Abstract

Banyak mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan dalam problem-solving karena mereka tidak mengetahui konsep yang mendasari masalah/soal. Pada umumnya mahasiswa menyelesaikan masalah matematika dengan sekedar fokus pada formula/rumus dan menyubtitusikan bilangan ke dalam formula tersebut tanpa memperhatikan prinsip yang relevan maupun strategi yang tepat. Akibatnya, mahasiswa tidak dapat menemukan solusi yang tepat.  Untuk mengatasi hal ini, diberikan scaffolding pada mahasiswa dalam aktivitas problem-solving.  Sehingga, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memperoleh gambaran menyeluruh tentang bagaimana scaffolding membantu mahasiswa mengatasi kesulitan dalam problem-solving. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut digunakan metode design-research. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa scaffolding yang diberikan membantu mahasiswa menemukan dan mengaplikasikan konsep/prinsip yang relevan, memfasilitasi mahasiswa melakukan refleksi terhadap strategi penyelesaian, dan mahasiswa dapat menentukan solusi yang tepat melalui tahapan problem-solving.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengembangkan bahan ajar struktur aljabar I dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman matematis mahasiswa (2) mengembangkan bahan ajar struktur aljabar I dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pembuktian matematis mahasiswa dan (3) mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman matematis mahasiswa setelah memperoleh pembelajaran dengan menggunakan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan. (4) mengetahui kemampuan pembuktian matematis mahasiswa setelah memperoleh pembelajaran dengan menggunakan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development approach dengan menggunakan model 4-D (Four- D Models). Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Universitas KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah yang mengambil matakuliah struktur aljabar I pada semester genap tahun akademik 2017/2018 yang terdiri atas satu kelas. Data dianalisis melalui perpaduan deskriptif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) & (2) bahan ajar struktur aljabar I yang telah disusun tergolong valid baik dari segi kecermatan isi, ketercernaan, penggunaan bahasa, maupun perwajahan, dengan beberapa catatan perbaikan, (3 & 4) penggunaan bahan ajar struktur aljabar dapat mengembangkan kemampuan pemahaman dan pembuktian matematis sebesar 29,75% dan 18,84%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki dua tujuan, di antaranya tujuan umum dan tujuan khusus. Tujuan umum: (1) Untuk mengetahui secara dekat keadaan pribadi mahasiswa yang mempunyai permasalahan, (2) Sebagai pertimbangan untuk menemukan jalan keluar (solusi) bagi kasus yang dihadapi mahasiswa. Tujuan khusus: (1) Untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesulitan belajar mahasiswa pada mata pelajaran matematika, (2) Untuk memecahkan masalah dan menetapkan jalan pemecahan yang paling tepat terhadap masalah atau kesulitan yang dihadapi mahasiswa dalam memahami matakuliah matematika khususnya, (3) Untuk memperluas wawasan tentang penanganan masalah mahasiswa di universitas KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah, (4) Untuk bekal di masa mendatang dalam menata kehidupan dan mempersiapkan diri sebagai calon pendidik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian studi kasus dan metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif eksploratif data kualitatif yaitu menggali data selengkap-lengkapnya dari mahasiswa yang dijadikan obyek penelitian sesuai dengan permasalahan yang dijadikan dalam studi kasus ini. Data kualitatif ini disusun secara terperinci dengan mengambil keterangan latar belakang individu dan kondisi keluarga.Teknik Pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah:wawancara, observasi dan angket. Adapun hasil dari penelitian berupa diagnosis kesulitan belajar yang meliputi analisis data diri mahasiswa, beberapa faktor-faktor penyebab dan cara mengatasinya, faktor intelektual, faktor kependidikan, lingkungan keluarga, ligkungan sosial (teman dan sahabat).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe character education in the Mathematics Education department at the University of KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah. This research is a qualitative research with the stages in this research are collecting problems, determining research objectives, concluding literature, collecting data, analyzing data, collecting conclusions / verification. The results of this research are the Department of Mathematics Education at the University of KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah has implemented character education in all academic activities that have been carried out in teaching and learning activities, student activities and community service activities

Abstract

Character education is a student's personality to become a better person. Both among schools and among the community, and these students also need to be taught to have good morals in the future. During the pandemic, the current implementation of learning is carried out online so that students will not miss lessons. Character education in online learning at MA Nizhamiyyah has a vision and mission, one of which is to create superior students in the fields of science and technology, to create superior students in the fields of skills, creativity, independence and to educate superior students in the fields of faith and piety. This study aims to describe the character education in learning from MA Nizhamiyah in the subject of Fiqh. The research method used in this research is a qualitative method with data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews, documentation. The results of this study indicate that character education in online learning in Fiqh subjects at MA Nizhamiyyah has been implemented by fiqh teachers ranging from religious values, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work and creativity. While the implementation of online learning in fiqh subjects at MA Nizhamiyah starts from the quality of learning, alignment with learning objectives, feedback, online learning techniques and learning facilities. This research can be useful for teachers to add references on how to build character for students. The benefits of research for students are to provide knowledge and insight to them about the importance of character education for themselves as learners.

Abstract

The situation in Indonesia is currently being hit by the spread of COVID-19. A number of policies were immediately taken by the government to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19. One of the policies in the education sector taken by the government related to the COVID-19 case is Online Learning for students. Furthermore, the ability to understand mathematics is also important for students to have, because this ability is a prerequisite for someone to have mathematical problem solving abilities. This study aims to make readers aware of the effect of online learning on students' mathematical understanding abilities. This study uses a survey method directly to students in schools with quantitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques used are test and non-test techniques. The instrument used in this study was a test of the mathematical understanding ability of 10th grade high school students and a questionnaire questionnaire. The subjects of this study were the 10th grade students of MA Al-I'dadiyyah Bahrul Ulum as many as 27 students. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, the effect of online learning on mathematical understanding ability shows a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, then o is rejected and is accepted, and the study concludes that online learning affects the mathematical understanding ability of 10th grade students of MA Al-I'dadiyyah Bahrul Ulum on matrix addition and subtraction operations.

Abstract

The current Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted the conventional learning process which had been done face-to-face. So a solution is needed to answer this problem. Online learning is one alternative that can overcome this problem. The purpose of this study was to determine the mathematical communication skills of students at State High School 3 Jombang, which during this pandemic had an online learning process. The subjects of this study were students of class 10th MAN 3 Jombang. The data were collected by giving a test in the form of 3 essay questions, giving a questionnaire and an interview. The analysis was carried out using the One Sample T-test technique and the results showed that the t-count values ​​in the description test and questionnaire were 35,327 and 102,384, respectively, with a significance of 0.000. The significance value shows 0.000 < 0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a significant effect of online learning on the mathematical communication skills of class 10th MAN 3 Jombang

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat melalui Pelatihan Berwirausaha Dalam Bidang Kuliner Dengan Menggunakan Modal Dibawah Rp. 100.000 memiliki tujuan sebagai berikut. (1) Meningkatkan kemampuan dan pemahaman msyarakat terhadap memulai usaha tidak selalu menggunakan modal yang besar. (2) Meningkatkan dan mengembangkan kemampuan masyarakat dalam membuat produk untuk mendapatkan omset 100-200 %. (3) Membantu mengurangi masyarakat yang berhenti bekerja sementara untuk mendapatkan pemasukan tetap. Metode pendekatan untuk pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini meliputi metode pelatihan. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini adalah menggunakan metode pelatihan melalui bentuk sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan secara intensif sampai dapat membuat 3 produk. Melalui kegiatan pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh pihak masyarakat dan bermanfaat untuk kedepannya. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat dapat disimpulkan hal-hal sebagai berikut. (1) Memberikan tambahan wawasan dan pengetahuan serta pengalaman untuk masyarakat khususnya pararemaja perempuan untuk menghasilkan sebuah produk untuk mendapatkan omset untuk bertahan hidup. (2) Meningkatan keterampilan para remaja perempuan. (3) Meningkatan kerjasama para remaja perempuan.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design appropriate character education-based teaching materials to help students learn and train math skills. This research uses Research and Development method adapted in ADDIE model development. The subjects of this study were grade VIII of students at MTs Al-Ihsan Kalikejambon school year 2020/2021. The data collection techniques are interviews and questionnaires. Researchers designed a teaching material in the form of teaching materials based on character education. The results of this study showed that (1) Validation of character education-based teaching materials developed by expert assessments obtained a percentage of 80.4% with a fairly valid category. (2) The practicality of character education-based teaching materials by the assessment of math teachers obtains a percentage of 83.63% with a very practical category. (3) The response of students to teaching materials based on character education gets a percentage of 82.94% with a very practical category. Based on the results of the above study, the researchers concluded that character education-based teaching materials are declared valid and practical based on the assessment of experts and learners, so that character education-based teaching materials are eligible for use in mathematics learning.
