Abstract

Indonesia is intensively developing various infrastructure such as buildings, mosques, roads, bridges, dams and much more. Detailed planning is needed so that construction runs smoothly and results are maximum, including planning the budget (RAB). One method that can help identify significant costs in construction projects is the Cost Significant Model Method. The Cost Significant Model method is a cost analysis method that can be used to identify significant costs in construction projects. This method uses multiple linear regression analysis. In Indonesia, building district roads is a priority to improve connectivity and community welfare. Applying the Cost Significant Model in the Garut district road project is very important for efficient cost management. The aim of this research is to identify significant cost factors in district road projects and analyze the effect of implementing the Cost Significant Model on project cost management in the region. The research results show that the cost significant model provides accurate cost predictions with a coefficient of determination of 0.943, indicating a significant influence of variables on project costs. The variables Asphalt pavement division (X4) and structure division (X5) have a significant influence on project costs, so they can be prioritized to manage risks and reduce the impact of unexpected costs. The conceptual cost estimation model from this research is Y = -339907740.45 + 380172.81 (X4) + 117874.24 (X5). Testing the validity of this model shows that the cost estimation using this model is more accurate than using the average price per square meter times the building area. The Cost Significant Model method is an effective tool for managing road project costs in Garut Regency. This can help project managers predict costs more accurately and identify factors causing cost increases.

Abstract

Construction Management can be in the form of a business entity in which human resources are needed who are experts in their respective fields which include POAC (Planning/Planning, Organizing/Organizing, Actuating/Implementing, and Controlling/Supervision). The Garut District Health Office Development Project was built to improve the quality of the office and improve the quality of public services. In the implementation of a project, of course it cannot be avoided from various problems that slowly arise. This is a serious challenge, how will the construction management itself try to solve various problems that occur so that it can proceed according to the initial plan. This study aims to find out what factors influence the performance of construction management in and to find out the actions taken to overcome the problems that occur so that the implementation of construction management can run well. The method used in this research is ranking analysis method. This study involved consultants and contractors to fill out a questionnaire. There are 30 respondents in this study. The results of this study are that the factors that influence the construction management work system are mostly in the supervision or controlling process, which obtains an average value of 3.56. To control the factors that affect the construction management work system in the control process, you can analyze the constraints that occur in the field and then catch up on delays in progress that occur quickly and precisely.

Abstract

Concrete is a widely used material and is the main element in buildings. Along with the increase in infrastructure development, the use of cardboard is also increasing in the industrial or community sector. However, with the increase in the use of cardboard, cardboard waste increases. This study examines the use of cardboard pulp as an additive. Cardboard pulp has oxide compounds such as silica. The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of the compressive and tensile split strength values of concrete for 28 days by adding cardboard waste with a mixture variation of 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15% by weight of fine aggregate. The research was conducted using experimental methods in the laboratory. Concrete mix planning in this study refers to SNI 7656, 2012, testing the compressive and split tensile strength of concrete using a CTM (Compression Testing Machine) tool. Based on the results of testing the compressive strength and split tensile strength of concrete after 28 days of age, the highest average value of compressive strength of concrete with a mixture of 5% variation cardboard pulp worth 15.76 MPa and the lowest is concrete with a mixture of 15% variation cardboard pulp worth 6.12 MPa. and the highest average value of split tensile strength is concrete with a mixture of 10% variation cardboard pulp worth 1.22 MPa and the lowest is concrete with a mixture of 15% variation cardboard pulp worth 0.85 MPa.

Abstract

The development of facilities and infrastructure in Indonesia is experiencing quite significant progress, as seen from the large number of infrastructure/buildings built in various sectors. In addition to cost efficiency and time effectiveness, one indicator of the success of a construction project is the absence of work accidents during the construction process. This study focuses on the analysis of construction risks in the Citimall Garut building construction project. The purpose of this study is to identify risks, determine the level of risk (low-medium-high), and to determine the appropriate dominant medium risk response in the Citimall Garut Building construction project. In this study, a qualitative descriptive method was used. The methods used in this study, namely the Severity Index and Probability Impact Matrix, are very relevant to other construction projects. The application of this method to similar projects will help in early risk identification and the preparation of more appropriate mitigation strategies. Prioritize risk management according to the severity and likelihood of occurrence. The results of the study of Construction Risk Analysis in the Citimall Garut Building Construction Project, there are 17 valid risk variables for the project. 3 medium category risks that affect costs, 6 medium category risks that affect time. The most dominant risk that occurs in the cost aspect is damage to project equipment and machinery, while from the time aspect is changes to the work schedule. The response to the risk of changes to the work schedule is to create a project schedule that has a buffer time to anticipate potential changes or delays. This includes including reserve time in the schedule for critical tasks. The response to the risk of damage to project equipment and machinery is to carry out routine maintenance on all project equipment and machinery to prevent damage. Preventive maintenance can include periodic inspections, lubrication, and replacement of worn-out spare parts before damage occurs.

Abstract

Abstract

The construction sector carries a high risk of workplace accidents, making the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) management essential to ensure worker safety and support smooth project execution. This study aims to analyze the extent of OHS management implementation in the Rancabango Hotel Construction Project, Garut Regency, and to identify inhibiting factors and control measures. The research applied a descriptive quantitative approach through questionnaires distributed to 65 respondents representing various project roles. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods and the Respondent Satisfaction Index (RSI). The results show that several aspects have been implemented relatively well, including OHS policies (X = 3.17), equipment and machinery inspection (X = 3.4), and workplace cleanliness (X = 3.46), all of which fall into the “Agree” category. However, there remain significant weaknesses in OHS implementation, particularly in accident evaluation (X = 2.15), use of personal protective equipment (PPE) (X = 2.34), and leadership attention to OHS (X = 2.34), which are all categorized as “Disagree.” These factors represent the main obstacles to effective OHS management on the project. As control measures, the study recommends appointing certified OHS officers, improving training and awareness programs, and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for regular accident evaluations. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for enhancing the effectiveness of OHS management in construction projects, thereby reducing potential workplace accidents, improving productivity, and fostering a safer and more sustainable work environment.

Abstract

Construction project management plays a vital role in ensuring the successful implementation of projects, particularly in achieving time efficiency. This study aims to analyze the effect of project resource proportions—namely labor, materials, and equipment—on the time efficiency of construction project implementation, using a case study of the Batununggal District Office Building construction project in Bandung. The research employed multiple linear regression analysis with three types of data: actual data, a model with the addition of labor, and a model with the reduction of two workers per week. The multicollinearity test results showed that the material variable was excluded from the model due to a very high multicollinearity value (Tolerance = 0.000; VIF = 00), so the analysis focused only on labor and equipment variables. Simultaneously, both variables significantly influenced time efficiency, as indicated by the actual data results (F_calculated = 628.085 > F_table = 19.00; sig = 0.002; R² = 0.998). Partially, labor had a significant positive effect (B = 7.377; sig = 0.001), while equipment had a significant negative effect (B = –1.589; sig = 0.019). The model with additional labor increased time efficiency to 7.87, higher than the actual condition of 5.52, whereas the model with reduced labor decreased efficiency to 3.04. The findings indicate that increasing the proportion of labor tends to improve time efficiency, while the equipment variable exerts an opposite effect on project time acceleration. Therefore, optimizing labor management strategies is the key factor in achieving project schedule targets. This study contributes by providing empirical insight into the effect of resource proportions on time efficiency and serves as a reference for project managers in formulating more effective labor allocation strategies.

Abstract

The implementation of an Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) is a crucial aspect in creating a safe, orderly, and productive working environment within the construction sector, which is known for its high level of risk. This study was conducted on the KAI Hotel Boutique construction project with the aim of evaluating the extent to which the K3 system has been implemented in accordance with applicable standards. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach, distributing questionnaires to workers and project management staff, complemented by an analysis of internal audit results. The assessment focused on five key elements: K3 policy, planning, implementation and operation, evaluation, and management review. The data analysis revealed that the level of success in implementing SMK3 reached 86.27%, which falls into the high achievement category according to regulatory provisions. This indicates that the K3 system has been effectively implemented, although several aspects still require improvement, such as suboptimal emergency response training, limited certified first aid (P3K) and fire extinguisher (APAR) personnel, and incomplete risk documentation. Moreover, the dissemination of emergency response structures and the conduct of toolbox meetings need to be strengthened to ensure that all workers share a common understanding of safety procedures. With this achievement, the contribution of this research to the construction industry is to provide empirical evidence that consistent SMK3 implementation can enhance workplace safety, reduce accident potential, reinforce compliance with safety standards, and support project productivity and sustainability. The findings also emphasize that strengthening aspects of training, documentation, and internal communication will be key to establishing a sustainable safety culture within the construction industry.
