Abstract

Abstract: Braveness in asking question is needed in learning process. By asking question, student is trained to think, to develop information and knowledge, and with frequently asking question, it can increase braveness and confident. However, many students experienced anxiousness in asking question, one of the influences is psychology aspect that is self-confident. This research is purposed to (1) describe students’ self-confident, (2) describe student’s anxiousness while asking question in classroom, and (3) see the relationship between student’s self-confident and anxiety while asking question in classroom. This research is using quantitative approach type descriptive correlation. This research is conducted in VIII and IX class SMPN 13 Padang. Research finding reveal that (1) student’s self-confident tend to to reside in high category, (2) student’s anxiousness while asking question in classroom tend to to reside in low category, (3) there is a significant relationship between students’s self-confident and anxiety while asking question in classroom with high level of correlation.  Keywords: self-confident, anxiety in asking question

Abstract

It was assumed that students who had self-confidence would be able to complete their tasks and vise versa. In fact, there were still some students had less self-confidence in completing their tasks. This researchwas aimed at describing the students’ self-confidence at SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Sikaping in completing their task. This was a descriptive research whose population was 592 students. From those, 86 students were taken as the sample. The data was collected by using questionnaire. The result of the research revealed that the students’ self-confidence at SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Sikaping was in good category. To increase students’s self confidence in completing thein tasks better, the guidance and counseling teachers give them information service, team guidance service, and individual counseling.

Abstract

In motivation in study, mental health plays an important role. If someone has healthy mental health, the students will also be able to highly motivation in study. In fact there are students who still sickmental health as students are difficult to be expressive freely, self acceptance, self esteem and safety feeling that affect the motivation in study of students in terms of the studying preparation, learning proccess and follow up the study. This study aims to reveal how the image of mental health, student’s motivation in study and how the relationship between mental health and student’s motivation in study. This study used a descriptive quantitative approach correlational. Research conducted on the students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri Sintuk Toboh Gadang. The research findings revealed that 1) the emotional intelligence of students in middle category, 2) social interaction of students in middle category, 3) There is a significant and positive relationship between emotional intelligence and social interaction of students with the level of correlation is quite strong.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum optimalnya pelaksanaan bimbingan karir di sekolah. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi siswa tentang pelaksanaan bimbingan karir yang diberikan oleh guru BK di sekolah meliputi layanan informasi, layanan konseling individual, dan layanan bimbingan kelompok. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskripitif. Temuan penelitian adalah persespsi siswa kelas XI dan XII di SMA N 1 Padang pada umumnya berada pada kategori netral, namun kecenderungan persepsi siswa yaitu negatif.

Abstract

This research is classified as  descriptive quantitative research. The research sample are 80 students SMPN7 of Padang. The findings this research: students' perceptions about the professional competence of teachers in terms of guidance and counseling master the concepts and practical assessment to understand the student’s conditions, needs, and problems are in either category.

Abstract

Family is the first environment which affects the children’s learning activity. This research aims to find how is the difference of role of complete family and the role of in complete family on learning activity of students of SMAN 1 Painan when they are at home. This is a comparative descriptive research. The subjects are students of grade XI at SMAN 1 Painan in year 2012/2013 among 60 students as the sample. The data gathering uses questionnaire as the tool. The data is analyzed by using percentage analysis method and “t test”. The research finding show that (1) complete family has good role on students learning activity, (2) an in complete family has quite good role on students learning activity, (3) there is a significant difference of role of complete and incomplete family on the students learning activity in the number of percentage.
