Abstract

Sentiment analysis is the process of analyzing an opinion or public opinion regarding a phenomenon that has occurred, is currently occurring or will occur. Sentiments that are commonly discussed are the public's assessment of an object positively, negatively or neutrally. Twitter is the most popular media used to express all forms of public emotions and opinions in the form of tweets or text. The issues discussed in it include many events, such as the 2024 general election which will be held in Indonesia. This media is easily accessible to many people to show other people's opinions regarding existing phenomena. This research discusses the topic after the 2024 general election with opinions based on three sentiment classes, namely positive, neutral and negative. The aim of this research is to build a sentiment analysis system by applying the Probabilistic Neural Network algorithm as a classification model. The method used is data collection, cleaning, preprocessing, TF-IDF word weighting, labeling, classification models, and evaluation of results. The data used amounted to 2002 data with a division of 1035 positive tweets, 693 neutral tweets and 274 negative tweets. The program was built using Google Colaboratory and the Python programming language. Testing was carried out with 3 (three) comparisons, namely 90:10, 70:30, and 50:50. By comparing 90% training data and 10% testing data, the greatest model accuracy was obtained with a value of 88.42% and taking into account the evaluation using the confusion matrix and precision parameters of 89%, recall of 88%, and f1-score of 88%. Evaluation was also carried out for website-based applications on new data with an accuracy value of 66%.

Abstract

The software development process has gone through significant change in the recent years. Now delivering a system that merely satisfies functional requirements is no longer enough. Companies want their systems to be easily maintained, scalable, fault tolerant, available, integrated, and other attributes. The microservice architecture was designed to create such a robust system where a big monolith system is broken down into multiple small services that communicate each other to fulfill the requirements. One area of functional requirements that exist and needed in almost all kind of companies is the logistic part. This paper will discuss how microservices architecture can be designed and implemented to support logistic functionality that can be reused in a lot of companies as the base system.

Abstract

The proliferation of e-learning platforms has created a need for sophisticated course recommendation systems. This paper presents an innovative online course recommendation system using Neural Collaborative Filtering (NCF), a deep learning technique designed to surpass traditional methods in accuracy and personalization. Our system employs a hybrid NCF architecture, integrating matrix factorization with multi-layer perceptron to capture complex user-course interactions. The proposed NCF-based recommendation system aims to address key challenges in the e-learning domain, such as diverse user preferences, varying course content, and evolving learning patterns. By leveraging the power of neural networks, our approach seeks to provide more relevant and personalized course suggestions to learners. Our research contributes to the intersection of deep learning and educational technology, offering new insights into how advanced machine learning techniques can be applied to improve online learning experiences. The proposed system has the potential to enhance the quality of course recommendations, leading to more effective learning pathways for users. This work has important implications for e-learning platforms, educational institutions, and lifelong learners navigating the vast landscape of online courses. By improving the match between learners and courses, we aim to increase engagement, completion rates, and overall satisfaction in online education. Future work will explore the long-term impact of such personalized recommendations on learning outcomes and skill development.

Abstract

The principal purpose of the current study is to explore the nexus between supply chain financial risk, supply chain operational performance and supply chain management. To achieve the objective of the current study we have proposed two direct and one indirect hypothesis. To achieve the objective of the current study, we have employed the structural equation modeling and used the statistical package of smart PLS-3. The data by mean of an adapted survey instrument in the form of questionnaire is collected from the operation and finance managers of manufacturing firms. The results of the current study are providing support to the hypothesized results as supply chain financial risk appear in significant relationship with firm supply performance. Meanwhile the supply chain operational risk is in significant relationship with supply chain management and also significantly moderate the relationship between supply chain financial risk and supply chain management. The current study which in author knowledge is among few pioneering studies on this issue, will be helpful for financial experts, operation managers, academicians, researchers and other policy makers in formulating policies.

Abstract

Indonesian is a language with a large number of speakers and diverse vocabulary. One of the main challenges of Indonesian language processing is the presence of agglutinative morphology. This complexity makes it challenging for traditional stemming algorithms developed for European languages to accurately handle Indonesian words. This review focuses on several prominent Indonesian text processing algorithms that have been developed specifically for Indonesian, highlighting the contributions made by Nazief and Adriani, Asian, Arifin and Setiono, and the Enhanced Confix Stripping (ECS) stemmer. By examining these algorithms, we can better understand their methodologies, efficacy, and applications. The results of the study revealed that the ECS stemmer outperformed the other algorithms in terms of accuracy and efficiency. The ECS algorithm was able to strip affixes more effectively and accurately identify the root form of words, leading to improved text analysis and information retrieval. As linguistic technology continues to evolve, ongoing research into these methods will be crucial for advancing our ability to process Indonesian texts accurately and effectively.
