Abstract

This study investigated the effectiveness of curcuma (Curcuma longa) in increasing the body weight of underweight toddlers. Using a Pre-Experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest design, 20 underweight toddlers from Dharma Wanita Persatuan Gebang Kindergarten and TPA Al Ma’arif Sidoarjo were given 2.5 grams of curcuma mixed with water daily for two weeks. Body weight was measured before and after the intervention. The Paired Simple T-Test analysis showed a significant increase in body weight (p = 0.000). These results suggest that curcuma is an effective intervention for increasing body weight in underweight toddlers. Highlight: Administered curcuma to 20 underweight toddlers for two weeks. Abstract

This study will look at the effect of acupuncture at LI4 and SP6 points on postpartum SC pain. The research design is a quasi experimental clinical non-equivalent pre-post test control group design. The total sample is 60 respondents consisting of the intervention and control groups. The instrument used was the PNRS pain scale by measuring the level of pain before and after the intervention was given. Bivariate analysis using Independent Sample t-Test. The results of the study stated that the average pain intensity score before acupuncture intervention using PNRS there was a decrease after acupuncture intervention at points LI4 and SP6 after acupuncture intervention at points LI4 and SP6 for 30 minutes, analysis p value 0.00 <0.05. Conclusion There is a significant effect after being given acupuncture intervention at points LI4 and SP6 on reducing pain intensity in postpartum SC. Highlights: The study examines the effect of acupuncture on postpartum SC pain using a quasi-experimental design with intervention and control groups (n=60). Acupuncture at LI4 and SP6 points significantly reduces pain intensity in postpartum SC, as measured by the PNRS pain scale. Bivariate analysis (Independent Sample t-Test) shows a significant decrease in pain intensity after 30 minutes of acupuncture intervention at LI4 and SP6 points. Abstract

This study investigates the association between menstrual knowledge and readiness for menarche among sixth-grade girls at SDN Ngembe 1 Beji in 2023. Using a cross-sectional approach and validated questionnaires, the research explores factors beyond knowledge that influence preparedness. Findings reveal a non-significant correlation (p-value = 0.636) between knowledge and readiness, emphasizing the need for comprehensive educational efforts involving healthcare, schools, and communities to better equip young women for this important phase of development. Abstract

This study examines bullying at Larangan Sidoarjo Public Elementary School in South Sidoarjo and its psychological effects on victims. Using a qualitative case study method, data were collected through interviews and observations with teachers, parents, and victims, supplemented by secondary sources. Analysis followed the Miles and Huberman approach. Findings indicate that bullying includes both physical and verbal forms, leading to psychological issues such as low self-confidence, environmental anxiety, trauma in forming new friendships, and communication embarrassment. One notable case involved a student, RDF, who became introverted and sad due to verbal bullying about physical differences. The study underscores the need for effective anti-bullying programs and psychological support in schools. Highlights: 1. Bullying Types: Physical and verbal forms identified.2. Abstract

Adolescents are particularly vulnerable to unwanted pregnancies, leading to significant psychological impacts. This study explores the psychological effects of pregnancy on 15-18-year-old adolescents, focusing on a 17-year-old case study. Using in-depth interviews and the DASS 42 scale, we found that pregnancy in adolescents leads to depression, anxiety, and stress, affecting both the individual and their environment. The subject experienced familial neglect and initial denial, attempted to terminate the pregnancy, but ultimately accepted it with family and partner support. The findings highlight the need for robust support systems and preventive education to address adolescent pregnancy's psychological challenges. Highlight: Adolescent pregnancy causes severe depression, anxiety, and stress. Family and partner support is crucial for coping. Preventive education is essential for reducing psychological distress. Abstract

This study examines the stress levels of a pregnant woman, Mrs. ARN, living with her in-laws, using the Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS 42). At 18 weeks gestation, Mrs. ARN showed mild stress, normal anxiety, and normal depression levels. Her stress stemmed from poor communication with her mother-in-law, leading to discomfort and emotional distress, which negatively impacted her appetite and well-being. The findings highlight the need for effective adaptation strategies and strong spousal support to create a harmonious living environment, reducing stress and promoting healthy pregnancy outcomes. Highlights: 1. Measurement of Stress: Mrs. ARN's stress, anxiety, and depression were assessed using the DASS 42 scale, revealing mild stress.2.
