Abstract

Purpose — This research aims to test and analyze the influence of self-efficacy and career development on employee performance, while also examining the mediating role of work engagement.Method — This research employs an associative quantitative research approach. The research sample comprised 147 employees from the UPBU Class I offices in Mopah Merauke, Wamena, and Domine Eduard Osok Sorong. Probability sampling was used as the sampling technique. The analysis method utilized in this study is SEM-PLS, conducted using SmartPLS3 software.Result — We found that self-efficacy and career development have a positive and significant impact on work engagement. Furthermore, self-efficacy, career development, and work involvement positively and significantly affect employee performance. Our research also revealed that work involvement plays a mediating role in the influence of self-efficacy and career development on employee performance.Novelty  — This study innovatively utilizes work engagement as a mediating variable to delve into the determinants of work performance specifically within the context of local public organizations, shedding light on previously unexplored aspects of employee productivity in this setting.

Abstract

Insufficient protein intake in children during the growth period is one of the causes of the increasing prevalence of stunting children in Indonesia. Fish has been researched to contain high levels of protein which is good for children's growth and development. In general, fish is only processed simply so it is not liked by children, whereas it can be processed into various processed products, such as nuggets. This community service aimed to determine the effect of providing fish nugget processing training on the knowledge of training participants. An increase in knowledge was measured using a one group pretest posttest design, which was then carried out with a real difference test to see the difference in the average pretest and posttest scores using the non-parametric Wilcoxon test. This training activity was given to 16 housewives and parents of Early Childhood Education School students in Situ Udik Village, Cibungbulang District, Bogor Regency with age characteristics ranging from 20-60 years and the latest education level was Elementary School-Senior High School. The results of this community service showed that providing training has a significant effect on increasing the knowledge of training participants in processing fish nuggets. The average pretest score of training participants (74.38%) showed a value that is significantly different from the average posttest score (95.63%) with significance value (Asymp. Sig.) 0.000. It is hoped that the results of this community service can be implemented by the community in producing fish-based nuggets for family consumption and sale to consumers. Keywords: Fish nuggets, food processing training, processed fish products, Situ Udik village, stunting.

Abstract

Situ Udik Village faces household waste issues due to population growth and changing consumption patterns, leading to environmental pollution. The 2024 National Community Service Program by Indonesia Open University aims to address this problem by utilizing organic waste as compost to enhance agricultural productivity. The methods include expert-led socialization, compost-making training, and the application of simple technology using buckets as composters. The composting process involves burned rice husks, rice bran, and household organic waste, which are fermented for 21 days (about 3 weeks). The results indicate that the produced compost has a neutral pH and optimal fertility for use as a planting medium. This program not only reduces waste but also improves soil fertility and enhances community welfare through new economic opportunities. Moving forward, research will focus on analyzing the chemical composition of the planting medium and its impact on agricultural productivity. Keywords: Situ Udik Village, Compost, Household Waste

Abstract

PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII (PTPN VIII) is a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN). It operates in the plantation sector.  The leading commodity is tea.  The demand for tea produced by PTPN VIII is increasing. Thus, planning tea production is necessary. One of the production planning efforts is through forecasting based on previous data.  Tea  production data is time-series data.  It contains seasonal elements and is dependent on other locations. We will analyze data with these criteria  using space-time models, one of which is vector autoregressive (VAR). VAR models the relationship  between observations on certain variables at one time. It also models the observation of the variable itself at previous times. Additionally, VAR models  the relationship  between observations and other variables at previous times. This paper explains how to forecast tea  production. It uses the reconstituted VAR and Seasonal Autoregressive Moving Average (SARIMA) models. The results showed that the reconstituted VAR model was better than the SARIMA model in predicting tea production. The tea production prediction was at the Sedep and Santosa plantations in Bandung Regency.

Abstract

One source of learning in the learning process is learning materials. In distance education, learning resources prepared for students must be able to be studied independently. The separation of lecturers and students needs to be bridged by learning materials that can be understood by students. A video is a form of learning materials that can be used to help students understand the material. Through videos, students can learn anywhere and anytime according to the time available. In the video, the duration of the material delivery is very significant. Likewise, components such as intro, greeting, and outro greatly support student motivation. The effective video duration in learning website-based statistical data analysis is 10-15 minutes. The component of presenting material that is in great demand by students in the discussion of sample questions and their application using R software.

Abstract

Abstract: Digital transformation has driven significant changes in various aspects of life, one of which is through the emergence of MBG technology, which has generated diverse public opinions. This research analyzes 6,728 public comments on the social media platform X (Twitter) using a text mining approach to assess sentiment towards the MBG and to compare the performance of two algorithms: Naïve Bayes and Logistic Regression. Initial results showed respective accuracies of 90% and 91%, but data imbalance, with a dominance of positive sentiment, lowered the precision, recall, and F1-Score values. Through the application of the SMOTE method to address the data imbalance, the performance of both algorithms improved, with Logistic Regression showing the best results (95% accuracy, 94% precision, 93% recall, and 95% F1-Score). These findings indicate that Logistic Regression is superior in analyzing public sentiment towards the development of MBG technology. Keywords: Naïve Bayes, Logistic Regression, MBG, Sentiment Analysis.
