Abstract

Fresh milk is highly nutritious food because its contain substances that complete food. The high nutritional value of milk causes a media which is preferred by the microorganisms to grow and develop in a very short time become unfit milk consumed when handled incorrectly. Safety milk from contamination during the distribution process becomes very important because of a race against time. Considering the conditions on the farm people milk distribution process normally without treatment (cooling), so that the required distribution by the shortest route, the fastest time and low cost. This study aims to minimize lines and distribution costs of fresh milk as marketing efficiency efforts. The research location is taken purposively based on the consideration that the District Mojosongo has the second largest population of dairy cows in Boyolali. The analytical method used is the analysis of marketing costs, margins and profit marketing, marketing efficiency and Traveling Salesman Problem analysis to determine the shortest distance, fastest time and lowest cost. Fresh milk marketing channels used dairy producers in the district Mojosongo there are three channels following the channel I: Farmer to Consumer, Channel II: Farmers to Traders collector to Consumer and Channels III: Farmers to Traders collector to wholesaler to the milk processing industry. Abstract

The research was conducted to determine the feasibility of financial on beef cattle farming and calculate the Break Even Point (BEP) in Sleman District. Survey methods was done to collect primary data at the farm level and secondary data from related institution. Criteria used to analyze the feasibility of financial were consisted of Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR), Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Payback Period (PPC), based on 7 years investment and 12% annual discount factor. The result showed that based on NPV, IRR, BCR and PPC analysis, the most feasible investment of cattle breeding farm under farmers’ condition was achieved when farmers keep Limousine grade cattle, followed by Simmental and Ongole grade cattle. In term of PPC, farmers who keep Limousine grade cattle were able to return the investment during 3.25 years while for Simmental and Ongole grade cattle were 3.44 and 5.19 years, respectively. The BEP of keeping Simmental, Limousine and Ongole grade cattle were 8, 9 and 7 cows/farmer, respectively, which mean that farmers will annually benefited from keeping cattle when the number of cows was larger than those of BEP.

Abstract

Kata kunci : peran, KWT, olahan ikan lele Abstract Women's participation in development is very important. It cannot be denied the role of women in maintaining economic stability and family welfare. The existence of women can be demonstrated by their involvement in a group, including the women's farmer group (KWT). In the city of Surakarta there are 65 KWTs that still exist and are active, including the Ngudi Makmur which is located in Joglo Village, Banjarsari District. KWT Ngudi Makmur has been carrying out activities in the agricultural sector since 2018, and continues to grow, in 2023 cultivating 2000 catfish. KWT Ngudi Makmur's catfish cultivation has been certified by the Central Java Fisheries Service for Good Fish Cultivation Methods (CBIB), however the price of catfish produced when sold cannot be higher than the price of catfish on the market. This condition motivated KWT to develop a catfish processing business, including fish nuggets and meatballs. This community empowerment was carried out with the aim of increasing the knowledge and skills of KWT Ngudi Makmur in developing a catfish processing business. The results that have been achieved include training activities on processing catfish into nuggets and meatballs, business development assistance by providing equipment grants, production and marketing assistance. thereby increasing the selling value of catfish and optimizing the role of KWT in improving family welfare in providing nutritious food and income.
