Abstract

This study aimed to know the quality of undergraduate students' teaching competencies as teacher candidates. The subjects of this study were 54 teachers of 32 vocational schools. The data was obtained from the Educational Practice Program (EPP) in Vocational High School (VHS) using online questionnaires via Google Form. This study used a quantitative descriptive approach with survey research. Data were analyzed using normality tests and product-moment correlation analysis. The results indicated that the undergraduate students' competencies as candidate teachers were more dominant in social competency than personal, pedagogical, and professional competencies. Each competency had a highly strong relationship with others so that there was a significant attachment. Therefore, the undergraduate students as candidate teachers need to develop competencies to improve their quality in EPP. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas kompetensi mengajar mahasiswa sebagai calon guru. Subyek penelitian ini adalah 54 guru dari 32 Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Data diperoleh dari mata pelajaran pada Program Praktek Pendidikan di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) dengan menggunakan angket melalui Google Form. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian survey. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas dan analisis korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi mahasiswa sebagai calon guru lebih dominan pada kompetensi sosial dibandingkan kompetensi kepribadian, pedagogik, dan profesional. Setiap kompetensi memiliki hubungan yang sangat kuat dengan yang lain sehingga terjadi keterikatan yang signifikan. Oleh karena itu, mahasiswa sebagai calon guru perlu meningkatkan kompetensi untuk meningkatkan kualitasnya di EPP.

Abstract

This study aims to validate the analog input learning module of programmable logic controller (PLC). This module was developed using the OMRON CP1H PLC type which has analog input and analog output configurations. Scientific studies on the quality standards of learning modules are the basis for the development of this instrument. The content validity test was carried out by evaluation experts, while media and material experts evaluated the printed media and PLC material aspects. The results of the study showed an assessment of the media side with an average score of the format aspect of 14.5, the organizational aspect of 27.5, the shape and size of the letters of 13.0, and the consistency aspect of 29.5 which was categorized as "Very Eligible", while the average score of the attractiveness aspect was 22.0 and the space aspect of 12.5 was categorized as "Eligible". The assessment results from the material side with an average score of the self-instruction aspect of 57.0, the adaptive aspect of 6.5, and the user-friendly aspect of 14.0 which is categorized as "Very feasible", while the average score of the self-contained aspect of 13.5 and the stand-alone aspect of 6.5 is categorized as "Eligible". This module is considered feasible for learning PLC analog input with satisfactory assessment results.

Abstract

Cold storage yang baik harus memiliki suhu rendah dan stabil dalam pendistribusian udara dingin agar produk yang disimpan terjaga kualitasnya dan dapat tercapainya extended shelf life dari produk yang disimpan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan menganalisa sistem otomasi pendingin di cold storage yang terdiri dari cold room dan ruangan air blast freezer. Ruangan cold room dirancang agar memiliki output temperatur sebesar -20oC. Sedangkan ruangan air blast freezer dirancang agar memiliki output temperatur sebesar -40oC dengan temperatur produk yang diharapkan sebesar -18 oC. Penelitian ini menggunakan HOBO temperature data logger sebagai alat bantu untuk mengukur dan mencatat suhu secara berkala. Dari hasil pengamatan dan analisis, didapatkan temperatur ruangan cold room dapat tercapai di suhu -18 oC sampai dengan -20 oC dan temperatur ruangan air blast freezer dapat tercapai di suhu -35 oC sampai dengan -40 oC dalam waktu pendinginan selama 6 - 8 jam. Temperatur produk dapat tercapai di suhu -15 oC sampai dengan -18 oC pada ruangan air blast freezer, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa perancangan sistem otomasi pendingin di ruangan cold storage dapat bekerja dengan baik.
