Abstract

Users of Arabic and religious learning program applications are surprised by the phenomenon among students and teachers of Arabic and religious languages in which most of them have never practiced and used The Qur'anic Arabic Corpus (QAC) applications for academic activities. Meanwhile, the program has many benefits and conveniences for students, teachers, and researchers for conducting research and study activities in the field of language and religion and science integration. The number of open-source of IT-based information that can be used for Arabic language learning activities and studies of religious and scientific integration is increasing significantly. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the understanding and use of The QAC program in teaching and learning Arabic and the integration of religious sciences in schools and colleges of Islamic religion. This study uses Krippendorf perspective qualitative design in the study of al-Qur'an integration and linguistic education. The research method used is the study of linguistic corpus with annotations, abstractions, and analysis through three stages of corpus exploration, experimentation, and knowledge discovery. Through data analysis, it is found that the Arabic and religious learning model using The QAC can improve language creativity and improvisation and improve the process of reciting, memorizing and vocabulary building, making it easier for students to study the integration of Qur'an, language, religion, and science. This paper recommends that Arabic and religious learning activities utilize IT-based learning program applications such as the QAC

Abstract

Extremism, radicalism, hate speech, and even the rupture of inter-religious ties, are problems facing the Indonesian nation today. Al-Hikam as one of the boarding schools able to survive in those problems, by encouraging religious moderation. This study aims to explore the process of internalizing the value of religious moderation in Al-Hikam Islamic boarding schools and analyze the realization of transformative competencies in the process. An instrumental case study design was chosen for this research. Observation and in-depth interviews were conducted to obtain data. The results showed that there were 3 models of value transformation, verbal, symbolic, and written. The methods of imparting values are carried out in two ways, namely providing standardized sources of accurate information and structured practices through pesantren programs and activities. The internalization process is formed through joint service activities involving various elements of the moderation agency. This study arrived at the theoretical finding that maximizing the function of co-agency in pesantren consisting of the Kyai board, teachers, peer colleagues, and santri guardians at the transaction stage, is effectively facilitates the internalization of values by the agents (santri) of religious moderation obtained at the transformation stage into an inherent identity, namely moderate humans. This achieved identity also brings students to achieve transformative competencies: creating new values, reconciling tensions and dilemmas, and taking responsibility.

Abstract

This research aims to measure the effectiveness of using TGT (Teams-Games-Tournaments) and S&T (Show and Tell) methods in improving students' mastery of Arabic vocabulary at Madrasah Tsanawiyyah Negeri (MTsN) 1 in Kota Batu, Malang, East Java. This research utilizes a quantitative methodology employing a quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test control group design. The collected data undergo analysis through descriptive statistical tests, assessments for normality using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, and independent sample t-test. Compared to the control group, the results show a significant improvement in Arabic vocabulary mastery among students involved in the experimental group receiving TGT and S&T treatments. These findings highlight the potential of a collaborative approach between TGT and S&T methods in creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment, enhancing students' comprehension through group interaction and competitive activities. Additionally, literature supports the effectiveness of TGT and S&T methods in improving learning outcomes and student motivation. Thus, this research makes a significant contribution to enriching understanding of the use of innovative teaching approaches in language learning contexts, as well as providing a solid foundation for more effective pedagogical approaches in the future.

The approach used is a qualitative approach with a case study type. Determination of informants using purposive techniques. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis using the Miles, Huberman and Saldana models, namely data condensation, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of the study show that the Arabic language environment consists of a formal Environment containing classroom learning, Mhārh al-qirāʼah, mhārh al-kitābah, al-Istimāʻ wa-al-kalām, Informal Environment containing language activities outside the classroom; ilqāʼ al-mufradāt, al-muḥādathah, al-tawʻiyah al-dīnīyah, al-khaṭṭ al-ʻarabī, muhadlarah, and maḥkamat al-lughah. The formal environment of language input in the form of structured teacher utterances originates from dialogue and language exercises, patterned language interactions between individual teachers and groups of students and interactions between groups of teachers and groups of students, while the language output is in the form of structured student utterances according to Arabic language structure patterns. While the informal environment of language input in unstructured teacher utterances originates from natural language, the language interaction in it is patterned, the interaction between individual teachers and individual students or vice versa, while the language output is in the form of student utterances obtained naturally.
