Abstract

The education system is required to be able to follow the development of science and technology to prepare a generation that is ready to deal with the challenges of this era. The current curriculum is curriculum 2013. In curriculum 2013 students are required to be active and able to learn independently. The procurement of teaching materials at SMP Negeri 7 Padang is considered not to be able to support independent learning, especially during this online learning period. This study aims to produce science e-module for SMP/MTs based on a contextual approach on work and simple machines to valid and practical. Type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the Plomp model which consists of three stages, namely the preliminary research, the prototyping stage, and the assessment phase. The research subjects were 3 lecturers of Science Education, FMIPA UNP, teachers and students of SMP Negeri 7 Padang. The instrument used is a questionnaire of validity and practicality. The research data is processed using the kappa moment formula. Based on the results of data analysis, the results of the validity test, the results of the practicality test based on the teacher's response, and the practicality test based on the student's responses were 0.85, 0.87, and 0.83 with very high category. It can be concluded that the e-module for SMP/MTs based on a contextual approach on work and simple machines has been valid and practical for use in class VIII SMP/MTs.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic, the implementation of learning for the yellow, orange, and red zone areas is prohibited from face-to-face learning while the green zone area is allowed. Demanding teachers to make teaching materials that help students learn at home and at school. This study aims to produce teaching materials for Integrated Science Problem Based Learning models based on valid and practical local wisdom. This type of research using the Plomp model consists of three stages, namely: the initial investigation stage, the prototype formation stage and the assessment stage. The research subjects were 3 science education lecturers, FMIPA UNP, teachers and students of SMP N 03 Solok Selatan. The instruments used in this study were validation questionnaires and practical questionnaires. The data in this study used the momem kappa formula, the results of the validity test were 0.83 with a very high category, the practical results of students and teachers were obtained 0.84, 0.82 and 0.83 with a very high category. It can be concluded that the integrated science teaching materials using the Problem Based Learning model based on local wisdom are valid and practical to use in class VII SMP

Abstract

E-LKPD biotechnology topic intregrated with local wisdom based on scientific approach has been developed and analyzed the validity and practicality to assist the learning process. This research classified to research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE model. This research is limited to the development stage only. Research instrument used consisted of validity and practicality questionnaires. The subjects of this study were three lecturers of the Science Education department as validators, three science teachers as practicalists and six students of class IX of SMP Negeri 39 Padang as practicalists. The data in this study are primary data obtained from the results of validation and practicality questionnaires. Data were analyzed using Cohen's kappa formula. The results of the validity test of the E-LKPD obtained a value of 0.86 with a very high validity category in terms of aspects of the feasibility of content, language, presentation and graphics. The results of the E-LKPD practicality test were obtained from the teacher's response of 0.95 with a very high practicality category while the E-LKPD practicality test value obtained from the student responses was 0.82 with a very high practicality category in terms of ease of use, efficiency of learning time , and benefits

Abstract

The learning model is still teacher-centered and needs to use teaching materials that support the learning process, which causes students' critical thinking skills to be underdeveloped. One learning model that can improve students' critical thinking skills is a learning model that involves active and student-centered students is the guided inquiry learning model. The applied guided inquiry learning model must have supporting media and teaching materials. Teaching materials that are practical and operational in the guided inquiry learning model are scientific worksheets. This study aims to determine the effect of the guided inquiry learning model assisted by scientific worksheets on the critical thinking skills of class XI natural science students. This research method is quasi-experimental with a randomized control group-only design. The population of this research is class  XI natural science one of the Islamic senior high school in West Sumatra, Indonesia. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling technique in which the research results concentrated on critical thinking skills taken through critical thinking questions in the form of essays. The data in this study were analyzed using descriptive analysis and two average similarity tests.  Data analysis showed thatc ,Then a t-test was carried out with the results of the t-count test of 3.47 with t-table 1.99 indicating that t-count is outside the acceptance area of Ho, meaning that Hi is accepted, that is, there is a significant influence of the Scientific worksheet on students' critical thinking skills.
