Abstract

Dating is a process between individuals meeting each other with the aim of establishing a relationship as a life partner. This study aims to determine the meaning of men who persist in abusive relationships. Criteria for male participants who have experienced an abusive relationship. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques using semi-structured interviews. The research data analysis technique used the interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) method. The results of data analysis showed that the participants of the same form of violence and the meaning of men who persisted in abusive relationships showed a desire to protect their partners, maintain and maintain the relationships they had lived. desire to make sacrifices, hope to be appreciated by a partner, positive self-acceptance of violence, learning to improve self-ability and relationships. The results of this study can contribute in providing an overview of the meaning of love for men who experience dating violence.

Abstract

Public speaking is an important means of conveying messages, information, and ideas that every student has. However, until now there are still students who have difficulty speaking in public to explain their ideas to others. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of video self-modeling in overcoming public speaking anxiety in university students in Makassar City. This study used a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design. The subjects in this study were 8 students who had public speaking anxiety. The measuring instrument used in this study is a public speaking anxiety scale. The data analysis technique used was the Wilcoxon Test. The results showed that video self-modeling is effective in overcoming public speaking anxiety in college students in Makassar City (ρ=0.014). The implication of this research is that video self-modeling can be used as a method to reduce public speaking anxiety.
