Abstract

The primary issue addressed in the text is the importance of corporate governance, specifically within Sharia microfinance institutions, in achieving profitability and success. The study emphasizes the role of market share as an indicator of operational success for Sharia microfinance institutions, with a focus on meeting the needs of small communities. This study uses the library research method by extracting data from primary sources such as economics books and Sharia microfinance institutions. Data analysis is carried out using critical analysis and content analysis. The research findings highlight that these institutions use corporate social responsibility (CSR) as a strategic tool to promote their products and services. This, in turn, contributes to an increase in market share by introducing the company to the public. The text suggests that the implementation of CSR by Sharia microfinance institutions is motivated not only by economic considerations, such as marketing and promoting products but also by social motives, including a desire to assist others. In the context of Islamic or Sharia-compliant finance, the study underscores the integration of economic activities with ethical and socially responsible principles. The economic motive is evident in the use of CSR as a marketing tool to reach a wider community and promote financial products. The findings suggest that in the pursuit of economic goals, Sharia microfinance institutions also align themselves with social values by engaging in activities that benefit the broader community. This dual motive reflects the unique intersection of economic and ethical considerations within the framework of Sharia-compliant financial practices.

Abstract

Business transactions in the modern era require the use of technology and information. The sale and purchase contract is a familiar type of business transaction. Buying and selling has been practiced since ancient times. Nevertheless, modern development is taking place. All human transactions are governed by the Qur'an. Buying (al-bay') is one of the studies discussed in the Qur'an. The meaning and definition of al-bay' in the Qur'an differ from one letter to the next. This research reveals how the Qur'an views the concept of al-bay' in general. This study employed a maudu>'i> interpretation study approach in its library research. This maudu>'i interpretation study is used to explore data about al-bay' then explained based on the Koran's interpretation. The findings indicate that the word al-bay' in the Koran has two meanings. To begin, al-bay' discusses economic issues, particularly purchasing and selling transactions. So al-bay' is always associated with profit in worldly affairs. This is the meaning of al-bay', which is widely debated among Islamic economists. While eating al-bay', the second discusses the issue of ukhrawi life and faith. The meaning that emerges as a result of the modern world's conditions is that al-bay' is associated with the economic field. The truth is that economic conditions are rapidly changing, and one example is online buying transactions.

Abstract

Islam mengatur seluruh aspek kehidupan manusia. Abstract

This research is backed by the phenomenon of online transactions conducted by the people of the modern era. Online transactions emerge due to the development of technology and information that can help human beings buy and sell transactions efficiently. However, online transactions pose an individual problem as fraud. Islam governs that every transaction should prioritize a mutual attitude so that no party is harmed. Islam guarantees that all forms of transactions must be free from anything that could harm either party. This article will discuss Islam's concept to protect the parties in the transaction, especially in online transactions. This research is a research library with a normative juridical approach. The data analysis used is content analysis and critic analysis. This research can conclude that al-ru'yah may be applied to online transactions as a form of collateral protection provided to the consumer. Khiyar al-ru'yah attempts to ensure that the consumer knows the goods are transacted so that no party is harmed.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has transformed marketing practices for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), offering new opportunities for outreach, cost efficiency, and strategic positioning. In Indonesia, where the majority of consumers are Muslim, the effectiveness of digital marketing is not only shaped by technological adaptability but also by alignment with Islamic ethical values. Integrating sharia-compliant principles—such as transparency, justice, and trustworthiness—into digital marketing strategies is increasingly seen as a pathway to fostering stronger consumer trust and enhancing post-purchase satisfaction. This study aims to examine how sharia-compliant digital marketing influences customer trust and satisfaction within the SME marble industry and to assess the managerial-economic efficiency of such strategies. Adopting a mixed-methods approach, the research combines a case study of a marble SME that applies halal-themed digital campaigns with a survey of customers familiar with these practices. The findings suggest that embedding Islamic ethical values into digital marketing communications positively shapes consumer perception, reinforces brand credibility, and contributes to greater satisfaction. From a managerial economics perspective, these strategies demonstrate enhanced cost-effectiveness and greater market responsiveness compared to traditional offline methods. In conclusion, the integration of sharia-compliant values within digital marketing offers dual strategic advantages: fulfilling the ethical and spiritual expectations of consumers while simultaneously delivering sustainable and competitive economic outcomes for SMEs.

Abstract

Background: The global financial system faces escalating challenges in reconciling ethical wealth distribution with sustainable development, particularly within Islamic economies. Despite the shared emphasis of Maqasid al-Shariah (objectives of Islamic law) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on justice, equity, and environmental stewardship, their integration remains fragmented. Islamic financial institutions (IFIs) often prioritize Shariah compliance over proactive contributions to sustainability, while regulatory fragmentation and gender-environment gaps hinder systemic progress. Objectives: This study aims to: (1) analyze the structural alignment between Maqasid al-Shariah and SDGs in Islamic financial planning, (2) identify systemic barriers to their integration, and (3) propose actionable strategies to optimize Islamic finance’s role in ethical wealth distribution. Novelty: The research fills critical gaps in Islamic academic discourse by: Introducing the Maqasid-SDG Integration Theory, which recontextualizes classical Islamic jurisprudence within modern sustainability frameworks. Developing a Maqasid-SDG Index to evaluate financial products’ socio environmental impact, addressing the absence of standardized metrics. Resolving debates on adaptive jurisprudence (e.g., redefining daruriyyat to include climate action) and gender inclusivity in Islamic finance. Research Methodology / Design: A mixed-methods sequential explanatory design was employed, combining Qualitative Analysis: Thematic coding of classical texts (e.g., al-Shatibi’s Al-Muwafaqat), 45 semi-structured interviews with Shariah scholars and policymakers, and case studies of Malaysia and Indonesia. Quantitative Analysis: PLS-SEM modeling of secondary data from 30 IFIs (2015–2023) and regression analysis of SDG progress metrics (e.g., poverty rates, CO2 emissions). Comparative Jurisprudence: Cross-referencing Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi’i, and Hanbali interpretations of wealth distribution ethics. Findings: SDG Alignment: Shariah-compliant mechanisms like Zakat and green Sukuk reduced povertyby 12.7% and emissions by 2.3 million metric tons annually, respectively (β = 0.42, p < 0.01). Institutional Barriers: Regulatory fragmentation limited SDG-aligned financing to 28% in GCC countries versus 64% in Malaysia. Gender disparities persisted, with only 12% of Islamic banks offering women centric products. Theoretical Advancements: The Maqasid-SDG Index revealed a 63% explanatory power (R² = 0.63) for ethical outcomes, while juristic reinterpretations of maslaha (public interest) enabled blockchain-based Sukuk innovations. Implication: Theoretical: The study bridges Islamic ethics with sustainability science, offering a dynamic framework for adaptive jurisprudence. Practical: Policymakers should prioritize (1) cross-border regulatory harmonization, (2) financial literacy campaigns, and (3) gender-environment nexus products (e.g., Takaful for women-led green enterprises). Policy: Centralized Shariah governance, as seen in Malaysia’s Value-Based Intermediation framework, enhances SDG alignment but requires balancing with grassroots inclusivity (r= -0.58).

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to examine the suitability and sustainability of investment strategies, in a country's economy as a tool to face the challenges posed by the global recession. To achieve this, the researchers created a literature review of green investment's economic concepts and principles and their impact on the environment and economy. Our analysis also considered investment instruments that align with Islamic economic principles, including green sukuk and investments in renewable energy. We qualitatively analyzed the collected data to understand how implementing these strategies within economics could impact sustainability, social justice, and environmental responsibility. The findings indicate that integrating investment strategies into the economy holds significant potential for positive environmental and economic outcomes. By utilizing instruments such, as sukuk and investing in energy projects Islamic economics can foster sustainability while also addressing the challenges brought about by global recessions. Furthermore, our research delved deeply into examining how Islamic economic principles relate to the concept of investment. The global economy has suffered from recessions, but we found that adopting investment approaches can help revive it. Our research suggests that green investment strategies within the Islamic economy could be an effective and lasting solution to our global economy's challenges. Policymakers and market participants should take note and consider this strategy to maintain environmental stability while overcoming the effects of the recession.
