Abstract

This study aims to explore how crisis communication strategies were implemented by PT. Darma Kalimantan Jaya in addressing the conflict over industrial waste management, as well as to analyze the effectiveness of the conflict resolution process in rebuilding public trust. The research adopts a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving five key informants consisting of company representatives, community leaders, and affected residents. Informants were selected using purposive sampling, while data were analyzed using thematic and narrative approaches to identify communication patterns and the dynamics of the crisis. The results reveal that in the early stages of the crisis, the company’s communication was closed, defensive, and reactive, which worsened its relationship with the surrounding community. However, under public and media pressure, the company initiated significant changes by forming a crisis communication team, conducting open meetings with local residents, and implementing corrective actions such as improving waste treatment systems and enhancing information transparency. These measures gradually reduced the intensity of the conflict, helped restore the company’s image, and rebuilt community trust. This study concludes that the effectiveness of crisis communication depends not only on the speed and accuracy of the response but also on information transparency, empathy toward affected communities, and public participation in the conflict resolution process. Theoretically, this research contributes to strengthening a community-based crisis communication model within the rubber industry context and serves as a reference for other industrial companies in managing environmental crises ethically, transparently, and sustainably.   Keyword; Crisis Communication, Waste Management, Conflict Resolution, Information Transparency, PT. Abstract

A web page usually consists of information in every page blocks displayed. In some cases, news content displayed in a news website are not entirely relevant or are unrelated to the main content such as navigation panel, copyright, user guide, links, news summary, various advertisement etc. Information blocks irrelevant to the main content is known as web pages noise. This research applies feature weighting technique to improve classification results by detecting a noise in pages of a website. Using feature weighting technique the web is first modelled with Document Object Model(DOM) tree and Compressed Structure Tree(CST) to obtain the general structure and compare the information blocks in awebsite.Information obtained is used to measure and evaluate the importance level of each node created by Compressed Structureed Tree(CST). Based on the tree created and the importance level of each node, this method assign weights on each individual word (feature) in each content block. The weights will be used in web mining process.

Abstract

Generation Z's knowledge exploration, interpretation of nationality, and existence as citizens are all influenced by social media, which has evolved beyond its original purpose of sharing news. Combining the emotional intensity of broadcasts with the impersonal nature of automated curation may lead to a loss of context and the polarization of public discourse. This study employs a qualitative literature review by examining scholarly sources published between 2015 and 2025. The analysis was carried out using a thematic synthesis approach to identify patterns, findings, and emerging trends related to disinformation, critical digital literacy, and national identity among Generation Z, This article presents a practical solution: bolstering Indonesian identity while simultaneously combating misinformation via the integration of critical digital literacy, algorithmic awareness, and digital nationalism. A review of research conducted between 2024 and 2025 highlights four important aspects: (1) misleading campaign videos with text often surface on social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok. (2) In order to combat this, schools should implement source verification assignments, encourage slow reading, and create data-based counternarratives. (3) To create an effective literacy the environment, teachers and librarians should prioritize frequent small sessions, literacy teams, student representatives, and interactive channels. (4) Gen Z is more likely to find meaningful cultural hashtags, local collections, historical site vlogs, and participatory national narratives. Thus, being tech-savvy is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to digital literacy; it also serves as a glue for Indonesian identity and a foundation for public reason

Abstract

Poverty and inadequate housing remain persistent issues in Solok Regency. As an effort to empower mustahik, the Solok Regency BAZNAS implements the Uninhabitable House Program (RTLH) through the construction and rehabilitation of homes for low-income communities. This study aims to describe the mechanism for determining program beneficiaries and to examine the program’s impact on their welfare. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews with commissioners, amil, and beneficiaries, as well as program documentation. The data were analyzed through the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion-drawing using source triangulation. The results show that beneficiary selection is carried out through application submission, administrative verification, field surveys, and deliberative decision-making. The RTLH program improves the physical feasibility of houses, enhances a sense of security, strengthens self-esteem, and promotes social interaction among beneficiaries, although challenges persist due to limited funding and restricted program coverage. Therefore, optimization in planning and expansion of program targets is needed going forward. These findings highlight the strategic role of zakat in poverty alleviation through the provision of decent housing at the regional level
