Abstract

The use of technology and information in the Industry 4.0 era has been widely used to extract information from textual data patterns. The development of technology and the availability of big data from various platforms can provide valuable insights and facilitate better decision making. In this study, we aim to extract information and obtain the main topics of public sentiment on electric vehicle batteries. The data source is obtained from the results of comments or tweets on X social media. A total of 1,302 texts were processed using text mining techniques in the orange data mining application. This technique consists of several stages of text processing, namely transformation, filtering and tokenisation. The results of the text processing are extracted by word cloud to find the characteristics of words that are often discussed by the community. Next, sentiment analysis is performed to find out people's opinions about electric vehicle batteries based on positive, negative and neutral categories. Finally, topic modelling is performed using LDA to identify the topics discussed in each sentiment category. The results showed that public opinion was divided into three categories: 37% positive, 42% neutral and 21% negative. A frequently discussed topic in relation to electric vehicle batteries is the word feature nickel. Topic modelling produces five main topic categories that are frequently discussed by the public.

Abstract

The research aims to build a model based on sales data for all automotive products in Indonesia using data mining with a k-means approach. This study uses automotive product sales data from January 2017 to September 2022. The lowest Davis-Bouldin index shows that three clusters (k=3) have the best performance. Based on the clustering results, 92% of the items are in cluster 0, 1% in cluster 1, and 7% in cluster 2. In addition, the clustering results show that cluster 1 is a car product with high sales volume. Cluster 2 is a car product with medium sales volume. Furthermore, cluster 0 is a car product with low sales volume. Business people or related parties can use data visualization and extraction from clustering results to learn the latest insights and information in determining business strategies, policies, and decisions to improve business competitiveness.

Abstract

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to examine the factors influencing consumer purchase intention toward electric vehicle products in the Greater Jakarta Area (Jabodetabek).  Methodology – Through purposive sampling of motor vehicle users in the Jabodetabek area, a total of 1780 questionnaire responses were collected. Then the data were analysed using the Sequential Equation Modelling (SEM) method - PLS.Findings – Based on the analysis's results, lifestyle is the most influential factor affecting consumers' purchase intention of electric vehicles, compared to other factors studied. In contrast, environmental awareness does not significantly influence consumers’ intention to purchase electric vehicles.Originality/Novelty – This study offers a new perspective on how environmental awareness, government promotion, perceived price value, lifestyle, and perceived risk affect purchase intention toward electric vehicles in the Jabodetabek area. Consequently, it provides insights for developing more effective marketing strategies and public policies to reach potential consumers.Implications – Despite adequate infrastructure, along with supportive government policies and subsidies aimed at promoting the adoption of electric vehicles to reduce carbon emissions in the Jabodetabek area, environmental awareness alone does not significantly drive consumer interest. Instead, lifestyle emerges as the most influential factor in shaping consumer purchase intention. These findings suggest that stakeholders should consider lifestyle-oriented strategies to enhance the effectiveness of marketing policies and promote electric vehicle adoption as part of the border to reduce carbon emissions

Abstract

The oil palm is the most productive plantation product in Indonesia. Government strategies and policies related to oil palm plantations continue to be carried out considering that the plantation area is increasing every year. Segmentation of oil palm plantations based on area, production, and productivity aims to identify groups of potential oil palm plantations in the territory of Indonesia. This segmentation can provide consideration in formulating strategies and policies that will be made by the government. The segmentation method for grouping oil palm plantations uses the K-Means Clustering Data Mining technique with 3 clusters specified. Data mining stages start from data collection until representation is carried out, where 34 data sets are collected, only 25 data sets can be processed further. The results of this grouping obtained three plantation segments, namely 72% of the plantation group with low potential, 20% of the plantation group with medium potential, and 8% of the plantation group with high potential.
