Abstract

The aim of this research is to know: (1) the economic conditions of the community forestry (HKm) farmersseen from the income and the poverty level; (2) the social conditions of the HKm farmersseen from the education level and the behavior changes; and (3) the change of social economic conditions of the HKm farmers in 2008-2015. This researchis conducted from April to July in 2015 and located in four HKm groups of Rinjani protected forest area (RTK I). The data collection is conducted by the interviews with questionnaireto 102 HKm farmers using the Slovin’s formula with 10% of significant degree.This is implemented in descriptive analysis. The research result shows that: (1) the average income of the HKm farmers is Rp1,739,677 per month/ha and 59.8% of farmers are above the poverty line; (2) the farmers are increasingly aware of education (there are only 5.9% members of farmer’s family who are uneducated) and the lack offirewood utilization (there are only 23.5% farmers who are still using the firewood); and (3) in the period of 2008 to 2015 the average income of the farmers per month increases at 52,03%; the poverty level decreases at 46.5%, and there is a behavior change in whichthe dependence on the forest resources in the form of firewood decreases

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan kasus di DAS Serang Kabupaten Kulonprogo D.I. Yogyakarta. Bertujuan untuk menilai sebaran spasial jasa lingkungan untuk pengaturan tata air dan banjir sebagai dasar untuk Pengelolaan kelestarian sumberdaya air DAS di DAS Serang, Kabupaten Kulonprogo D.I. Yogyakarta. dengan metode dengan pendekatan jasa lingkungan menggunakan dua variable penaksir yaitu penggunaan lahan dan ecoregion. Masing-masing variable dinilai jasa lingkungannya terhadap pengaturan tata air dan banjir, yang kemudian disintesis menggunakan metode AHP menghasilkan nilai koefisien jasa lingkungan pengaturan tata air dan banjir. Dari nilai koefisien tersebut diolah dan dianalisis dengan teknis GIS menghasilkan sebaran spasial nilai jasa lingkungan pengaturan tata air dan banjir yang kemudian dilakukan pembagian kelas menjadi 5 kelas jasa lingkungan pengaturan tata air dan banjir yaitu kelas sangat tinggi, tinggi, sedang, rendah dan sangat rendah. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: untuk DAS Serang Kabupaten Kulonprogo D.I. Yogyakarta pada daerah hulu berpontensi sebagai jasa pengaturan tata air dan banjir. Terutama di Kecamatan Kokap dengan persentase luasan jasa lingkungan pengaturan tata air dengan kelas sangat tinggi sebesar 85% dari luas Kecamatan Kokap. Sedangkan untuk etika lingkungan DAS serang Kab Kulonprogo D.I. Yogyakarta terdapat tiga kelas etika lingkungan di wilayah DAS yaitu untuk wialayah Hulu mempunya kelas Etika Lingkungan Rendah, Wilayah tengah kelas etika lingkungan sedang dan wilayah hilir kelas etika lingkungan.

Abstract

Wilayah kepesisiran Tuban memiliki sumberdaya pesisir yang melimpah. Masyarakat pesisir Tuban memanfaatkannya untuk perikanan, wisata, dan permukiman. Berbagai macam pemanfaatan tersebut menimbulkan terjadinya kerusakan lingkungan, sehingga dipandang perlu untuk menerapkan etika lingkungan dalam pengelolaan wilayah kepesisiran Tuban. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi profil wilayah kepesisiran Tuban, mengkaji dinamika pantai di Tuban, mengkaji perilaku masyarakat terhadap wilayah kepesisiran Tuban, dan merumuskan penerapan etika lingkungan dalam pengelolaan wilayah kepesisiran Tuban. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, pengukuran, wawancara, dan potret lapangan. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif dan skoring. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa wilayah kepesisiran Tuban di daerah penelitian memiliki dua jenis pantai, yaitu pantai berbatu dan berpasir. Keempat daerah penelitian memiliki hidrologi yang tawar. Keanekaragaman flora dan fauna pesisir paling tinggi di Desa Panyuran, sedangkan paling rendah di Desa Karangagung. Dinamika pantai di daerah penelitian yaitu erosi, akresi, dan keadaan seimbang. Erosi pantai terjadi di Desa Karangagung dan Kelurahan Kutorejo. Akresi terjadi di Desa Panyuran. Keadaan seimbang terjadi di Kelurahan Sukolilo. Nilai perilaku masyarakat terhadap wilayah kepesisiran masih tergolong rendah. Etika lingkungan dalam pengelolaan wilayah kepesisiran Tuban dilakukan dengan penerapan paradigma biosentrisme dan ekosentrisme.

Abstract

Land can be said to be fertile seen from Biological factors. One of the Biological factors determining soil fertility is the population of bacteria in the soil. The purpose of this study was to calculate the population and describe the bacterial morphology of the Kampar Riau Sumatera Watershed. The method used in the this study is the observation and Coloni Counter method. Peat soil sampling was carried out at 8 peat soil points along the Kampar Riau Sumatera Watershed. Isolates were carried out using agar nutrient media and were fertilized for 24-48 hours at 370C. Macroscopic and microscopic observations were carried out to determine bacterial morphology. This research result obtained 16 isolates from 8 sample locations. The highest number of bacterial populations in the village of Kuala Terusan was 51,55 x 104 CFU/Unit and the lowest was found in Meranti Village with 12,93 x 104. Identified bacterial morfoligical characteristics are irregular, round, round with embossed edges and threaded threads. Cell shape 2 which is stem and round the catalase test are all positive

Abstract

Terjadinya Abrasi dan Akresi di Muara Sungai Pemali Menandakan Pesisir Kabupaten Brebes sangat dinamis, Dimana penggunaan lahan menjadi sangat kompleks terkait dengan dinamika perubahan pesisir. Aktivitas di daratan dan lautan yang berlangsung dalam jangka waktu tertentu akan membentuk jenis pesisir yang berbeda-beda tergantung pada proses genetik dan material penyusunnya. Sehingga tiap tipologi pesisir akan memberikan ciri-ciri pada bentanglahan dan berbagai macam sumberdaya yang ada di wilayah pesisir tersebut. Bentuk pengelolaan dan pemanfaatannya pun akan berbeda disesuaikan dengan bentuk tipologi wilayah kepesisiran yang berkembang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tipologi wilayah pesisir, menganalisis potensi dan permasalahan hingga merumuskan alternatif pemecahan permasalahan di Muara Sungai Pemali Kabupaten Brebes. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis deskriptif, deskriptif-kuantitatif, deskriptif-komparatif dan metode analisis korelatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan tipologi fisik pesisir daerah penelitian merupakan area pesisir pengendapan laut dan pesisir pengendapan darat. Tipologi yang terbentuk memiliki potensi dan permasalahan sehingga dirumuskan alternatif pengelolaan berdasarkan permasalahan. Rumusan alternatif pengelolaannya antara lain melakukan rehabilitasi Mangrove, membangun struktur pelindung pantai, membuat peraturan daerah tentang sepadan pantai, melakukan inventarisasi kepemilikan lahan, penetapan kawasan lindung dan konservasi, serta melakukan pengelolaan lahan secara menyeluruh di wilayah pesisir pantai.

Abstract

As a natural component, land is considered to be very essential factor of watershed system, as well as plant and human life. In fact, improper land using leads to land degradation that causes negative effect to watershed ecosystem. Therefore, the right land management system is needed. The objective of the research is to study land degradation carried by social activities in Tulis Watershed. The parameters under study were social-economic, land management, and biophysical in Tulis Watershed. The parameters were obtained by using observation and document study. Theoretic analysis was done to know relation between social activity in land using and land degradation of Tulis Watershed. Social theories were used as basic theory in structure and society’s behavior concept in land management. Meanwhile, land degradation theories were applied as basic theory in analyzing land-use system. Land use system of Potatoes monoculture plantation system used by most people in Tulis Watershed increased land degradation. Therefore, proper land management and social norms obedience were expected be able to decrease land degradation, so they benefited the societies living in social, economy, and environment. In other words, land management system had to assure sustainable watershed ecosystem and increase society’s welfare in Tulis Watershed. Abstract

Remote sensing imagery Landsat-8 is one image that has a good temporal resolution; in addition to the availability of data, this image can be obtained free of charge. Land cover type SCS-CN is part of a unit of land that affects runoff. The use of medium resolution imagery in reducing the SCS-CN land use type is considered relatively difficult, and it yields less good accuracy. Limitations on multispectral classification only rely on facts derived from spectral reflection, so that the two data are the same since different characteristic results are not so good. This study aims to determine the accuracy of precision medium-resolution imagery in reducing parameter land use type SCS-CN by using the knowledge-based analysis. The importance of understanding the landscape-ecology can be used to assist the translation from land cover in the form of land use. Vegetation factors and ecosystems are often used to generate metrics-based landscape. Accuracy from the interpretation of remote sensing image medium-resolution is obtained by 85.17%. Therefore, Landsat-8, in addition to easy retrieval of data, can also be used to identify the type of land cover SCS-CN, which is useful for the interests of surface water resources.

Abstract

The research aimed at studying social capital role in land degradation solving of Tulis watershed. The parameters under observation were social capital (trust, norm, and social networking), social-economic condition, and land management in Tulis watershed. The parameters were achieved by using data triangulation principle. The analysis used was Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The model used five variables, which were social capital (X1), society structure (X2), land using conflict (Y1), land management strategy (Y2), and land degradation (Y3). Perspective of social capital theory could be used to explain the interaction between society socio-cultural behaviors and land degradation of Tulis watershed. The model proved that society structure with effective social capital, low conflict in land using, and good land management strategy afforded to decrease land degradation of Tulis watershed.

Abstract

This research intends to continue previous research that skipped the implementation stage of ADDIE model in developing teaching modules that are integrated with Islamic values, especially for English material. The implementation phase in this research aims to determine the practicality of the module that has been developed. This research used explanatory mixed method design, where the quantitative data are collected first and are more heavily weighted by the qualitative data. The sample of this research is the eighth-grade students (class 8B, 8C, 8D) at MTs Madani Pao-Pao with total are 89 students. The score results of the practicality checklist shows that the module is categorized as practical, which means the module can improve student’s understanding of the material that has been taught, and the module can be used as a source in the learning process. Therefore, it implies that the module can be used as a learning media in learning process and can be useful for teachers, students, and other people who study English, especially for greeting card, recount text, and describing person and thing material.
