Abstract

Pentagamavunon-1 (PGV-1) is a curcumin analog which is known to inhibit the growth of cancer cells, bacteria and inhibit free radicals as an antioxidant agent. The purpose of this study was analyzed the pharmacokinetic profile and physicochemical properties of PGV-1 computationally. The predicted parameters were Lipinski rule of five, bioavailability, Blood Brain Barrier (BBB) ​​absorption, GI absorption, P-gp substrate, and prediction of metabolic enzymes involved in drug ADME processes. The results of this study indicate that the compound PGV-1 complies with the Lipinski rule of five with the characteristics of a molecular weight of 348.43 g/mol, hydrogen donor 2, hydrogen acceptor 3, Log P 4.71 and molar refractory 40-130. PGV-1 could absorb through the GI and can pass the blood brain barrier passively without P-gp protein. Several enzymes involved in the metabolism of PGV-1 are CYP2C19, CYP2C9, CYP 3A4. Thus, our finding suggest that PGV-1 can be developed as a drug target compound for active oral drugs.

Abstract

The possible uses of black pepper, a common spice used for cooking, have been expanded. Despite countless studies on its advantageous biological effects, it would be difficult to determine its effectiveness as an anti-aging and chemo-preventive medication. Piperine, chavicine, caryophyllene, and sabinene are a few examples of black pepper components that exhibit pharmacological characteristics. This article reviews black pepper's main ingredients and discusses how effective it is at preventing aging and cancer. Using Google Scholar, PubMed, and Medline for our electronic research, we screened pertinent papers from scientific journals. To help with the explanation in the narrative, all the data was compiled and summarized into tables and graphs. Overall, the anti-aging properties of black pepper and its constituents are exhibited through several pathways, including senescence prevention, antioxidant protection, control of ROS levels, and the inhibition of aging-related enzymes. Additionally, cell cycle regulation, antiangiogenic and anti-metastatic action, apoptosis induction, and the suppression of carcinogenesis are some of the mechanisms utilized in cancer prevention activities. It has been shown to have synergistic effects on several cancer cells when combined with doxorubicin. According to these studies, black pepper could be considered for development as an anti-aging and chemo-preventive agent.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Media Pembelajaran Interaktif Pengenalan Perangkat Keras Komputer Di SDN Surokarsan 2 Yogyakarta, dan untuk mengetahui kelayakan dari Media Pembelajaran Interaktif Pengenalan Perangkat Keras Komputer Di SDN Surokarsan 2 Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE melalui lima tahapan. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan metode angket instrumen validasi media, instrumen validasi materi dan angket responden. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa: (1) media pembelajaran interaktif pengenalan perangkat keras komputer dapat menjadi media belajar siswa. (2) media pembelajaran interaktif berisi materi disertai gambar dan suara untuk belajar mandiri siswa maupun bersama guru. (3) media pembelajaran interaktif pengenalan perangkat keras komputer memperoleh penilaian 94,13% dari ahli media, 88% dari ahli materi dan 85,13% dari responden. Sesuai hasil tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran interaktif pengenalan perangkat keras komputer yang dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan untuk pembelajaran di SDN Surokarsan 2 Yogyakarta.
