Abstract

Reef fish resources are the main catch in Karimunjawa National Park. The fishing activities are feared to have an impact on the sustainability of fish resources inside and outside the conservation area. The purpose of this study is to analyze of the sustainability of reef fish resources (Family Caesionidae) in marine protected area. The study was conducted in Karimunjawa National Park (TNKJ) in Jepara Regency, Central Java, April-September 2017. Data collection was carried out by survey, observation, and deep interview methods, including primary data. Coral fish of the Caesionidae family, which were the object of research, were Caesio cuning and Caesio caerulaurea. Data collection on fish length and weight was carried out six times sampling (for six months). Examples of fish taken from three collectors in Karimunjawa Village. Water quality data was taken for analysis of pH, total dissolved solids (TDS), temperature, biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), total suspended solids (TSS), and salinity. Data analysis using FISAT II program and estimation of spawning potential ratio (SPR) using length-based spawning potential ratio analysis. To analyze management aspects of reef fishes, stakeholder analysis was carried out. The research results indicated that Caesio cuning and Caesio caerulaurea had exploitation rate values ​​of 0.69 and 0.61, in the condition of over exploited. The spawning potential ratio (SPR) value are 0.14 and 0.25 (the capacity of adult fish that is ready naturally to spawn is very small). Water quality data is below the water quality standard for marine biota, indicated that the waters of the Karimunjawa National Park was sustainable. The results of stakeholder analysis indicated that there are four parties who are the subject of management. They were fisheries management authorities and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) as work partners of the management authority. Ikan karang merupakan sumber daya ikan yang menjadi tangkapan utama nelayan di Taman Nasional Karimunjawa. Penangkapan ikan tersebut dikhawatirkan berdampak pada keberlanjutan sumber daya ikan di dalam dan luar kawasan konservasi. Tujuan studi ini adalah menganalisis keberlanjutan sumber daya ikan karang Famili Caesionidae di kawasan konservasi. Studi dilakukan di Taman Taman Nasional Karimunjawa (TNKJ) Kabupaten Jepara, Jawa Tengah, April-September 2017. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode survei, observasi, dan wawancara dengan mengumpulkan data primer. Ikan karang Famili Caesionidae yang menjadi objek penelitian adalah Caesio cuning dan Caesio caerulaurea. Pengambilan data panjang dan bobot ikan dilakukan empat kali sampling (selama empat bulan). Contoh ikan diambil dari tiga pengepul di Desa Karimunjawa. Data kualitas air diambil untuk analisis pH, total dissolved solids (TDS), suhu, biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), total suspended solids (TSS), dan salinitas. Analisis data menggunakan program FISAT II dan pendugaan spawning potential ratio (SPR) menggunakan analisis length-based spawning potential ratio. Untuk menganalisis aspek pengelolaan, dilakukan analisis stakeholder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Caesio cuning dan Caesio caerulaurea mempunyai nilai laju eksploitasi berturut-turut 0,69 dan 0,61, berada pada kondisi over exploited. Nilai spawning potential ratio (SPR) berturut-turut adalah 0,14 dan 0,25 (kapasitas ikan dewasa yang siap memijah di alam sangat sedikit). Data kualitas air berada di bawah baku mutu perairan untuk biota laut, menunjukkan perairan TNKJ dalam kondisi berlanjut. Hasil analisis stakeholder menunjukkan ada empat pihak yang menjadi subjek pengelolaan, dan semuanya adalah pemegang otoritas pengelolaan perikanan dan Lembaga Swadaya Masyarakat (LSM) sebagai partner kerja otoritas pengelola.

Abstract

This research conducted due to lack of information about fish larvae in Ranau Lake, South Sumatera. This information is quite essential to explore because this can be used as a scientific basis for policy formation in this area. The objectives of this research are to analyze the correlation between fish larvae abundance to physicochemical parameters in Ranau Lake waters. Sampling was carried out at six stations (Muara Silabung, Dermaga, Way Maisin, Pemandian Air Panas, Lumbok, and Talang Teluk). Physico-chemical parameters measured directly in the field are temperature, pH, depth, brightness, CO2, O2, hardness, electrical conductivity, total alkalinity, and turbidity; while the chemical parameters measured in the laboratory are COD, NO2, NO3, NH3, and PO4. Larvae species identified through DNA sequence. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) was used to measure the relationship between fish larvae abundance to the water parameters. Results show that generally there were forty-two fish larvae from nine species. The dominant species was Oreochromis niloticus. The results of the Principal Component Analysis show that the highest abundance of fish larvae was in water with the highest level of turbidity and dissolved oxygen, whereas the lowest abundance was in water with the highest level nitrate and depth. Belum ada informasi tentang kelimpahan larva ikan diperairan Danau Ranau Sumatera Selatan melatarbelakangi penelitian ini. Informasi ini sangat penting untuk diketahui karena dapat dijadikan acuan dalam pengelolaan perikanan di wilayah ini. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan kelimpahan larva ikan dengan parameter fisika-kimia di perairan Danau Ranau. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di enam stasiun (Muara Silabung, Dermaga, Way Maissin, Pemandian Air Panas, Lumbok dan Talang Teluk). Parameter fisika-kimia perairan yang diukur langsung di lapangan adalah suhu, pH, kedalaman, kecerahan, CO2, O2, kesadahan, daya hantar listrik, total alkalinitas, dan turbiditas; sedangkan parameter kimia yang diukur di laboratorim adalah COD, NO2, NO3, NH3, dan PO4. Spesies larva ikan diidentifikasi dengan sekuen DNA. Analisis Komponen Utama dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kelimpahan larva ikan dengan parameter fisika-kimia perairan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara keseluruhan ada 42 larva ikan yang berasal dari 9 spesies. Spesies yang paling dominan adalah Oreochromis niloticus. Hasil Analisis Komponen Utama menunjukkan bahwa kelimpahan larva ikan tertinggi (102,9 individu/100m3) berada pada stasiun pengamatan yang memiliki turbiditas dan oksigen terlarut tertinggi, sedangkan kelimpahan larva ikan terendah (10,83 individu/100m3) berada pada stasiun pengamatan yang memiliki kadar nitrat dan kedalaman tertinggi.

Abstract

Karimunjawa National Park (KNP) is a marine protected area established to preserve ecosystems and natural resources. Scomberomorus commerson (tenggiri) and Euthynnus affinis (tongkol) arethe two species of pelagic fish which are the main catches for artisanal fishery in KNP. This study was aimed to analyze the exploitation rate of S. commerson and E. affinis. Field survey was conducted in KNP District of Jepara, Central Java, in June-September 2016. The exploitation rate is measured by analytical method based on fish’s growth and mortality, through measuring the length of the fish for three months. Totally, as many as 314 individuals of S. Commersonand 499 individuals of E. Affinis were measured. The data were analyzed using Fish Stock Assessment Tools (FISAT II) statistical program. The results indicated that S. Commerson have a body-size trend that tends to increase, with the rate of exploitation (E) was 0,29 (under-exploited), which means there is anopportunity to increase it’s utilization. At the other hand, the size of E. Affinis tends to decrease, with the rate of exploitation (E) = 0,5. It means that the condition of utilizationof E. Affinis was at alarming position. It is necessary to control the tongkol fishing by regulating fishing gear, in order to avoid overfishing situation. Taman Nasional Karimunjawa (TNKJ) merupakan salah satu kawasan konservasi yang bertujuan melindungi kelestarian ekosistem dan sumber daya alam. Ikan tenggiri (Scomberomorus commerson)dan tongkol (Euthynnus affinis) adalah ikan pelagis yang merupakan tangkapan utama di TNKJ. Tujuan studi ini adalah menganalisis laju eksploitasi ikan tenggiri dan tongkol. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juni-September 2016. Pengukuran laju eksploitasi menggunakan metode analitik didasarkan pada pertumbuhan dan mortalitas ikan, dengan mengukur panjang ikan hasil tangkapan selama tiga bulan. Jumlah ikan tenggiri yang diukur adalah 314 ekor, dan ikan tongkol adalah 499 ekor. Analisis data menggunakan program Fish Stock Assessment Tools (FISAT II). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tren ukuran ikan tenggiri cenderung meningkat, dengan laju eksploitasi (E) = 0,29 (under exploited), sehingga pemanfaatannya dapat ditingkatkan. Sementara ukuran ikan tongkol cenderung menurun, dengan laju eksploitasi (E) = 0,5. Kondisi pemanfaatan ikan tongkol berada pada posisi mengkhawatirkan. Sehingga perlu dilakukan pengelolaan terhadap penangkapan ikan tongkol agar tidak mengarah ke penangkapan berlebih, dengan mengatur alat tangkap nelayan.

Abstract

Research in the use of lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) to reduce odors in liquid organic fertilizer has been conducted in Bogor for 6 months. This study begin with a liquid organic fertilizer produced from 1 kg of shrimp waste, 1 kg of maize, 1 kg of bean sprouts, 10 liters of coconut water, 500 ml of EM4 and 500 g of sugar through fermentation process for 6 weeks. Then the result of liquid organic fertilizer was added by an ingredient lemongrass as deodorizing with doses of 0, 10%, 20% and 30% (w/v). After that it is fermented for 2 weeks. The next stage was the application of liquid organic fertilizer as a foliar fertilizer at chillies (Capsicum annum) planting using a completely randomized design (CRD) 1 factors type of using liquid organic fertilizer (control, liquid organic fertilizer without lemongrass, liquid organic fertilizer + 10% lemongrass, liquid organic fertilizer + 20% lemongrass and liquid organic fertilizer + 30% lemongrass) respectively at doses of 0, 6, 12 and 18 ppm. The parameters measured were odor (NH3 and H2S), levels of macro nutrients (N, P, K, Ca, Mg, and S) and micro nutrients (Cu, Zn, Mn, and Fe) after fermenting process, and the production of crops (fruit number and fruit weight) after planting. Research results show that the higher dose of lemongrass added cause levels of odor (NH3 and H2S) in the liquid organic fertilizer decreased and content of macro nutrients, micro nutrients, and phytohormones increased. The planting results indicate liquid organic fertilizer which added 20% lemongrass in a dose of 12 ppm was the optimal dose in increasing crop production. Penelitian penggunaan sereh (Cymbopogon citratus) dalam menurunkan bau pada pupuk organik cair telah dilakukan di Bogor selama 6 bulan. Penelitian ini diawali dengan membuat pupuk organik cair yang dihasilkan dari 1 kg limbah udang, 1 kg jagung, 1 kg touge, 10 Liter air kelapa, 500 ml EM4 dan 500 g gula pasir melalui proses fermentasi selama 6 minggu. Kemudian pada pupuk organik cair yang dihasilkan ditambahkan sereh sebagai bahan penghilang bau dengan dosis 0, 10%, 20% dan 30% (w/v). Setelah itu didiamkan selama 2 minggu. Tahapan berikutnya merupakan pengaplikasian pupuk organik cair tersebut sebagai pupuk daun pada pertanaman cabai (Capsicum annum) dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) 1 faktor jenis pupuk organik cair yang digunakan (kontrol, pupuk organik cair tanpa sereh, pupuk organik cair + 10% sereh, pupuk organik cair + 20% sereh dan pupuk organik cair + 30% sereh) masing-masing pada dosis 0, 6, 12 dan 18 ppm. Parameter yang diukur adalah parameter kebauan (NH3 dan H2S), kadar hara makro (N, P, K, Ca, Mg, dan S) dan kadar hara mikro (Cu, Zn, Mn, dan Fe) setelah proses pemeraman, dan produksi tanaman (jumlah buah dan bobot buah) setelah pertanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi dosis sereh yang ditambahkan menyebabkan kadar gas penyebab bau (NH3 dan H2S) pada pupuk organik cair makin berkurang dan kadar hara makro, hara mikro maupun fitohormon makin meningkat. Hasil pertanaman menunjukkan pemberian pupuk organik cair yang ditambahkan 20% sereh pada dosis 12 ppm merupakan dosis paling optimal dalam meningkatkan produksi tanaman.

Abstract

A laboratory scale research to obtain environmentally safe effluent and liquid fertilizer from leachate from Final Waste Disposal Site in Galuga owned by Regional Government of Bogor City was conducted from July 2006 through to April 2007. The experiment was initiated by aerating the leachate in 4 difference aeration rates (0, 10, 30 and 70 liters/minute) followed by processing the sediment to product the liquid fertilizer. The experiment of production liquid fertilizer was carried out by adding lime with different dosage into sediment generated from processing by aerating at 70 liters/minute followed by centrifugation process or secher. Further, the liquid fertilizer generated from such experiment was applied to chilis planting (Capsicum annum). The research found that the processing conducted by aerating at the rate 70 liters/minute was the most effective in reducing pollutant from leachate. The addition of 1000 ppm CaO or Ca(OH)2 limes in sediment from aeration is the most effective in depositing the dissolved material compared to the addition of limes in other dosage. Liquid fertilizer generated through the addition of 1000 ppm CaO have the content of N = 375,83 ppm, P = 121,44 ppm, K = 948,11 ppm, Ca = 827,20 ppm, Mg = 959,50 ppm, S = 48,53 ppm, Cu = 8,23 ppm, Zn = 30,02 ppm, Mn = 230,57 ppm, Fe = 320,95 ppm, Pb = 10,34 ppm, Cd = 7,46 ppm and Cr = 2,05 ppm. The use of liquid fertilizer generated by adding 1000 ppm CaO was the most effective in enhancing vegetation growth and production of chili. The non essential elements (Pb, Cd and Cr) in fruits from vegetation given liquid fertilizer produced from such treatment did not exceed tolerable threshold.
