Abstract

Saat ini, semakin banyak penutur bahasa sering membingungkan penggunaan bahasa dalam lirik lagu (kode campuran). Lirik lagu adalah bentuk komunikasi antara penulis lagu dan pendengar yang tentunya mengandung beberapa komponen ucapan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan kode campuran dalam lirik lagu Aceh dan memeriksa komponen pidato yang terkandung dalam lirik lagu Aceh berdasarkan konteks SPEAKING dari Hymes. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan sosiolinguistik. Sumber data penelitian adalah lirik lagu PHP (permisi) yang terdapat dalam album Boh Hate-Bergek. Pengumpulan data menggunakan merujuk ke metode dengan teknik melihat atau observasi. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa jenis kode campuran yang terkandung dalam lirik lagu PHP (permisi) adalah jenis kode campuran yang berasal dari bahasa Aceh dan bahasa Indonesia lalu mencampur kode keluar yang bersumber dari bahasa Inggris. Seluruh komponen pidato ditemukan dalam lirik lagu PHP (permisi).

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul implementasi sekolah rujukan nasional di SMPN 3 Langsa. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui usaha- usaha yang dilakukan sekolah dalam menjalankan sekolah rujukan nasional. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini mengunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dimana peneliti akan mengamati fenomena yang berkaitan dengan usaha-usaha yang dilakukan sekolah dan guru untuk mencapai tujuan sekolah rujukan. Penelitian ini berlangsung 2 minggu, instrumen yang diambil dengan menggunakan wawancara dan observasi, yang digunakan untuk mengetahui pencapaian sekolah rujukan . dari hasil wawancara peneliti menemukan bahwa SMPN 3 Langsa memberikan perhatian khusus untuk mencapai tujuan dari sekolah rujukan yaitu memberikan wadah kepada siswa yang memiliki prestasi akademik dan non akademik untuk mengembangkan dan mengasah kemampuan mereka melalui guru pendamping dan bekerja sama antara instansi luar yang mendukung. Peneliti juga menemukan banyaknya prestasi akademik dan non akademikyang dicapai oleh sekolah dan sekolah juga menerapkan budaya literasi bahasa inggris yang dilakukan setiap 15 menit awal pelajaran, literasi ini dilakukan oleh setiap guru mata pelajaran yang masuk di kelas.

Abstract

This research deals with the effect of teaching by using Interactive Approach on the students' reading comprehension. The objective of the study is to investigate the effect of applying Interactive Approach on the students' reading comprehension. The sample of this study was 32 students. This research was conducted with an experimental research. The writer took 1 class of Grade X Students of Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Gp. Teungoh Kota Langsa as the sample and the class was divided into two treatments. The first treatment was the control group and the second treatment was the experimental group. The experimental group was taught by applying Interactive Approach, and the control group was taught by applying Conventional Approach. The instrument for collecting the data was objective test and essay test. To obtain the reliability of the test, the writer used Pearson Product Moment formula. The result of the study showed that the reliability of the test was 0.57. The data were analyzed by using t-test formula. The analysis showed that the scores of the students of the experimental group were significantly higher than the scores of the students in the control group at the level significance 0.05 with the degree of freedom (df) 60 at the level of significance 0.05, it was found out that tobserved value 4.725 > ttable value 3.460. Therefore, the hypothesis that Interactive Approach significantly affects the students' reading comprehension is accepted.

Abstract

Community Service is one of the Tridharma of Samudra University. The implementation of this service is in the form of outreach and training in making clothes perfume as a business opportunity for the people of Paya Bedi Village, Rantau District, Aceh Tamiang Regency in the form of training which is easy to learn and the price is easy to reach. These skills are very useful and will generate business opportunities for the community which can be sold at very profitable prices. The aim of this training is to teach housewives knowledge as additional income for the family. The method of community service training activities is the lecture and experimental method. The results obtained are an increase in the creativity of knowledge in housewives about making clothes perfume.

Abstract

Semantic misinterpretation often occurs when translating between English and Acehnese due to cultural and linguistic differences. Conventional dictionaries usually provide direct lexical equivalents without adequately clarifying core meanings. Natural Semantic Metalanguage (NSM) offers semantic primitives, universal concepts shared across languages, that can serve as a basis for developing more accurate and culturally sensitive resources. This study applies NSM theory in the development of an English–Acehnese E-Thesaurus of semantic primitives, aiming to minimize misinterpretation and strengthen cross-cultural understanding. Using a qualitative design, semantic primitives were identified in English and matched with Acehnese equivalents through linguistic elicitation, textual analysis, and expert consultation. The results were organized into an E-Thesaurus prototype with a user-friendly digital interface to facilitate bilingual access. Findings show that NSM-based explications provide clearer representations of universal meanings while accommodating cultural nuances in both languages. The prototype demonstrates its potential as a tool for reducing ambiguity, enhancing bilingual learning, and promoting cultural literacy. Preliminary user feedback indicates that it improves comprehension of abstract concepts and minimizes translation errors. In conclusion, integrating NSM theory in the English–Acehnese E-Thesaurus offers an effective model to address semantic misinterpretation. Beyond bilingual education, this innovation contributes to cultural preservation and the promotion of cross-cultural communication.

Abstract

Although national songs serve as powerful cultural and social tools, limited research in Indonesia has examined how their linguistic features construct interpersonal meaning within Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) and pedagogical discourse. This study investigates the interpersonal metafunction in Indonesian national songs and explores its pedagogical implications. Employing a qualitative discourse-analytic design, the study analyzes clauses as the unit of analysis from seven widely recognized Indonesian national songs. Drawing on Halliday’s interpersonal metafunction and Martin & White’s appraisal theory, the analysis systematically codes pronoun systems, mood types, modality markers, and attitudinal lexis. Analytical reliability was supported through iterative coding and cross-text comparison to ensure consistency of interpretation. The findings indicate that inclusive pronouns (kita, kami), persuasive declarative and imperative moods, and high-value evaluative lexis (e.g., merdeka, jaya) work together to construct solidarity, authority, and emotional alignment. These patterned linguistic resources position national songs as implicit pedagogical discourse that models civic identity and collective responsibility. The study demonstrates how culturally embedded texts can be strategically integrated into language pedagogy to support socio-emotional learning, cultural literacy, and civic value formation.
