Abstract

This study further examines the influence of entrepreneurship in the innovation of the non-formal English language education industry (English course) that is oriented towards the achievement of competitive advantage. Entrepreneurship is characterized by entrepreneurial leadership, entrepreneurial culture, and an entrepreneurial mindset. This research approach is undertaken with strategic entrepreneurship. The method used is a quantitative method that begins with an explorative study of the English course industry in DKI Jakarta. The results of the discussion of institutional course data using a franchise system in which entrepreneurial mindset has no significant effect on entrepreneurial leadership and innovation strategy, as well as entrepreneurial culture, has no significant impact on innovation strategy. On the other side, institutional course data using a non-franchise system found that entrepreneurial leadership has no significant effect and is inversely proportional to innovation strategy. This research provides a new repertoire of entrepreneurial fusion and its impact on organizational innovation so that competitive advantage can be achieved. The entrepreneurial typology and innovation of the research results are given in managerial implications as the contribution of this study.

Abstract

The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic impacts health, the economy, and the environment (also known as COVID19). It's no secret that tourism has been hit particularly hard during the Covid-19 era. Nevertheless, many people continue to search for a tourist destination despite the covid-19 health protocol. Individuals tend to stay home during an outbreak, and large families with young children travel shorter distances than other tourist groups. Local visitors continue to be interested in TMII as a domestic tourism destination as 74 percent of visitors want to visit TMII. Analysis of TMII's amenities and ancillary services using the Rasch Model revealed the most attractive destination attributes. However, when it comes to transportation options, they are by far the least appealing.

Abstract

Quality service has become increasingly important in the public sector. Government services and their quality requirements are developing in response to changes in customers’ needs and expectations. The primary objective of the research was to strengthen public sector performance. It used a sustainable service view by examining professional public service as a mediating variable of service-oriented competence, socio-emotional ability, and workplace spirituality on sustainable service performance in Indonesia. A structured questionnaire was sent to public sector employees using a non-probability sampling method with convenience sampling. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to test the research hypotheses using the SmartPLS version 3.2.9. After assessing the measurement model, the results show that service-oriented competence, socio-emotional ability, and workplace spirituality affect sustainable service performance significantly. Furthermore, the professional public service strengthens the relationship of service-oriented competence, socio-emotional ability, and workplace spirituality on sustainable service performance. It also implies a novel result by demonstrating that professional public service can mediate service-oriented competence, socio-emotional ability, and workplace spirituality toward sustainable service performance. Although hard skills are essential for knowledge of service-oriented competence, the research findings show that soft skills, particularly socio-emotional ability, will assure the public sector’s sustainable service performance. Therefore, soft skill development is very important for enhancing socio-emotional abilities.

Abstract

Mobile applications today serve as versatile tools across diverse sectors, enhancing human productivity through specialized software on electronic devices. Implementation of the mobile application can also be applied to vehicles, with inspection and checking functions assisted by the Onboard Diagnostic-II (OBD-II) scanner. The research aimed to develop an integrated mobile application that utilized the OBD-II scanner and Data Acquisition System (DAS) to monitor vehicle health and provide timely service reminders. Vehicle information was taken by the DAS process into a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) from the vehicle itself. The method applied the waterfall model, which consisted of communication, planning, modeling, construction, and evaluation. The problem analysis and requirements gathering for developing the application involves the interview method and Google Forms-generated questionnaires with 101 responses. Then, the research used OBD-II series ELM327 and ELM 327 IC devices for testing. The research results in an application developed for vehicle diagnostics using a recommendation system through notifications that provide vehicle health information and service time reminders to users. This application consists of eight modules, with the main module being able to provide recommendations for vehicle owners. These recommendations are helpful for users to maintain the health of their vehicles regularly. Further research is recommended to enhance the development of the application, aiming to create a more comprehensive user interface.

Abstract

The rapid growth of tourism sector can positively impact the performance of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the tourism industry. However, the performance of tourism SMEs largely depends on how many domestic and international tourists arrive in Indonesia. The research aimed to determine the effect of social capital, social media marketing, and entrepreneurial orientation on the performance of tourism SMEs in Greater Jakarta. These indicators were adapted from several previous researchers. The research applied a quantitative approach. The primary data were obtained through interviews and questionnaires from 116 tourism SMEs. Then, the research analyzed the data using a Likert scale and Partial Least Squares-Structural Equations Model (PLS-SEM). The results support the acceptance of all three hypotheses, indicating that social capital, social media marketing, and entrepreneurial orientation significantly impact the performance of SME tourism. The research suggests substantial implications for tourism businesses and policies in Greater Jakarta. Strengthening social capital is essential for SMEs by requiring networking with business partners, suppliers, and local communities. Similarly, promoting marketing through social networks and investing in content strategies, targeted advertising, and collaboration with influencers are necessary. SMEs must apply an entrepreneurial perspective by encouraging innovation, new opportunities, and adaptation. Last, the government and stakeholders must support programs and policies that stimulate the development of these elements that contribute to the growth and sustainability of the tourism sector in the region.

Abstract

Human-centered leadership has become a term established due to increasing concern on organizations that need to balance technological improvement while maintain the importance of human values. This study investigates whether religiosity may serve as a source that is being mediated through personal excellence and collaborative excellence with AI usage as moderating variable. Data were collected from 400 employees across organizational levels in Indonesia, data were analyzed using PLS-SEM through SmartPLS 4.0. The result of this study shows that Religiosity positively strengthens both Personal Excellence (PE) and Collaborative Excellence (CE), which each contribute significantly to the establishment of Human-Centered Leadership (HCL). PE and CE also becomes mediators in this study, meaning that religiosity operates through how individuals develop and express excellence rather than acting on leadership directly. However, AI usage moderated none of these paths. The relationship between excellence and Human-Centered Leadership remains regardless of AI integration level. It provides important insight that AI influence operational efficiency rather than humanistic leadership qualities. These findings also shows that spiritual values may influence the personal and relational excellence that Human-Centered Leadership demands. AI functions as an operational tool, not a substitute of its human factor.
