Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan perilaku keterlibatan politik masyarakat Desa Gunung Tua Tonga dalam pemilihan kepala daerah (Bupati/Wakil Bupati) tahun 2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian kualitatif berupaya untuk memahami makna yang dilakukan sejumlah individu/kelompok berdasarkan masalah sosial. Dalam penelitian ini menggambarkan keterlibatan masyarakat Desa Gunung Tua Tonga dalam memberikan hak pilihnya pada pemilihan Bupati/Wakil Bupati tahun 2013. Sementara itu teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Lebih lanjut penentuan informan berdasarkan informan yang memiliki hak suara untuk memilih dan tidak memiliki hak suara. Analisa data melalui reduksi data, penyajian data serta kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa Perilaku pemilih pada pemilihan tersebut terkait dengan pertimbangan sosial-ekonomi, seperti kekerabatan, pendidikan dan uang. Sementara itu bentuk partisipasi politik yang dilakukan adalah secara pasif dan aktif. Dengan demikian bentuk pelibatan politik masyarakat diharapkan mampu demokrasi yang berkualitas.

This study aims to determine the responsiveness of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) serving the community in the administration of Population Administration at Medan Johor Sub-district office. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The location of this research is Medan Johor Sub-district Office on Jln. Cipta No. 16 Pangkalan Mashhur, Medan Johor. Techniques of collection the data through observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique carried out provides a clear picture of the research problem to be discussed and subsequently the data is presented qualitatively by reducing data, displaying data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the responsiveness of the State Civil Apparatus in the administration of population administration services in the Medan Johor Sub-district office has been going well. Related to responding to the applicant, speed, accuracy, accuracy, and responding to complaints, while regarding the timeliness indicators have not been implemented optimally. The supporting factor of responsiveness is in the form of a community that can listen well to the instructions of officers. Besides the inhibiting factors of responsiveness in the form of a network that is suddenly offline, people who do not want to be invited to cooperate, and the absence of printing machines in Medan Johor Sub-district office.

This study aims to determine the role of print media (newspaper analysis) in increasing the political participation of the community in Bandar Selamat sub-district, Medan Tembung sub-district, Medan city. This study uses a quantitative method with a population consisting of 12 environments with a population of 4490 households. The sample is 2 (two) environments, namely environment VI totaling 527 families and environment X1 totaling 178 families, so as to obtain a total sample of 71 families. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling technique, namely the two environments that have a high reading level of newspaper analysis. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, questionnaire and documentation. To analyze the data, the product Moment correlation formula is used. Based on the results of research and data analysis it can be seen that the hypothesis (Ha) can be accepted, with the interpretation that there is a low influence (12%). Where the variable X (the role of the print media "Analysis newspaper") is very well enjoyed by the community in Bandar Selamat Village, but on the other hand the variable Y (the political participation of the community is relatively low). Therefore, it can be said that the role of the print media in increasing the political participation of the community is low. Based on the results of testing the hypothesis (Ha) can be accepted with the conclusion that there is a low influence on the role of the print media in increasing the political participation of the community in Bandar Selamat Village, Medan Tembung Sub-District, Medan City.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui fenomena kawin muda di era digital bagi etnis Karo di Desa Pekan Sawah Kecamatan Sei Bingai Kabupaten Langkat. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui profil perempuan kawin muda di Desa Pekan Sawah Kecamatan Sei Bingai Kabupaten Langkat. Acuan teoritis yang digunakan adalah teori Aksi. Penelitian ini dijalankan secara kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data-data yang dibutuhkan dikumpulkan melalui studi Observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui fenomena kawin muda di era digital bagi etnis Karo di Desa Pekan Sawah Kecamatan Sei Bingai Kabupaten Langkat. Kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa fenomena kawin muda di era digital bagi etnis Karo di Desa Pekan Sawah Kecamatan Sei Bingai Kabupaten Langkat bahwa fenomena kawin muda tidak mempengaruhi setiap sistem, karena dalam hal tersebut hanya sistem sosial yang paling menonjol. Hal ini berarti perilaku individu di dalam sistem sosial diatur oleh budaya, sama seperti yang terjadi di Desa Pekan Sawah. Mereka menganggap melakukan perkawinan muda merupakan hal yang lumrah, dikarenakan sebelumnya masyarakat desa tersebut sudah banyak yang melakukan kawin muda. Fenomena kawin muda yang terjadi di Desa Pekan Sawah ini merupakan jaringan terpola, yang membentuk keseluruhan yang koheren sebagai totalitas nilai sosial dan tata lakunya sendiri. Perkembangan teknologi ke arah serba digital telah membawa berbagai perubahan. Era digital bukan persoalan siap atau tidak dan bukan pula suatu opsi namun sudah merupakan suatu konsekuensi.

This article research aims to examine the readiness of learning in the digital arena for teachers and students through the application of the “Teacher Layang” platform. How are student learning activities and teacher establishment in carrying out the teaching and learning process in the cyber pedagogy space. Through the fly teacher platform, student learning outcomes are expected to be able to organize learning outcomes optimally because there are no supporting e-learning media facilities and the readiness of teachers who seem digitally stuttered so that learning orientation takes place less effectively. The floating teacher platform based on android and web becomes a simple e-learning media with the principles of learning theory and learning outcomes. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The object of research is teachers and students. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, FGD (focus group discussions) and documentation studies. The data analyzed consisted of three activity lines, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The findings of this study through the floating teacher platform have shown changes in achievement, teachers can easily manage digital classes to the maximum, from communication with students, presenting material to assessment. Teacher creativity can be implemented through the platform in the cyber pedagogy space. Students who seem to have facilitated their study room well and are fun. Teachers in maturity in the cyber pedagogy space are the main requirements to be able to organize distance learning activities, so that students will respond with the management of the learning process that has been prepared by the teacher. The fly teacher platform is an adequate attribute of cyber pedagogy for teaching and learning activities effectively and optimally.

This study focused on the readability of reading texts in English textbooks for grade XII students in the academic year of 2018/2019 based on Dale and Chall formula. This study was categorized as descriptive qualitative research. The source of the data were 5 reading texts which consist of report, news item and procedure texts selected from English for Senior High School Students XII. The average readability score report texts in textbook was 6.9, while news item and procedure text in were 7.45 and 6.15. The scores indicated that the report text, news item and procedure text in English for Senior High School Students XII textbook were too easy for the twelfth grade students since the textbooks’ level was for the seventh and eighth grade.

South Korean culture that is very popular among teenagers is Korean drama and K-pop, especially among women. Boygroups and girl groups, are never far from the name Fans. Fans or often called Fandom stands for Fan Kingdom which is a group of fans who form a community based on common interests. Self-identity as a K-pop fan in self-identity formation in K-popers shows that self-identity formation is influenced by social environmental factors, giving an image of affinity groups and idol figures. The formation builds on the side of K-pop exploration and commitment to identity as K-popers. This study aims to see the meaning of BORAHAE for someone who joins the ARMY community in Medan City. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative research method with a centralized interview approach. This research was conducted in Medan. This study also aims to find out what BORAHAE means for the ARMY community in Medan City. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews and documentation from research informants. The results of this study found that the beginning of the word borahae was coined by Kim Taehyung a member of the boy band BTS, and the meaning of the word BORAHAE is an expression of love between BTS idols and ARMY. Borahae loved each other until the end for a long time like the last color of the rainbow which is the "purple" color between BTS and Army. And borahae itself is also used as the identity of the ARMY and BTS. Based on findings obtained from BTS K-pop fans who are members of the Army community in Medan City

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan latar belakang mahasiswa Pendidikan Antropologi Universitas Negeri Medan dalam memilih penggunaan ChatGPT serta mendeskripsikan dampak positif dan negatif yang muncul dari penggunaan ChatGPT. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Program Studi Pendidikan Antropoogi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu dengan menggunakan observasi,wawancara langsung, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa mahasiswa Antropologi memilih menggunakan ChatGPT karena alasan-alasan seperti kemudahan akses yang praktis, efisiensi waktu, kebingungan dalam mencari jawaban atau informasi terkait pembelajaran, gratis dan tidak ada batasan waktu penggunaan, serta pengaruh media sosial dan teman. Penggunaan ChatGPT memberikan dampak positif bagi mahasiswa Pendidikan Antropologi, antara lain mempermudah mencari informasi, menjadi inovasi dalam media pembelajaran, serta memberikan dukungan emosional dan motivasi. Namun, ada pula dampak negatif yang perlu diperhatikan, seperti menimbulkan ketergantungan dan risiko plagiarisme. Dampak ketergantungan tersebut yang akan menimbulkan efek kepada mahasiswa seperti membuat mahasiswa cenderung malas membaca, malas untuk memvalidasi/verifikasi data, mahasiswa akan memiliki tingkat analisis yang rendah, rendahnya kejujuran terhadap mahasiswa, dan berkurangnya interaksi mahasiswa untuk saling berdiskusi terkait tugas.

This research aims to analyze teacher and student interactions in sociology learning and identify obstacles in teacher and student interactions in sociology learning in class XI IPS MAN 1 Medan. The method used in this research is qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. Research data collection techniques through participant observation, in-depth interviews, documentation and field notes. The research results show that good interactions between teachers and students contribute positively to student relationships and engagement. Teachers succeed in building effective relationships through emotional connection, positive communication, forming good habits, and support through good feedback. In the sociology learning process, starting from the opening activity, core activity and closing activity, teacher and student interactions form certain patterns, namely one-way interaction which occurs if only the teacher gives action to students, then its nature then changes to two-way when there is a reaction by the participants. students, and becomes multidirectional when interactions are more complex, for example during presentation activities. This research also found that there were obstacles in the interaction between teachers and students. Such as lack of response and participation and time constraints make it difficult for teachers to understand their specific needs. And the obstacles for students are mainly psychological and emotional obstacles such as lack of self-confidence and shyness to be active and participate in class.
