1% (3.321> 2,625) means that there are very significant differences in motivation between the experimental class and the control class. From post test data study results demonstrate the value of t (tvalue) is greater than the value ttable 5% (2.520> 1.996) means that there are significant differences in learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class. It can be concluded that more effective use of interactive multimedia used in science teaching.

Abstract

This research was aimed to improve motivation and evaluation of science for grade VII B students through concept map at SMP negeri 12 Yogyakarta in the second semester academic year 2013/2014. This research is Classroom Action Research that was collaboratively. The subject of this study is 34 students in class VII B at SMP Negeri 12 Yogyakarta. Thr object of this study is teaching by using concept map, motivation, and students evaluation. The collecting data method used observation, documentation, questionaire and test. The result of this research showed that after nimplementing concept map, motivation and evaluation grade VIIB students became better and improved. This showed that by improvment of average percentage of learning motivation for each cycle, indicator average of motivation pra cycle is 63,3% improve become 73, 3% in cycle I and 78,7% in cycle II. The average of evaluation in cycle I is 73 become 79 in cycle II. A lot of students can reach the KKM in cycle I are 17 students with 50% persentage. In cycle II become 79,41% one 27 students can reach KKM. Based on the result of the research , the writer gave advice for scince teacher to implement concept map as the variation of teaching and learning method.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of cooperative learning model quetion Students Have (QSH) on learning outcomes IPA. The method used is the quasi-experimental method. This research was conducted at the Junior High School 11 Yogyakarta 2014/2015 school year involving 66 students of class VII, namely class VIIB and VIID. Collecting data using the documentation techniques and engineering tests. The results were obtained data showing the value t of t-test was done, tvalue greater than the value ttable 1 % (2,752 > 2,660), thus it can be concluded that cooperative learning model Question Students Have (QSH) is more effective in learning science compared with expository learning.

Abstract

The objective for this research is to recognize the differences between learning using Pictorial Riddle method and speech method by evaluating the result study of 8th grade science class students at Taman Dewasa Ibu Pawiyatan Junior High School. The research is Quasi Experiment. Its design is using Matched Group Pretest Posttest Design.  Based on statistical calculation, the average post-test results for control class and experiment class are 58,296 and 71,036. Through this calculation, we have tcount around 2,469 with p-value 0,16 in scale 5%. Since 0,016 is less then 0,05 (0,016 < 0,05) means there is a significant different study result for science’s (IPA’s) students. By using whole calculation, we have post-test average score for control class and experiment class in row 13,963 and 17,036 in which are in normal curve include in middle and high categories. It means learning using Pictorial Riddle method gives better influence towards study result improvement for 8th grade students in learning science (IPA).

Abstract

The aims of this study to understand the difference of the results learn science between conducted using indoor learning and outdoor learning. This study included in the kind of research quasi experiment. The research was conducted at Junior High Schools 11 Yogyakarta academic year 2014/2015 which consisted of 137 students. Of 4 class obtained class VIIB and VIIC. Technique the data collection was done with using a technique documentation and technique test. The results of the analysis by using uji-t show the data having value thitung = 2,830 with p = 0,006, because p < 0,01 so can be concluded that the difference very significant on the outcome of learning science between conducted using indoor leaning with outdoor learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kecenderungan minat dan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VIII SMP Taman Dewasa Ibu Pawiyatan tahun ajaran 2015/2016 antara yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray  dengan model pembelajaran ekspositori. Secara komparatif untuk mengetahui perbedaan minat dan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VIII SMP Taman Dewasa Ibu Pawiyatan tahun ajaran 2015/2016 antara yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray  dengan model pembelajaran ekspositori. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat Quasi Eksperiment dan design penelitian menggunakan Matched Group Pretest Posttest Design. Hasil penelitian secara deskriptif analisis uji-t minat belajar  diperoleh thitung = 19,929 dengan p = 0,000 yang berarti bahwa p < 0,05, sedangkan analisis uji-t hasil belajar diperoleh thitung = 2,424 dengan p = 0,018 yang berarti bahwa p < 0,05. Karena p < 0,05, maka maka dapat disimpulkan ada perbedaan yang sangat signifikan minat dan hasil belajar IPA antara pembelajaran yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray dengan model pembelajaran ekspositori.

Abstract

Penelitian ini secara deskriptif bertujuan untuk mengetahui kecenderungan prestasi belajar IPA yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model kooperatif tipe Team Individualization Assisted dan ekspositori. Secara komparatif untuk mengetahui perbedaan prestasi belajar IPA siswa kelas VIII SMP Pembangunan Karangmojo tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 antara model pembelajaran Team Assisted Individualization dan ekspositori. Jenis penelitian adalah Quasi Eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi dan tes. Persyaratan analisis meliputi uji normalitas sebaran, dan uji homogenitas varian. Teknik analisis data menggunakan t-test. Hasil penelitian secara deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa kecenderungan prestasi belajar IPA yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model kooperatif tipe Team Individualization Assisted termasuk kategori tinggi dan model pembelajaran ekspositori termasuk kategori sedang. Rata-rata skor kelompok kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari kelompok kontrol. Dengan demikian, ada pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Assisted Individualization terhadap prestasi belajar IPA siswa kelas VIII Pembangunan Karangmojo
