Abstract

Generally, in most traditions every birth and death will be made a ritual. The implementation of these rituals will usually be adapted to the local culture. Thus in the implementation order will vary, but the substance is the same. In the tradition of the Hindu community in Bali, if there are people who died will be made Ngaben ceremony, as a form of respectful and responsibility. In the implementation of this Ngaben ceremony will always be guided by the sacred books and will be adapted to the local tradition. One of the sacred books guided in Ngaben’s ceremony is Lontar Siva Tattwa Purana. In this Lontar explained that Ngaben ceremony is an obligation of his descendants as one of the payment of Rna (debt) to his ancestors. In practice it, must be adjusted to the level of ability of his or her generation for all harmony. Further , will be explained the procedure of Ngaben ceremony in this Lontar  start from the beginning to the end.

Abstract

In the view of Hinduism, women have a glorious position that is worthy of respect and domicile almost equal to men. The difference between men and women lies in guna (skill) and karma (deeds). The obligations of women in Hindu families and society are as mothers, childbearing, hereditary, husband-lovers and can free the ancestors from their misery. A woman is entitled to a decent life in Hindu families and society and gained recognition of her existence so that her standing parallels men in both law and government.

Abstract

Lack of student interest in learning causes problems in the learning process. In dealing with this problem Sumerta 5 State Elementary School Denpasar applied traditional mapoh-pohan as a method of simulation of Hindu learning for class IV. The results showed (1) the form of traditional game mapoh-pohan as a learning method similar to the game of dragon snake but different in terms, language and song used (2) This method has several functions, namely: 1) educational function: increase participation, interest and achievement student learning, 2) social functions: improving students' social skills and teacher and student interpersonal relationships, 3) cultural preservation and 4) recreational media. (3) The values ​​contained in this method are: the formation of character (sportsmanship, honesty, independence, fieldwork, discipline and togetherness). Besides that, it also contained the values ​​of Hinduism, namely the cultivation of the teachings of chess paramita, and the teachings of satya.

Abstract

Gajah Mada was a very legendary leader in the era of the Majapahit kingdom because he had succeeded in uniting the entire archipelago, even covering a wider area than the Republic of Indonesia. Gajah Mada is known as a man who is very religious, believes and obeys God, has a great sense of affection for fellow creatures, has great respect and love for the homeland of the archipelago and always puts the interests of the state, nation and people above personal and group interests until Majapahit reached the peak of glory. Based on this, it is necessary to conduct a study to explore the role model of Gajah Mada. There are also issues that will be discussed, among others (1) What is Gajah Mada's example in Hindu leadership? (2) What is the relevance of Gajah Mada's leadership role with Hindu religious education?. The aims of this study are (1) to find out the exemplary pattern of Gajah Mada in Hindu leadership. (2) To describe the relevance of Gajah Mada's leadership role with Hindu religious education. Theories used in this study include: Leadership Theory from Gordon Allport and Hans Eynsenck, Behaviorism Theory from Burrhus Frederic Skinner. While the data collection techniques used are: Document Study, Literature Study and Interview. Furthermore, the data that has been collected was analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method with the steps of Data Reduction, Data Classification and Data Display. The results of this study show (1) Gajah Mada's exemplary pattern in Hindu leadership includes (a) Intellectual Intelligence which includes Wisdom (Wijna), Good at Speaking (Wagmi Wakpatu), Good at Managing Strategy (Wicaksaneng Naya). (b) Emotional Intelligence which includes Courage (Mantriwira), Gaining Trust (Matanggwan), Faithful (Satya Bhakti Prabhu), Humble (Sarjjawopasama), Hard Work (Dhirotsaha), Firm (Sumantri), Submissive Enemy (Anayaken Enemy). (c) Spiritual Intelligence which includes Loving All Creatures and the Universe (Sih Samastabhuwana), True Faith (Tan Lalana). (2) The relevance of Gajah Mada's leadership role with Hindu religious education includes (a) Asta Brata's teachings which include Surya Brata, Candra Brata, Bayu Brata, Kuwera Brata, Baruna Brata, Agni Brata, Yama Brata, Indra Brata. (b) The teachings of Tri Hita Karana which include pahyangan, pawongan, palemahan. (c) Teacher's Chess teachings which include devotion to self-help teachers, devotion to visual teachers, devotion to recitation teachers, and devotion to wisesa teachers.

Abstract

Religion is a stick for guiding people who are blind to the moral values and religious norms that go on in society. Sekaa Teruna is one of the traditional organizations in Bali today. This organization serves as a forum for developing adolescent creativity. In addition, this organization is also expected to be a place to preserve local culture and traditions. However, in the modern era that tends to lead to the development of science and technology, society, especially the younger generation, develops to negative things. The meaning of religion in the view of the younger generation today is still considered as a supplement that is needed at any time. There are five forms religiosity of sekaa teruna that is ngayah in the framework of piodalan, ngayah mereresik, prayers purnama and tilem, tirta yatra, otonan ceremony, and cultural arts activites.

Abstract

Research on the Magayot Tradition in the Ngenteg Linggih Ceremonyat Pura Dalem Mawospahit Banjar Tibubeneng, North Kuta, Badung Regency is a tradition that is included in the ceremonyof Dewa Yadnya. Pamedek gratitude realized with the magayot tradition as a form of expression of gratitude for a big ceremony was held. This is very interesting to study because there are a shift in meaning, whichis a form of bargaining with God. Study This is carried out to answer the following problems: (1) How is the traditional process? Magayot in the Ngenteg Linggih Ceremony at the Dalem Mawospahit Temple Banjar Tibubeneng, North Kuta, Badung Regency? (2) What is the function of the Magayot Tradition in the Ngenteg Linggih Ceremony att he Dalem Mawospahit Temple Banjar Tibubeneng Kuta Northof Badung Regency? (3) What is the value of Hindu religious education contained in the Magayot Tradition in the Ngenteg Linggih Ceremony at Pura Dalem Mawospahit Banjar Tibubeneng, North Kuta, Badung Regency?. The theory that used to solve research problems is constructivism theory, theory functional, valuetheory. The resultsofthis study, the processor ritual of the Magayot Tradition in the Ceremony Ngenteg Linggih at Dalem Mawospahit tample Banjar Tibubeneng North Kuta Badung Regency is a Dewa Yadnya ceremony which is carried out on the the holding of the Ngenteg Linggih ceremony. Functions of the Magayot Tradition in Ceremonies Ngenteg Linggih at Dalem Mawospahit tample Banjar Tibubeneng North Kuta Badung Regency is a visualization of God's presence and attitude formation live. The educational value contained in the Magayot Tradition in the Ceremony Ngenteg Linggih at Dalem Mawospahit tample Banjar Tibubeneng North Kuta Badung Regency, namely ethical values, event values, magical religious values, moral values friendship, lifevalue, spiritual mental value.

Abstract

The current government is incessant to deal with juvenile delinquency such as promiscuity, drugs, brawl, violence and sexual harassment that have an impact on the world of education. Along with the many problems that occur then these problems must be solved in order to achieve optimal educational goals, therefore the Government and the people of Indonesia are currently intensively implementing character education in educational institutions. At school, character education has been implemented in a way both formal and non-formal education that aims to strengthen the morale of students and shape the character of students that reflects the 18 values of the nation's character. In non-formal education, character education can be integrated through extracurricular activities. Scout education acts as a complement and supplement to formal education to add insight and improve the character of students. In SMA Negeri 1 Kediri Tabanan, non-formal educational activities or conducted outside of face-to-face lessons, one of them is scout extracurricular activities carried out by all class X (ten), both natural science majors and social science majors. In Boy Scout extracurricular activities at SMA Negeri 1 Kediri Tabanan has several activities that train physically and mentally that contribute to overcoming problems of juvenile delinquency such as camping activities, widegame activities, inauguration of scout levels and routine training in the classroom and outside the classroom. The results obtained indicate that: The implementation of Boy Scout extracurricular in Tabanan Kediri 1 High School is influenced by 2 factors namely, external factors and internal factors These two factors are the basis for Scout extracurricular activities carried out as the application of student character formation in SMA Negeri 1 Kediri Tabanan. Scout Extracurricular at SMA Negeri 1 Kediri Tabanan has carried out various innovations in its role to shape student character through innovative activity programs such as Scout Routine Training Activities in shaping responsibility characters, Scout Camp Activities in shaping independent character, Widegame Activity in shaping environmental care characters . Behind all these activities are the values of character education in the form of religious values, disciplined values, tolerance values, creative values, independent values, values of patriotism, values of social care, values of environmental care, values of achievement and responsibility.
