Abstract

The purpose of this study is to reveal the contribution of the discipline of learning and school environment on learning outcomes KKPI subjects in class X TKJ SMK Negeri 1 Bendahara. This type of research is descriptive correlation. The population in this study were all students of class X TKJ SMK Negeri 1 Bendahara, consists of two classes totaling 66 people. Random sampling technique that is proportional random sampling. Data obtained from the student learning outcomes KKPI subject teachers of SMK Negeri 1 Bendahara. While data on the discipline of learning and the school environment  collected  through  questionnaires using likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data was analyzed using statistical methods with the help of software Microsoft Excel 2007. The result showed: (1) Discipline learning and  school  environment together contributed  24.89% to the learning outcomes of students of class X TKJ SMK Negeri 1 Bendahara; (2) Discipline learn contributed  10.24%  to the learning outcomes of students of class X TKJ SMK Negeri 1 Bendahara; (3) The school environment contributed 10.18% to the learning outcomes of students of class X TKJ SMK Negeri 1 Bendahara. So it can be concluded that the Disciplinary learning and school environment contribute to the learning outcomes, the higher the better discipline of learning and school environment, the learning outcomes will be better. Keywords   :    Discipline of learning, school environment, Learning Outcomes, Descriptive correlation, Proportional random sampling.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning modules and produce effective modules in cooperative learning-based mechanical engineering drawing courses. The type of research used is development research, which we are more familiar with by the term Research & Development (R&D). This study uses the 4D model (four-D models). The 4D development procedures are Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. The results of this study indicate that the difference in pretest and posttest learning outcomes is an increase of 19.4%, and seen from the aspect of learning activity, it is stated to be very high with an achievement percentage of 81.6%, it can be said that this development module is very effective in its application in engineering drawing courses machine. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that the development of cooperative learning-based learning modules effectively improves student study results. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul pembelajaran dan menghasilkan modul yang efektif pada mata kuliah gambar teknik mesin berbasis cooperative learniang. Jenis penelitian yang dipakai adalah penelitian pengembangan yang lebih kita kenal dengan istilah Research & Development (R&D). Penelitian ini menggunakan model 4D (four-D models). Prosedur pengembangan 4D yaitu Define (pendefinisian), Design (Perancangan), Develop (Pengembangan) dan Disseminate (Penyebaran). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan hasil belajar pretest dan posttest terdapat peningkatan 19,4%, serta dilihat dari aspek aktivitas belajar dinyatakan sangat tinggi dengan persentase pencapaian 81,6%, maka dapat dikatakan modul pengembangan ini sangat efektif penerapanya di mata kuliah gambar teknik mesin. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan modul pembelajaran berbasis cooperative learning ini efektif untuk untuk meningkatkan hasil studi peserta didik.

Abstract

This research intends to identify the eighth grade students’ mastery of verb tenses in simple present, simple past, and present continuous and the factors that contributed to the eighth grade success or failure in mastering the verb tenses at SMP Angkasa Lanud Sutan Sjahrir Padang. This research used mixed-method research design where interview and grammar test about verb tenses were applied to collect the data. The finding showed that most of the students’ mastery of verb tenses were categorized as failing. that teaching methods and materials, motivation, lack of exposure to English outside the classroom, and students’ language background considered as the main factors that contributed to students’ failure in mastering verb tenses. On the other hand, the key factors that contributed to students’ success in mastering verb tenses can be seen on the students’ much exposure to English outside the classroom, motivation, assessment, and students’ language background which have learned English earlier than the others. This research is expected to English language teaching and learning process in SMP Angkasa Lanud Sutan Sjahrir Padang.

Abstract

Low creative thinking skills in automotive engineering learning can limit students’ ability to generate, adapt, and elaborate technical solutions. This study described the implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and examined changes in students’ creative thinking skills in the Fundamentals of Automotive Engineering course. A Classroom Action Research design was used with 21 Automotive Engineering students and conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected using observation sheets on creative thinking indicators and analyzed descriptively based on creativity categories. In the pre-cycle condition, most students were classified as fairly creative (52.38%), while only 4.76% were very creative. After PBL implementation in Cycle II, the creative category increased to 47.62% and the very creative category increased to 28.57%, while the least creative category decreased to 0%. These findings suggest that PBL can support the development of students’ creative thinking in automotive engineering learning.

Abstract

Low student engagement and modest Computer-Aided Design (CAD) learning outcomes remain challenges in automotive engineering education. This study examined the implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) to support student engagement and CAD learning achievement in an Automotive Engineering course. A Classroom Action Research design was conducted in two cycles comprising planning, action, observation, and reflection. The participants were 25 Automotive Engineering students in the 2025/2026 even semester. Data were collected through observation, pre-test, post-test, and documentation, and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that learning mastery increased from 72% in Cycle I to 88% in Cycle II, while the average score increased from 70.04 to 78.48. Classroom observations also indicated more active participation in discussion, problem-solving, group work, and presentations. These findings suggest that PBL can support CAD learning achievement and student engagement in this classroom action context.

Abstract

Capaian pembelajaran merupakan output dari kegiatan pembelajaran yang ditentukan melalui kegiatan pengukuran atau evaluasi, yang bertujuan mengukur tingkat pencapaian yang telah diraih. Sementara itu, keaktifan peserta didik merujuk pada keterlibatan atau kesibukan mereka dalam proses pembelajaran. Keaktifan ini muncul dalam berbagai bentuk kebutuhan belajar, namun tingkatnya dapat berbeda-beda bergantung pada bentuk kegiatan yang dilakukan, isi pelajaran yang sedang dikaji, dan sasaran yang hendak diraih. Rendahnya keaktifan peserta didik juga akan berdampak kepada hasil belajarnya itulah yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini yang telihat pada mata kuliah Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja (K3). Tujuan penelitian adalah meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada mata kuliah Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja (K3). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa untuk Persentase keaktifan belajar terjadi peningkatan yaitu siklus 1 pertemuan I (45 %), siklus 1 Pertemuan II (51,33%), Siklus 2 Pertemuan I (61,66%), Siklus 2 pertemuan II (73,33%). Begitu juga dengan persentase hasil belajar yaitu pratindakan (64,08%), siklus 1 (70,04%), dan siklus 2 (77,36%). Dapat disimpulkan adanya peningkatan keaktifan dan hasil belajar mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan yang dapat dilihat pada siklus 2

Abstract

Mekanisme pembelajaran dalam unsur pendidikan seharusnya terselenggara secara terstruktur baik itu menarik, merangsang, menyenangkan, dan menantang yang mendorong partisipasi aktif dari peserta didik dan memfasilitasi untuk berani berinisiatif, berkreativitas, serta kemandirian yang cocok dengan minat, bakat, pertumbuhan raga serta psikologis dari peserta didik. Berkenaan membangun keterampilan berpikir kreatif diperlukan adanya ke inovatifan model pembelajaran. Model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan berpikir kreatif salah satu adalah pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Pembelajaran dalam mata kuliah Teknik Pengelasan seharusnya dapat memenuhi dan menerapkan pendekatan saintifik dalam proses pelaksanaan perkuliahan. Namun, yang terjadi di lapangan adalah belum terlaksana secara maksimal penerapan pendekatan saintifik dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan perkuliahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa berpikir kreatif mahasiswa melalui penerapan Project Based Learning pada mata kuliah Teknik Pengelasan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Data penelitian diperoleh dari analisis lembar observasi produk dengan skala berpikir kreatif (Creative Thinking Scale/CTS). Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik persentase dan diolah secara deskriptif. Analisis deskriptif dilakukan untuk mengukur peningkatan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa dengan diterapkannya model pembelajaran berbasis proyek terhadap hasil angket yang ditujukan kepada peserta didik. Prasiklus didapat kreativitas peserta didik berada dikelompok cukup kreatif, kemudian pada siklus I dan II kreativitas peserta didik berada dikelompok kreatif. Maka dari itu, kreativitas peserta didik mengalami peningkatan dengan diterapkannya pembelajaran berbasis proyek.

Abstract

Bahan ajar ialah salah satu media yang digunakan oleh pengajar/pendidik dalam mendidik/mengajar. Bahan ajar juga berfungsi memudahkan Aktivitas pendidikan dan penerapan pelaksanaan pendidikan supaya jadi lebih efisien serta efektif. Mutu pendidikan CAD bisa ditingkatkan dengan merancang bahan ajar yang valid, yang pada akhirnya bisa memfasilitasi mahasiswa dalam tingkatkan keahlian berfikir kritis serta literasi CAD. Terdapat kasus Pada mata kuliah CAD yaitu rendahnya hasil belajar mahasiswa yaitu dengan nilai <70 (40.83%). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan suatu bahan ajar yang menunjang kegiatan belajar mata kuliah CAD berbasis Model Explicit Instruction. Bahan ajar didesain supaya terjadi peningkatan terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini dikategorikan dalam riset pengembangan. Mengadopsi model pengembangan 4D (Four-D) Thaigarajan. Pada riset ini dicoba 4 tahapan pengembangan, yakni: define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), develop (pengembangan), serta disseminate (penyebaran). Instrumen yang dipakai adalah angket, yang berfungsi untuk mengevaluasi kelayakan bahan ajar supaya dapat diterapkan untuk bahan ajar pada mata kuliah CAD. Produk pengembangan bahan ajar membutuhkan validasi dalam rangka penilaian inovatif. Validasi bahan ajar didapatkan dari para subjek yang terdiri dari pakar modul, pakar media dan pakar Bahasa. Diperoleh hasil dari riset ini yakni 1) Validitas bahan ajar yang valid pada isi/konten dengan skor 0.8333 setelah itu aspek media dengan skor 0.81 serta pada aspek bahasa dengan skor 0.782, 2) Bersumber pada hasil riset ini, kita bisa simpulkan bahan ajar CAD berbasis model Explicit Instruction ini valid

Abstract

Automotive education as a field of vocational education emphasizes the development of psychomotor skills through authentic and industry oriented practical learning. However, practical instruction in automotive workshops is often dominated by conventional teacher centered approaches, resulting in limited student engagement and suboptimal skill development. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on improving the psychomotor skills of automotive engineering students in practical learning. A quasi experimental method with a pretest–posttest control group design was employed. The research sample consisted of two classes of automotive engineering students from the 2025 cohort, selected using purposive sampling as the experimental and control groups. Psychomotor skill data were collected using a performance-based assessment instrument covering work procedure accuracy, tool operation skills, occupational safety, and the quality of practical outcomes. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and an independent t-test with a significance level of a = 0.05. The results indicate that students who participated in Problem Based Learning achieved higher average psychomotor skill scores than those who received conventional instruction. Hypothesis testing confirmed a statistically significant difference between the two groups (t_calculated > t_table). These findings demonstrate that Problem-Based Learning is effective in enhancing students’ psychomotor skills through contextual problem-solving activities, active learning engagement, and meaningful hands-on practice. This study provides empirical evidence supporting the implementation of problem-based instructional models in automotive vocational education and offers practical implications for improving the quality of practice-based learning aligned with industry competency demands.
