Abstract

In this paper, the authors propose solutions to increase the added value of coffee in the form of the process of making the process of making coffee using appropriate technology adoption. This paper uses qualitative methods of locational survey and literature study. Survey activities are conducted in the form of interviews and observations. The team conducted interviews with coffee farming communities in the area and observed the conditions of coffee farming. The literature study was conducted by synthesizing literature reviews and continued by formulating the theory and principles of appropriate technology in the context of local agriculture in Sukawangi Village, Sumedang Regency, West Java. In this paper, the authors describe the solution proposals related to the problems of coffee farmers in Sukawangi, Sumedang. Two suggestions for increasing the value added of coffee beans are by using appropriate technology adoption. With both of these solutions, it is expected that the quality of coffee plantation in Sumedang can be increased and can be marketed in both domestic and international markets. As a result, the welfare of farmers in Sumedang will increase.

Abstract

A recommendation system is one of the most important things in today’s technology. It can suggest products that match the user’s preferences. Many fields utilize this system, including e-commerce, using various algorithms. This paper used the matrix factorization-based algorithm, singular value decomposition (SVD), to make a recommendation system based on users’ similarities. Afterward, we implement the model against the ModCloth Amazon dataset. The results imply that the SVD algorithm yields the best accuracy compared to other matrix factorization-based algorithms with root mean square error (RMSE) of 1.055586. Then, we optimized the SVD algorithm by changing the hyperparameters of the algorithm to generate better accuracy and yield a model with an RMSE value of 1.041784.

Abstract

Uji terima dilakukan atas tiga konstruk, yaitu persepsi tampilan web dashboard keseluruhan, usefulness, dan ease of use.

Abstract

In recent years, the Internet of Things (IoT) trend has been adopted very quickly. The rapid growth of IoT has increased the need for physical access control systems (ACS) for IoT devices, especially for IoT devices containing confidential data or other potential security risks. This research focused on many-to-many ACS, a type of ACS in which many resource-owners and resource-users are involved in the same system. This type of system is advantageous in that the user can conveniently access resources from different resource-owners using the same system. However, such a system may create a situation where parties involved in the system have their data leaked because of the large number of parties involved in the system. Therefore, ‘isolation’ of the parties involved is needed. This research simulated the use of smart cards to access electric vehicle (EV) charging stations that implement an isolated many-to-many authentication scheme. Two ESP8266 MCUs, one RC522 RFID reader, and an LED represented an EV charging station. Each institute used a Raspberry Pi Zero W as the web and database server. This research also used VPN and HTTPS protocols to isolate each institute’s assets. Every component of the system was successfully implemented and tested functionally.

Abstract

Efficient anomaly detection in network traffic is essential for securing modern digital infrastructures. This study presents a comprehensive comparative analysis of six feature selection methods—including Mutual Information, Recursive Feature Elimination (RFE), LASSO, Random Forest Importance, ANOVA, and Chi-square—and seven machine learning classifiers on the NF-UQ-NIDS-v2 dataset. Experimental results demonstrate that advanced feature selection methods, particularly Mutual Information and RFE, combined with ensemble classifiers such as Random Forest and XGBoost, achieve superior detection performance. A consensus analysis reveals that features like protocol type, packet length, and flow duration are consistently most informative for anomaly detection. These findings provide practical guidance for designing accurate and efficient intrusion detection systems in high-dimensional network environments.
