Abstract

Learning science, especially learning astronomy subjects, is still very limited in activities carried out by students. The observation of the sky map provided is adequate as a learning media that can support student curiosity and concept understanding of stars for students. The research aims to explore the relationship between students 'conceptions of the stars using a sky map application, students' perceptions of Heaven Above media and visual literacy in the implementation of learning astronomy courses. Research participants involved 72 students who took astronomy lessons. The instrument consisted of a observation sheet and a questionnaire that had gone through the construct and content validation process. Data analysis using quantitative analysis factor analysis and determines normalized gain to descripe an increase in student visual literacy of stargazing. In addition, the calculation of the proportion questionnaire for students 'conceptions of learning and students' perceptions of the heaven view application then analyzes the factors to show the correlation. The result of this research is understanding that a deeper understanding of the concept and experience of maps is a need of students who can support the learning community in learning to observe more interesting stars. Visual literacy has increased between twice observation.

Abstract

Students' analytical thinking skills are still lacking, causing students' understanding of physics lessons to be less than optimal. The research was conducted to examine the effectiveness of direct current electric video with an inquiry approach to students' analytical thinking skills and student responses to the video. The research method applied in this research is quasi-experimental with the research design of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique is purposive sampling data collection techniques using analytical thinking skills tests and questionnaires to video tutorials responses. The data analysis technique uses parametric quantitative analysis. The results of the analysis of hypothesis testing on the data of analytical thinking skills that had been carried out showed that the video tutorial learning media has not been effective in improving students' analytical thinking skills, while the results of student responses to direct current electric video tutorial learning media obtained a percentage of 70.67% and classified as good category. Students' analytical skills require more intensive practice and challenging routine assignments. Students' interest in the tutorials provided can only increase motivation to be involved in learning. The implications of this research can focus on innovative video tutorials on contextual physics experiments in life and more challenging experiments.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi keterampilan argumentasi mahasiswa dan interaksi keterampilan-keterampilan yang mempengaruhi perubahan keterampilan argumentasi akibat pengetahuan konseptual dalam proses perkuliahan fisika dasar materi induksi magnetik. Sampel penelitian ini 33 mahasiswa mata kuliah fisika dasar semester genap. Mahasiswa menyampaikan argumentasi tertulis dan lisan masing-masing tiga kali perulangan selama diskusi ilmiah. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan quasy experiment dengan posttest only control group design. Group interview, observasi individu dan tes merupakan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa mahasiswa mampu membangun sebagian keterampilan argumentasi dalam bentuk dukungan dan tambahan dalam rangkaian konsepsi ilmiah. Eksplorasi konten induksi magnetik memunculkan berbagai keterampilan argumentasi selama diskusi ilmiah sehingga memicu berbagai interaksi keterampilan terkait dengan pengetahuan konseptual mahasiswa. Diskusi ilmiah memicu sifat interaktif menggunakan dukungan teknologi informasi yang dapat mendukung mahasiswa mengeksplorasi konten dalam diskusi ilmiah. Pengetahuan konseptual yang diperoleh terkait teori dasar induksi magnetik yang berkembang dalam argumentasi mahasiswa.

Abstract

Kualitas pelaksanaan laboratorium akan sangat ditentukan oleh asisten laboratorium yang melakukan pendampingan praktikum. Asisten laboratorium yang melaksanakan tugasnya dengan baik sesuai dengan standar kinerja laboratorium akan meningkatkan kualitas dari suatu laboratoium. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengetahuan asisten laboratorium tentang standarisasi alat praktikum fisika dasar I dan keterampilan kinerja awal pada laboratorium fisika UIN Walisongo Semarang untuk mengetahui kesiapan dari asisten laboratorium dalam melaksanakan pendampingan praktikum. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan data melalui kuisioner dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dinyatakan bahwa pengetahuan asisten laboratorium terkait standar spesifikasi alat diperoleh nilai persentase rata-rata 72,7% dan pengetahuan asisten laboratorium terkait standar penggunaan alat diperoleh nilai persentase rata-rata 91%. Pengetahuan asisten laboratorium terkait standarisasi alat praktikum dipengaruhi oleh pelatihan asisten laboratorium yang merupakan bekal yang mendasar sebelum terjun sebagai pendamping praktikum dan ditambah dengan latihan mandiri dan kelompok asisten fisika dasar dengan arahan dosen pengampu praktikum

Abstract

Pemeriksaan kesehatan merupakan pemeriksaan yang berfokus pada pencegahan primer dan sekunder, dengan melihat secara holistik berbagai faktor kesehatan yang dapat menyebabkan penyakit tertentu di masa depan. Pemeriksaaan yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode non-invasif sesuai dengan salah satu prinsip zero waste yaitu mengurangi limbah medis. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan profil kadar gula darah, kolesterol dan asam urat menggunakan metode non-invasif berbasis prinsip zero waste dan mencegah berbagai resiko penyakit akibat kadar yang melebihi ambang normal. Metode penerapan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini terdiri dari tiga tahap, yakni persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Persiapan berupa persiapan tempat, alat dan perangkat tambahan. Pelaksanaan berupa penjelasan alat dan pemeriksaan kesehatan. Evaluasi berupa wawancara dengan warga terkait kesan saat menggunakan alat dan feedback terkait hasil pemeriksaan. Hasil pemeriksaan kesehatan pada 29 warga menunjukkan rata-rata profil kadar gula darah 148.93 mg/dl, kadar kolesterol 102.24 mg/dl, dan kadar asam urat 3.17 mg/dl. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa rata-rata kadar gula darah sedikit di atas ambang normal, sedangkan kadar kolesterol dan asam urat berada pada ambang normal. Warga merasa sangat nyaman dengan pemeriksaan non-invasif karena tidak perlu melukai jari untuk mengambil sampel.

Abstract

High blood sugar, cholesterol and uric acid are non-communicable diseases and are one of the causes of death in the world. Generally, this disease is very susceptible to be suffered by the elderly. One of the tests to monitor blood sugar, cholesterol, and uric acid levels is with an invasive disposable test kit. This method is inefficient because it causes the risk of infection, increases medical waste and is quite expensive. Real work students from Walisongo State Islamic University Semarang group 53 held a free examination in Krandon Village as an effort to carry out community service through appropriate technology in the health sector. Examination tools are made by lecturers and students using non-invasive methods (without injuring the body). Based on the results of student interviews with the community and health workers, this work program received a good response because the examination did not cause pain and helped reduce medical waste in the environment.

Abstract

Learning media an important role in supporting the learning process as a tool for students to gain mastery of the material. This study aims to produce valid fluidmistar media and analyze the increase in students' creative thinking skill after using fluidmistar learning media. Research and development is a method specifically using the ADDIE development model. The data collection technique used was a test of creative thinking skills and a student response questionnaire. The results of the expert's assessment stated that fluidmistar media was feasible to use improve creative thinking skills through inquiry learning. The implementation of fluidmistar media in inquiry learning was applied to students of senior high school in Sragen, Central Java with a total sample of 58 students. Student responses to the Fluidmistar learning media obtained good category. The results of students' positive responses indicate that the developed media to improve students' creative thinking skill and positive responses. The increase in creative thinking skill can be seen based on the pretest and posttest score tested through the N-gain test obtained at 0.74 in the high category. Fluidmistar learning media is suitable for use in inquiry learning to improve students' creative thinking skills on dynamic fluid material.Keywords: fluidmistar media; inquiry; creative thinking skillMedia pembelajaran memberikan peranan penting dalam menunjang proses pembelajaran  sebagai  alat  bantu  bagi  siswa  untuk  mencapai  penguasaan materi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media fluidmistar yang valid dan menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa setelah implementasi menggunakan media pembelajaran fluidmistar. Penelitian dan pengembangan    merupakan   metode   yang   khusus   menerapkan   model pengembangan ADDIE. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes keterampilan  berpikir kreatif  dan  angket  respon  siswa.  Hasil  penilaian  ahli menyatakan bahwa media fluidmistar layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan  berpikir  kreatif  melalui  pembelajaran  inkuiri.  Implementasi media  fluidmistar  dalam  pembelajaran  inkuiri  diterapkan  pada  siswa  salah satu SMA Muhammasiyah 2 Gemolong Jawa Tengah dengan jumlah sampel 58  siswa.  Hasil  validasi  ahli  media  diperoleh  hasil  rekomendasi  dari  aspek data  dan  grafik  (90%),  kombinasi  warna  (92%),  pemilihan  teks  (88%), relevasi  konten  (86%),  presentasi  audio  visual  (85%)  and  efektivitas  media pembelajaran (87%). Media Fluidmistar dinyatakan layak digunakan sebagai media    pembelajaran    konsep    fluida.    Respon    siswa    terhadap    media pembelajaran Fluidmistar diperoleh kategori baik. Hasil respon positif siswa menunjukkan   bahwa   media   yang   dikembangkan   dapat   meningkatkan keterampilan  berpikir  kreatif  siswa  dan  respon  positif.        Peningkatan keterampilan  berpikir  kreatif  dapat  dilihat  berdasarkan  skor  pretest  dan posttest yang diuji melalui uji N-gain diperoleh sebesar0,74 dengan kategori tinggi. Media pembelajaran fluidmistar cocok digunakan dalam pembelajaran inkuiri  untuk  meningkatkan  kemampuan  berpikir  kreatif  siswa  pada  materi fluida dinamis.

Abstract

This research aims to develop learning media products through educational videos based on local wisdom to improve critical thinking skills on temperature and heat. The research type is research and development using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). The study subjects were students of class X MIPA SMA Al-Hadi Girikusuma Mranggen Demak. Data collection techniques used are tests in the form of pretest-posttest, questionnaires, and documentation. The results showed that media and material expert validation obtained an average of 95.86% with a very feasible category. Student responses to learning media in the form of educational videos based on local wisdom obtained an average of 71.08% with a very interesting category. Improved critical thinking skills can be seen based on pretest and posttest scores. The results of the pretest and posttest calculations using the Gain Test obtained a result of 0.67 in the medium category. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that educational videos based on local wisdom can improve students' critical thinking skills in the heat and temperature materials developed that meet the criteria of being very suitable for students to use as learning media and can improve critical thinking skills. The implication is that this approach can be used as an effective alternative in teaching and learning that aims to develop students' critical thinking skills. Students can associate abstract concepts with their cultural and environmental contexts by incorporating local wisdom values in temperature and heat learning materials. This can increase their understanding and provide a more meaningful learning experience.
