Abstract

Students who are still teenagers are a transitional period from children to adults, where in this phase they are adolescents with very high egos and can affect how they see the world. But this is also a concern in itself, where some of them are too closed themselves and lack self-confidence. Because they are too afraid and anxious about how others think of them, they are reluctant to show themselves. Various literature and research shows that going through pranayama can psychologically affect and calm one's anxiety. The purpose of this journal is to describe pranayama in increasing self-confidence. The method used is a literature study by entering the keywords youth, self-confidence and Pranayama at google.scholar.com. In this journal, it is explained that pranayama can increase students' self-confidence in their teens. The purpose of pranayama is to relax the mind so that it can get rid of anxiety. Of course this will help students increase their self-confidence.

Abstract

Yoga sebagai jalan hidup dapat mengantarkan seseorang untuk kembali pada hakikat dirinya yang sejati, yakni hakikat diri sebagai bagian dalam kehidupan semesta. Mengetahui dan memahami tri wisesa yoga merupakan tujuan penelitian ini. Pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumen. Berdasarkan analisis data yang dilakukan, diperoleh kesimpulan yaitu Satyam (kebenaran), Sivam (kesucian) dan Sundaram (keindahan) di dalam ajaran yoga adalah tiga aspek yoga yang dipergunakan sebagai dasar konsep filsafat, seni, kesehatan dan realisasi diri dalam mempelajari, menginterpretasikan dan mempraktikkan yoga secara benar. Aspek Satyam (kebenaran) yoga adalah unsur intelektual dan moralitas dalam yoga memiliki keyakinan terhadap Iswara sebagai realitas tertinggi yang didukung oleh berbagai kitab Hindu, seperti: Vedanta, Bhagavad Gita, Siva Samhita, Gheranda Samhita, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Yoga Vasista, Goraksasatakam, Sutra Patanjali dan lainnya. Kedua adalah konsep Sivam, adalah dengan praktik yoga dapat memberikan kesucian, kebajikan, keuntungan dan kebaikan bagi tubuh seseorang yang mempraktikkannya, baik bagi tubuh fisik, psikis maupun spritual. Ketiga, adalah Sundaram, mengandung konsep bahwa yoga yang dipraktikkan memiliki nilai keindahan sebagai simbol kesatuan, keseimbangan dan kejelasan praktik. Berbagai pose yoga asanas yang dilakukan adalah wujud dari bentuk bhakti dalam meningkatkan kompetensi dan realisasi diri.

Abstract

Life Satisfaction can be felt by everyone, including a woman in assistance as a housewife. The role of a woman in life is very complex. In increasing life satisfaction, women in the role of housewives can carry out various activities that can support improving the quality of life as currently being discussed, namely the practice of meditation. One of the places to practice yoga and meditation in Bali, namely Wisuda Yoga, Klungkung Regency, has a healing process that is focused on medical practices that lead to the healing process in order to achieve life satisfaction.This study aims to determine the stages of the practice of forgiveness and its effect on the life satisfaction of housewives at Wisuda Yoga, Klungkung Regency. This research lasted for one month. This type of research is a quantitative study, using a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-post-test design. The total population is 30 people. The sample in this study collected 28 respondents aged 24 to 44 years, this number of samples used the formulation of Isaac and Michael with an error rate of 5%. The statistical test results in this study were 0.000 which proved that there was a justifiable effect on the life satisfaction of housewives at Wisuda Yoga, Klungkung Regency. The results of the effective test also provide reinforcement regarding the results of this study because the effect size obtained is 0.88, which indicates that the practice of agreeing provides great effectiveness for increasing life satisfaction for housewives at Wisuda Yoga Klungkung Regency.

Abstract

Scoliosis is a musculoskeletal disorder that is described by the bending of the spine. Scoliosis also began to be realized in adolescence during the physical and psychological growth period. Choosing the right alternative for dealing with scoliosis is a very important thing, before the degree of spinal curvature getting bigger. One of alternative to deal with scoliosis that is now in demand by the community is by doing special yoga exercises therapy for scoliosis patients at Udana Yoga Bali. In this study, there were several problem formulations, including: (1) Does the practice of yoga asana affect scoliosis patients in Udana Yoga? (2) What is the effect of Yoga Asana at Udana Yoga in decreasing the degree of scoliosis? (3) What is the structure of Yoga Asana practice for scoliosis patients in adolescents at Udana Yoga? To solve the problem formulation, researchers used the Wilcoxon computation technique through SPSS. The aim of this research is to prove scientifically that Yoga Asana practice can have an effect in reducing the degree of scoliosis. This research used quantitative methods with purposive sampling technique in determine the sample data. The results of the statistical test output in this study showed value 0.001 which proved that yoga asanas had an effect on decreasing the degree of scoliosis in adolescents. While the results of testing the effect size were 0.882, which indirectly also provide the conclusion that yoga asanas have high effectiveness toward the decrease of the degree in scoliosis.

Abstract

The Siva Samhita or collection of Siva's teachings is a yoga text that describes the teachings of yoga in a complete and in-depth manner. One of the components of yoga described in the text is the ethical teachings that must be carried out by yoga practitioners who want to achieve success in yoga. This study provides theoretical support and enriches the body of knowledge about yoga ethics. This research is classified as a qualitative research with Siva Samhita as the object of study. The data were analyzed by the following steps: data reduction, data classification, data display, interpretation and conclusion. The results of this study include: 1) When carrying out dhyana yoga (meditation) you should always pray homage to Guru and Lord Ganesha as opening the way to success. 2) All kinds of food and actions that do not support progress in yoga are to be avoided. Vice versa, all kinds of food and actions that support the progress of yoga should be done with full discipline and without attachment. 3) Enjoyment (bhoga) engendered by the five senses should be avoided as they only serve as a hindrance to progress in yoga.
