Hypertension or high blood pressure is an abnormal increase in blood pressure in the arteries or an increase in systolic blood pressure of more than 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure of more than 90 mmHg in two measurements with an interval of five minutes in a fairly calm/resting state. Common signs and symptoms that arise from hypertension are sore neck (neck pain). Neck pain due to hypertension makes the comfort needs of hypertensive patients not met. One of the non-pharmacological measures to reduce or overcome neck pain is a warm compress. A warm compress is giving a feeling of warmth / heat in a certain area. neck pain scale in hypertensive patients before warm compress therapy, said moderate pain 4 respondents (28.6%), severe pain 10 respondents (71.4%) with a standard deviation of 0.469. The pain scale of hypertensive patients after warm compress therapy was said to be moderate for 12 respondents (85.7%), the weight of 2 respondents (14.3%) with a standard deviation of 0.426. Hypertensive patients who experienced severe neck pain decreased, before being given treatment as many as 10 people, after being given treatment as many as 2 people. The application of warm compresses to hypertensive patients continues to be carried out for non-pharmacological therapy that can be carried out by the community at home.

Hemoglobin is a protein rich in iron. The hemoglobin molecule consists of a globin molecule, an apoprotein, and four heme groups, an organic molecule with one iron atom. The function of Hb in the blood is to carry oxygen to the lungs, to the tissues and carbon dioxide, this function depends on the amount of hemoglobin contained in red blood cells. Several nutrients are needed in the formation of red blood cells. Iron or Fe, Vitamin B12 and folic acid are the most important substances. Efforts to increase hemoglobin levels are related to the intake of foods containing iron, one of which is the provision of green bean boiled water. This service aims to determine the effect of giving boiled water mung bean to increase hemoglobin levels in office workers. The subjects in this service are 48 workers. The results of this service indicate that the workers' HB levels before giving boiled water to green beans are not normal, namely 39 (81.3%) respondents with an average obtained of 1.81. The HB levels of workers after giving boiled water of green beans were all normal HB categories as many as 48 (100%) respondents with the average obtained was 1.00. Data analysis using pre-test and post-test administration of mung bean boiled water in the experimental group showed the results where the p value was 0.000, the value was 0.000 <0.05, so it can be said that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test values. which means the hypothesis is accepted. The conclusion of this service is that there is an effect of giving green bean boiled water to increase hemoglobin levels in office workers. It is hoped that health workers will provide education to the director that boiled green beans can be used as an alternative to increase hemoglobin levels.

Osteoarthritis (OA) also known as degenerative joint disease is the most common in all forms of arthritis and causes pain and disability in the elderly. This disease is characterized by progressive loss of joint cartilage, synovitis (inflammation of the synovium that lines the joints), joint pain, stiffness, and loss of joint movement (Lemone, 2018:1679). Cutaneous stimulation that can be done is Slow-Stroke Back Massage. The correct use of cutaneous stimuli: slow-stroke back massage can reduce pain perception and help reduce muscle tension which can reduce pain intensity, besides that it can also cause dilation of blood vessels and improve blood circulation in the tissue. The purpose of this study was to determine the Effect of Cutaneous Stimulation of Slow Stroke Back Massage on Osteoarthritis Pain Intensity in the Elderly at Susoh Health Center, in 2021. This type of research is experimental. Data were analyzed for bivariate calculations in this study using Pair Samples t-test with the provisions of 0.05. Based on the results of statistical tests using the paired sample t-test, the p value (= 0.000) < (= 0.05) can be concluded that the hypothesis in the study is accepted, meaning that there is a difference in the mean pain intensity before and after cutaneous slow stroke stimulation.

Surgical procedures have a risk that the integrity or integrity of the body is disturbed and can even cause a life threat to the patient. One of the most at risk was the occurrence of postoperative hypothermia. In the postoperative recovery room, almost all postoperative patients were hypothermic. Nurses in the postoperative room usually provide blankets to warm patients who are hypothermic. This action was less effective to help patients overcome hypothermia. Giving warm fluids was considered effective to help increase the patient's body temperature. This workshop aims to provide knowledge and training on the administration of intravenous fluid heating elements to increase hypothermic body temperature to nurses in the post-surgical recovery room at the Grandmed hospital Lubuk Pakam. The evaluation of this workshop activity was seen from the knowledge of nurses and nurses' skills. Nurses' knowledge and skills were assessed using a questionnaire sheet and pre and post test observations. The results of the workshop showed that as many as 95% of nurses experienced an increase in knowledge and skills in overcoming hypothermia in postoperative patients. This workshop was expected to be able to overcome the problem of hypothermia in postoperative patients and increase the knowledge and skills of nurses.

This literature review explores the ethical dimensions of nursing management and their influence on leadership and professionalism. The study aims to synthesize current findings on how ethical values—such as justice, integrity, responsibility, honesty, and empathy—are integrated into nursing leadership practices. A total of 12 peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2025 were analyzed using a thematic synthesis approach. The results reveal that these ethical dimensions consistently underpin effective leadership and contribute to staff morale, decision-making quality, and organizational culture. However, challenges such as bureaucratic pressure, power imbalance, and the lack of formal ethical leadership training hinder consistent implementation. The findings suggest that ethical leadership is not only a moral ideal but a managerial competence that can be developed through education and structural support. The review highlights the need for healthcare institutions to incorporate ethical leadership development into both policy and practice to enhance nursing management outcomes.

Chronic kidney failure is a non-communicable disease caused by a decrease in the ability of the kidneys to carry out their functions. Hemodialysis therapy is a therapy given to sufferers of chronic kidney failure which functions to replace the work of the kidneys using a dialysis machine. Hemodialysis procedures performed on kidney failure patients are likely to cause depression because sufferers undergoing hemodialysis may experience feelings of discomfort or depression due to weakness in their physical condition and dependence on dialysis machines throughout their lives. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of reminiscence therapy in reducing depression in chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis at Imelda Pekerja Indonesia Hospital. This type of research is quantitative research, with the Quasy Experiment method, and with a pre-test and post-test group research design. This research was conducted in April – July 2024 in the Hemodialysis Room at Imelda Pekerja Indonesia Hospital, Medan. This research uses a non-probability sampling technique using a purposive sampling method, namely using inclusion criteria in determining the sample, so that the total research sample is 20 respondents. The instrument used in this research is a questionnaire that refers to the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II) to determine depression status. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis with the Wilcoxon test in the SPSS application. The results of the Wilcoxon statistical test showed a significant (p) value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), meaning that there was an effect of giving reminiscence therapy on depression status or in other words reminiscence therapy was effective in reducing depression in chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis at Imelda Pekerja Indonesia Hospital, Medan.

Carcinoma mammae is a malignant condition of breast tissue characterized by the uncontrolled proliferation of abnormal cells that form tumors, which may metastasize to other organs and become life-threatening if not properly treated. Cancer cells generally originate from the milk-producing lobules or the breast ducts. Mastectomy, as a primary therapeutic intervention, often leads to significant physical changes that can affect patients’ body image and self-confidence. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between body image and self-confidence among post-mastectomy carcinoma mammae patients. This research employed a quantitative approach with a survey design using questionnaires. The sample consisted of 51 respondents selected through a total sampling technique at Grandmed Hospital Lubuk Pakam. The frequency distribution results indicated that the majority of respondents had a positive body image perception, with 48 individuals (94.1%) agreeing and 3 individuals (5.9%) disagreeing. Meanwhile, the level of self-confidence among respondents was also relatively high, with 44 individuals (86.3%) agreeing and 7 individuals (13.7%) disagreeing. Statistical analysis using the chi-square test revealed a significant relationship between body image and self-confidence (p-value = 0.84; α < 0.05), indicating that the alternative hypothesis was accepted. These findings highlight the importance of effective body image management in enhancing patients’ self-confidence. Therefore, psychological interventions such as counseling, psychoeducation, and peer support are essential to facilitate patients’ adaptation and self-acceptance following mastectomy.

Fracture is a condition that causes continuous disruption to the bone or cartilage. Injuries occur in the bones, such as the upper and lower extremities, as well as the hip joints to the feet. Early mobilization is useful to help patients move faster and avoid complications. This activity includes changing positions, sitting, standing, and walking independently. Activity of Daily refers to a person's ability to carry out daily activities in order to meet their needs. A quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest approach without control was applied in this research. This design is useful for measuring the level of Activity of Daily before and after early mobilization. The sample was determined using purposive sampling so that a sample of 10 participants was obtained. The mean value increased from 6.10 to 11.60, meaning that there was a significant increase in Activity of Daily after early mobilization. The z value of 7.645 indicates a significant difference in the level of Activity of Daily before and after. The p value of 0.001 indicates that early mobilization can increase the level of Activity of Daily participants. It is expected that health workers can apply early mobilization therapy so that muscle stiffness does not occur.
