Abstract

Pocket books are a form of printed learning media that look almost the same as booklets, only they are designed to be smaller and more practical so they can be carried anywhere. The aim of this research is to produce development media in the form of a Pocket Book whose feasibility is seen. The method used in this research is research and development, with a research design according to Borg and Gall. This research was conducted at MTs Al Madani Pontianak with the research subjects being 26 students in class VIII B. The data collection tools used were validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and posttests. The data analysis techniques used in research include validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that pocket books based on differentiated learning were suitable for use as learning media. With the pocket book validity level, the media validity criteria reached 85.64% with very valid criteria, and the material validity reached 86.06% with very valid criteria. The level of practicality of the pocket book is based on the results of the teacher response questionnaire and the results of the student response questionnaire. The results for the student response questionnaire were obtained with a percentage of 94.03%, the teacher response questionnaire with a percentage of 87% was in the very practical category. The level of effectiveness based on the hypothesis results can be concluded that the pocket book developed is effective

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the cognitive level of class XI IPS 1 student at SMA Negeri 1 Seberuang in solving linear programming problems in terms of personality type. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research. The form of research used is case study research. The subjects of this research were 27 students. Subjects are categorized based on each student's cognitive level. This research began by providing a personality type questionnaire, cognitive level tests, and interviews to categorize students' ability levels. After that, proceed with analyzing and categorizing based on personality type and cognitive level to determine the research subjects who will be interviewed by selecting 6 subjects consisting of 3 students with extroverted personalities whose cognitive levels are high, medium, and low and 3 students with introverted personalities whose cognitive levels are high, medium. and low. From the research results, it was concluded that students with introverted personalities had a higher cognitive level than students with extroverted personalities.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive research. This study aims to analyze students' errors in solving SPLDV problems based on the Newman procedure in terms of cognitive style. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Sandai with the research subjects being grade VIII students. Then two students were taken each based on the Field Dependent cognitive style and the Field Independent cognitive style to be interviewed. The data analysis technique used in this study is the description method. Some of the results of the analysis of student errors in the Newman procedure, obtained a percentage of errors in understanding the questions 76%, transformation 50%, process skills 23%, and writing the final answer 90%. Based on the overall results of the percentage of student errors, it was found that students with the Field Dependent cognitive style made more mistakes than Field Independent students with the overall percentage of the Newman procedure in terms of student cognitive style. 36% errors in understanding the questions, 23% transformation errors, 3% process skills, and 38% writing the final answer.

Abstract

This research aims to develop the application of FunMath to students' critical thinking skills in exponential material in class X. This research uses a type of development research. In this study, the ADDIE development model is used. The subjects of this product trial research are students and students of MAN 1 Pontianak Class X I. The stages in this study are analysis, design, evelopment, implementation, and evaluation. The data collection technique used in this study is in the form of a questionnaire to see the practicality of the application and a validation sheet to see the validity of the application. The instruments used in this study include, validation sheets for media experts and material experts, validation sheets for teacher and student response questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires and student response questionnaires, and tests for students' critical thinking skills. The data analysis techniques used in answering the sub-sub-problems in this study are validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in mathematical comprehension ability from the calculation results obtained tcal>ttable = 4.86 >2.07, thus Ho was rejected Ha was accepted, after the application of the FunMath application which can affect critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media in the form of a GeoGebra application-based math learning video to improve the understanding of the concepts of students in grade VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Belitang Hilir. This Research is a Development Research (R&D) using the ADDIE model which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects in the study consisted of material and media experts (as validators), as well as students and teachers (as product trial subjects). Data collection techniques were conducted through indirect communication, using instruments in the form of expert validation sheets, teacher response questionnaires, and student response questionnaires. The results of validation by material experts showed a validity level of 91.9% and by media experts of 93.84%, both of which were included in the very valid category. The teacher response questionnaire showed a practicality level of 97.64%, while the student response questionnaire was 90.13%, both included in the very practical category. In addition, the posttest results showed the effectiveness level of the learning media of 77.28% which was included in the effective category. Thus, the GeoGebra-based learning video media developed is considered valid, practical, and effective for use in learning mathematics.
