Abstract

Currently one of the organic fertilizer started being used is organic fertilizer from rabbit feces. In Pesanggrahan Batu area, there are about 25 farmers in each farmer has about 50 rabbits and joinning to "Paguyupan Ternak Karya Bagus". The problem is there still no standard composition of optimal organic fertilizer made from rabbit feces, so it is necessary to do a research to evaluate the composition of the organic fertilizer made from rabbit feces to get the high content of nitrogen, phosphorus and Kalium. Some factors used in this research related to the raw material for organic fertilizer are rabbit feces, bran, husk and probiotics factor with 3 levels of each factor, so then we select  experiment with orthogonal array 34 and 9 variations. The chosen orthogonal array table must have a minimum number of raw which is not less than the total number of degrees of freedom- in this research the total degrees of freedom is 8. Then do experiment in laboratory to check nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and kalium (K) content in the soil chemistry laboratory UB faculty of agriculture. Based on data analysis we get the combination of the level of high N content is by using a composition of 3000 g rabbit feces, EM4 10 ml and the amount of chaff 200 gr. The combination of the level that has the effect of generating a high phosphorus content value is the amount of rabbit feces at the level of 3000 g, the amount of EM4 at the level of 20 ml and the amount of chaff at the level of 400 g and level combination that has the effect of generating a high kalium content value is the amount of rabbit feces on level of 3000 g, the amount of rice bran at a level of 200 g, the amount of chaff at the level of 400 grams and the amount of EM4 on the level of 20 ml.

Abstract

The interaction of user performance with three-dimensional (3D) objects has become an important issue in the recent development of virtual reality applications. Additionally, the basic conviction of current Virtual Reality (VR) supports the development of the viable interface between humans and machines. The research focuses on the user’s interaction technique by considering two approaches (direct and indirect interaction techniques) for the users while interacting with threedimensional objects. Numerous possible uses can benefit from virtual reality by considering a few fundamental visual and cognitive activities in the Virtual Environment (VE), such as the interpretation of space that users of clear and indirect perception are not well established. The experiment is performed in a stereoscopic environment using a reciprocal tapping task. Participants are expected to use direct pointing as well as indirect cursor techniques to select a stereoscopic spherical target. The results show that, in the sense of a direct interaction technique, user recognition of an object appears to converge in the center of a simulated area. Unfortunately, this convergence is not demonstrated in the indirect cursor situation. The pointing estimation from the users is more accurate when using the indirect interaction approach. The findings provide an understanding of the interaction characteristics done by the users in the stereoscopic environment. Importantly, developers of a virtual environment may use the result when developing effective user interface perception in specific interaction techniques.

Abstract

Time is one of the factors to assess a worker's performance in utilizing the available resources. Operator in his work requires efficient time to improve work productivity. One of factory in produce a shrimp feed in Surabaya has a large production level. In the production process, the packaging department in this company still uses human resources in their production process and the company define the standard of production without using standard time. This paper investigates the opportunity a logical analysis in determining the standard time in this company. The determination of the standard time in the packaging process requires comprehensive analysis. Objects observed are four operators in the packaging department that carried out the activities of filling bag the shrimp feed with 40 replication for each data. The work measurement was conducted by direct method using Stopwatch Time Study (STS) with snap-back method. The results of this study indicate the standard time value of the four lines packaging is not much different or almost the same. Sequentially the standard time workers line 1 to line 4 is 7.325 seconds, 7.240 seconds, 7.225 seconds, and 7.065 seconds. Allowance used for workers is 8%. However, the existing production rate of company is higher than the production rate of work measurement calculation. This is due to the difference of definition in employee allowance rate and performance rating.

Abstract

Abstract

The provision of Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) and its supporting facilities in Jakarta necessitates an analysis of their user-friendliness for passengers. These facilities include information on various locations such as toilets, mosques, MRT card counters, ticket vending machines (TVMs), and signage directing passengers to the MRT. TVMs are machines that enable passengers to purchase MRT tickets and top up their card balances. A crucial aspect of evaluating TVM performance is assessing their user-friendliness, which is determined by the ease with which passengers can understand and operate them. This study aims to analyze the user-friendliness of TVMs at MRT stations using the NASA TLX approach. NASA TLX evaluates the impact of using TVMs based on mental, physical, and temporal demands, as well as performance, effort, and frustration. Data were collected through accidental sampling of respondents aged 18–28 years. The NASA TLX questionnaire explored users' cognitive perceptions of the TVMs' displays and procedures. The results will reveal how the factors measured by NASA TLX influence the interaction between passengers and TVMs at MRT stations. The findings will provide recommendations for MRT managers to enhance TVM designs and modify display procedures to improve user satisfaction.
