Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah diharapkan mahasiswa di Universitas Negeri Medan (UNIMED) khususnya pasca sarjana pada program Pendidian Dasar lebih dekat dengan alam dan dapat mengidentifikasi berbagai komponen biotik dan abiotik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi dengan membuat areal pengamatan (plot) dengan luas 10m x 10m. Dengan mengimplementasikan jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Dari hasil pengidentifikasian komponen biotik dan abiotik di areal terbuka hijau Universitas Negeri Medan (UNIMED) ditemukan jenis hewan yang teridentifikasi dalam areal pengamatan yang telah dibuat terdiri dari berbagai jenis serangga tanah, cacing tanah, ngengat, kodok, bekicot dan laba-laba. Namun, dalam areal pengamatan didominasi oleh jenis serangga tanah yang terdiri dari 10 spesies seperti semut merah, semut hitam, semut rangrang (ordo Hymenoptera), belalang daun, belalang ranting dan jangkrik (ordo orthoptera), kumbang daun (ordo coleoptera), lalat (ordo diptera), ngengat dan kupu-kupu (ordo lepidoptera) serta nyamuk (ordo hemiptera). Sedangkan jenis tumbuhan yang mendominasi areal pengamatan terdiri graminae, thallophyta, bryophyta, tumbuhan epifit, pteridophyta, pohon saga, pohon mahoni dan daun Mangkok. Namun, dalam areal pengamatan didominasi oleh 4 jenis tumbuhan pteridophyta (paku-pakuan).

Abstract

Makanan merupakan kebutuhan dasar manusia untuk keberlangsungan hidup dan sebagai sumber energi untuk menjalankan aktifitas fisik maupun biologis dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Labu kuning dan ubi rambat diolah menjadi tepung, karena memiliki kandungan air yang rendah serta dapat digunakan dalam berbagai pembuatan produk makanan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui uji organoleptik dan kandungan nutrisi pada mie kuning berbahan dasar labu tanah (Curcubita Moschata) dan berbahan dasar ubi rambat (Ipomea Batatas). Metode penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen. Hasil uji organoleptik mie kuning dengan campuran labu tanah dari 150 pertanyaan bahwa sebanyak 40% mengatakan sangat suka. Untuk mie kuning dengan campuran ubi rambat sebanyak 46,6% mengatakan sangat suka. Hasil uji kadar nutrisi ditemukan kandungan lemak tertinggi terdapat pada campuran labu dan tepung (50%: 50%) yaitu sebanyak 2,02% dan terendah terdapat pada campuran tepung dan ubi rambat (60%: 40%) yaitu sebanyak 0,61%. Sedangkan kadar karbohidrat tertinggi ditemukan pada campuran ubi rambat dan tepung (50% : 50%) yaitu 32,16% dan terendah terdapat pada campuran tepung 60% dan 40% ubi rambat yaitu 22,95%.

Abstract

Bivalves are a class of Phylum molluscs which charaterized by soft, nonsegmented body and protected by a pair of shells. These animals are widespread in coastal areas, especially in mangrove ecosystems. Bivalves are suitable to be  used as indicators of aquatic biology because their lives are relatively sedentary and has the ability to respond to water conditions. The purpose of this study was to determine the distribution pattern of Bivalves in the coastal area of Langsa City based on the characteristics of their habitat. Sampling was carried out in March 2021. The method used in this study was the survey method. Determination of the sampling location using the Proposive Sampling method, so that 2 research locations were selected. The collected data was analyzed using the morissita index and dominance index formulas. The results showed that the distribution pattern of Bivalvia in the coastal area of Langsa City was generally classified as a clustered pattern category where the index value of Id>1. The habitat characteristics of the four Bivalvia species are almost the same, namely the texture of the sandy muddy substrate, but different habitat  are found for Anadara granosa, namely the sandy muddy texture with the preference of high salinity.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to describe the lesson study learning process. The application of lesson study is in the form of a cycle of planning, implementation, and reflection. This research method is research in the form of class action (action research) which consists of two cycles. Data retrieval is done by observation sheet to the model teacher in carrying out biology learning activities, interviews and questionnaires. Furthermore, the data analysis technique in the complete study uses three simultaneous activities, namely; (1) data reduction; (2) data presentation and (3) inference and verification of data. The results of this study consisted of two cycles: (1) Cycle I of the application of lesson study learning stages was categorized good with a value of 81.66%; (2) Cycle II is the advanced stage of the results of weaknesses and shortcomings in the first cycle, at this stage the lesson study learning application is categorized good with a value of 89.58%. Then it can be concluded that the lesson study learning application can improve teacher professional competence, and make the learning atmosphere active and creative, so students are enthusiastic to learn.

Abstract

Basic Biology subjects are integrated between theory and practicum. Practical learning is an essential way that teachers can take to improve students' science process skills, so a valid instrument is needed to measure it. The objective of this study is to produce a valid performance assessment instrument in practical learning; a student worksheet in practical learning; the improvement of science process skills; and teacher response. The type of research is referring to model of 4-D. The subject of research is composed of the students in the odd semester academic year 2021-2022 at SMA Muhammadiyah Langsa. Instruments of research consist of validation sheet, student worksheet, observation sheet, questionnaire. The findings show validity score is 84% (good category); student worksheet in practical learning is 43% (very good category); there is the improvement of students science process skills before and after the practical learning, which shows by N-gain value of 0.64% (high category); and teacher response to developed performance assessment instrument is 83% (very practical category).

Abstract

Mollusca is a soft-bodied fauna that is widespread in various habitats including sand, mud and coral substrates. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of Mollusca based on habitat characteristics at Sujono Beach, Batu Bara Regency, North Sumatra. This research was conducted at Sujono Beach, Batu Bara Regency, North Sumatra. Sampling was conducted in February 2021. Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling method based on Mollusca habitat. The results showed that the diversity of Mollusca was in the medium category with a value of H '= 1.0048. The most preferred habitat for Mollusca is on sandy substrates, while the habitat that Mollusca does not like is coral substrate.

Abstract

The Auntentik Assessment Instrument is part of the achievement indicator in obtaining information to measure aspects of student knowledge in the learning process. The measurement process carried out for students in the assessment instrument both individually and in groups consists of three affective, psychomotor and cognitive aspects. Ethnobiological studies are part of the understanding of people's culture regarding the knowledge of plants. Science process skills activities are the implementation of an action carried out by students in practicum learning. The basis of the research objectives is to develop an assessment instrument on a high-level botanical practicum learning tool in measuring students' science process skills and measuring feasibility tests and limited tests of assessment instruments in the implementation of science process skills practicum learning activities. The implementation of the method in the research is a development method. The results of this study consist of three aspects of assessment from expert validation, namely aspects of content validity, presentation aspects and language aspects are declared feasible. Meanwhile, the student's response to the assessment instrument was stated to be good to use as a measuring tool in the assessment of students to carry out a high-level botanical practicum.

Abstract

Community Service is one of the Tridharma of Samudra University. The implementation of this service is in the form of outreach and training in making clothes perfume as a business opportunity for the people of Paya Bedi Village, Rantau District, Aceh Tamiang Regency in the form of training which is easy to learn and the price is easy to reach. These skills are very useful and will generate business opportunities for the community which can be sold at very profitable prices. The aim of this training is to teach housewives knowledge as additional income for the family. The method of community service training activities is the lecture and experimental method. The results obtained are an increase in the creativity of knowledge in housewives about making clothes perfume.

Abstract

Hutan mangrove memiliki peran dalam mempertahankan fungsi ekologis dan penyangga kestabilan ekosistem daerah pesisir. Aktivitas kegiatan masyarakat dipesisir perairan seperti pelabuhan, jalur transportasi, pemukiman dan pariwisata memberikan dampak terhadap sumbangan jenis-jenis polutan yang masuk kedalam perairan. Jenis tumbuhan mangrove secara alami berpotensi dapat meminimalisir adanya serapan logam berat seperti jenis Buguiera gymnorriza dan Rhizophora apiculata. Penelitian ini dilakukan bulan Mei sampai dengan Juni 2018. Lokasi penelitian di pesisir hutan mangrove Kuala Langsa, Aceh. Metode penelitian ini deskriptif eksploratif dengan mendeskripsikan satuan serapan logam berat Pb, Cu dan Zn pada jenis tumbuhan mangrove dan Fitoremidiasi jenis tumbuhan mangrove. Analisis data dengan Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (ASS) dan Fitoremidiasi (FTD), berdasarkan sampel bagian akar, daun  dan sedimen. Hasil penelitian serapan logam pada jenis Buguiera gymnorriza pada akar, daun dan sedimen secara berurutan pada Zn (seng) 5,833 ppm; 0,598 ppm; 6,775 ppm. Cu (tembaga) 0,0008 ppm. Pb (timbal) 0,0001 ppm.  serapan logam pada jenis Rhizophora apiculata pada akar, daun dan sedimen secara berurutan pada Zn (seng) 8,36 ppm 2,936; ppm; 32,987 ppm. Cu (tembaga) 0,0008 ppm. Pb (timbal) 0,0001 ppm. Fitoremidiasi (FTD) Tumbuhan Mangrove jenis Buguiera gymnorriza pada Akar 5,273 dan Daun 0,073. Fitoremidiasi pada mangerove Rhizophora apiculata pada Akar 0,16 dan Daun -0,26. Jenis Buguiera gymnorriza lebih berpotensi sebagai biofitoremidiasi alami dibanding jenis Rhizophora apiculata dalam penyerapan logam Zn. Kata Kunci:  Serapan Logam, Fitoremidiasi, Tumbuhan Mangrove

Abstract

Learning media has a very close relationship with the independent curriculum. As a curriculum that gives students the freedom to choose and determine the direction of their learning, an independent curriculum requires appropriate learning media to support and facilitate this freedom. The learning media used in this service activity is virtual laboratory media as a learning media that can be a solution to the problem of learning loss. The aim of this service activity process is to provide an explanation that is presented by presenting material about the importance of technology in learning, introducing examples of technology that can be used in the virtual practicum learning process. To carry out training in creating practical learning media based on simulation and animation media in accordance with the materials contained in science subjects which can be used in online science practicum learning. Carrying out training on creating a YouTube channel to uploading materials and getting YouTube links for materials that have been uploaded on the channel to sharing YouTube links with science teachers through online learning applications used such as Google Classroom. The method used in service activities is the service learning method with 4 activity stages, namely the Investigation Stage, Preparation Stage, Action Stage and Reflection Stage. The results of community service activities at SMA Muhammadiyah Langsa which were given to teachers and students had a positive impact on the use of virtual laboratory media applications to support the Merdeka curriculum
