Abstract

Low back pain is one of the musculoskeletal disorders caused by repetitive movements and poor body activities. Almost 80% of the population has experienced low back pain in their life cycle. Low back pain is one of the most common complaints related to a job. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors associated with the incidence of low back pain in brick-making workers. This research method is a quantitative research using a cross sectional design. The population is 38 people with purposive sampling technique sampling. Bivariate analysis using Chi Square test. The results showed that from 38 workers there were 25 people who experienced low back pain. The results of the chi square test showed that there was a relationship between age and low back pain (p = 0.001) and there was a relationship between years of service and low back pain (p = 0.0001). It is recommended that workers always apply ergonomics principles in doing their work so as to reduce the level of risk of low back pain, for brick industry owners it is recommended to re-design work facilities and add mechanical aids to eliminate manual hazards, as well as suggestions for related agencies should make policies and supervision of problems in the informal sector, especially the brick industry.

Abstract

Urinary retention in women is most likely to occur in the post-caesarean section or after pelvic surgery. According to Stanton, urinary retention is the inability to urinate for 24 hours which requires catheter assistance, where the inability to pass urine is more than 25-50% of the bladder capacity. When urinary retention occurs, non-invasive methods are first attempted such as bladder training using Sitz bath hydrotherapy so that the urinary elimination function can occur spontaneously. If these efforts are unsuccessful, bladder training with catheterization is required by inserting a foley catheter in the bladder for 24 - 48 hours to keep the bladder empty and allow the bladder to regain its normal muscle tone to achieve spontaneous urination. Postoperative urinary retention is the patient's inability to urinate after surgery even though the patient's bladder is full, in most cases, postoperative urine retention does not last long, but in some cases postoperative urinary retention can be prolonged even for days after surgery. especially if properly identified and handled. Postoperative urinary retention can cause several complications such as urinary tract infections, bladder overdistention, detrusor damage and can lead to hydronephrosis and kidney damage which can lead to chronic kidney disease, especially in elderly patients.

Abstract

The most common musculoskeletal complaint encountered throughout human life is Low Back Pain (LBP) which causes very long inflammatory pain and causes functional limitations of myogenic LBP which can cause muscle spasms that can cause sufferers to feel pain. Muscle atrophy for a long time causes a decrease in muscle strength that can occur in patients with myogenic LBP. This study is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental approach using a pretest posttest one group design which aims to explain the effect of giving MWD and CSE on reducing pain in Myiogenic LBP in Physiotherapy Poly Hospital Rantauprapat. The population in this study were all LBP patients who visited Rantauprapat Hospital with a sample of 18 myogenic LBP patients who were drawn using purposive sampling based on predetermined criteria. Data were collected using primary and secondary data. The results showed that the average pain complaint before MWD and CSE was 5.90 and after MWD and CSE interventions were given, the average pain was 3.30. The pain felt by the patient after the intervention was initially average in the moderate pain category to mild pain. The results also showed that there was an effect of giving MWD and CSE on reducing myogenic LBP pain with p = 0.000. It is hoped that it can be used as material for policy making in improving health services, especially MWD and CSE physiotherapy services.

Abstract

Work accidents are unwanted and unexpected events. Based on the Loss Caution Model theory, the direct causes of accidents are unsafe action and unsafe conditions. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between personal factors and work supervision and unsafe action in welding workers at the Abun Las Workshop. This research type is quantitative with cross sectional research design. The population in this study were all welding workers, amounting to 34 people. The sampling technique was using the total sampling technique. The research instruments used in this study were questionnaires and observation sheets. The data obtained were processed by using the chi square statistical test with the degree of significance (α) = 0.05. The results of the analysis of the relationship between personal factors and work supervision with unsafe action on welding workers at the Las Abun Workshop are described as follows: personal factors (p value = 0.002) <α (0.05), this means that there is a significant relationship between personal factors (knowledge) and unsafe action on welding workers at the Las Abun Workshop, work supervision (p value = 0.038) <α (0.05), this means that there is a significant relationship between work supervision and unsafe action on welding workers at the Las Abun Workshop. The success and achievement of a company's goals is determined by the strategic role of its Human Resources (HR). Efforts are being made to achieve this, namely continuously optimizing the role of HR towards improving performance in supporting the sustainability of the organization/company. The hospital is a human resource-intensive organization due to the many professions involved in it. With many professions in the hospital, there are many problems that often arise which can ultimately hinder employee performance. One such problem is turnover. The purpose of this study is to explain the relationship between compensation and job insecurity with employee turnover intention at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital. Quantitative with a survey approach is the type of research used in this study. The research design used is cross-sectional. The population in this study were all employees at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital as many as 891 workers with a sample of 63 people who were taken using a purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the chi square test with a significance level of 5% (CI=95%). The results showed that there is a relationship between compensation and turnover intention (p value = 0.006) and there is no relationship between job insecurity (p value = 0.184). It is hoped that decision makers in each agency will pay more attention to the needs of employees so that employees feel comfortable in carrying out their work.
