Abstract

Abstrak: Program Kampus Mengajar Angkatan 1 telah diselenggarakan pada SD sasaran, yaitu SDIT Madani Ekselensia Sidoarjo pada bulan Maret hingga Juni 2021. Program ini adalah bagian dari Kampus Merdeka yang melibatkan mahasiswa dari berbagai universitas di Indonesia dan latar belakang Pendidikan untuk membantu proses belajar mengajar di sekolah dasar yang terakreditasi C dan memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk dapat belajar dan mengembangkan diri melalui aktivitas di luar kelas perkuliahan. Program Kampus Mengajar Angkatan 1 di SDIT Madani Ekselensia bertujuan untuk membantu mengoptimalkan pelayanan Pendidikan SD selama pandemi. Program ini melibatkan delapan mahasiswa terpilih untuk mengabdikan diri di SDIT Madani Ekselensia yang berasal dari berbagai latar belakang Pendidikan, diantaranya dari program studi Bimbingan dan Konseling, Ilmu Administrasi Negara, PGSD, Teknik Elektro, Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang, dan Manajemen. Program ini berkontribusi dalam peningkatan empati dan simpati mahasiswa serta keterampilan mengajar mahasiswa.Abstract:  Kampus Mengajar Angkatan 1 Program has been held at the target elementary school, namely SDIT Madani Ekselensia Sidoarjo from March to June 2021. This program is part of the Merdeka Campus which involves students from various universities in Indonesia and educational backgrounds to assist the teaching and learning process in elementary schools. which is accredited C and provides opportunities for students to be able to learn and develop themselves through activities outside of class lectures. The Teaching Campus Program Batch 1 at SDIT Madani Ekselensia aims to help optimize elementary education services during the pandemic. This program involves eight students selected to devote themselves to SDIT Madani Ekselensia who come from various educational backgrounds, including from Guidance and Counseling study programs, State Administration Science, PGSD, Electrical Engineering, Japanese Language Education, and Management. This program contributes to increasing students' empathy and sympathy as well as students' teaching skills.

Abstract

The school canteen has an important role to fulfill the food needs of school children. In general, foods that are sold in canteens have very diverse variations, with prices relatively cheap and easily accessible to school children. The need for fulfillment of hygienic foods is ordered by the factors of place and hygiene of the food handlers need to be done. Foods that do not meet the requirements and safety that can be given due to health problems or diseases related to food such as diarrhea, cholera, dysentery, typhus, and other food poisoning. The number of food handlers in the cafeteria of SD Muhammadiyah 1 and 2 Sidoarjo competes 6 people. Based on the results of observations and interviews, they did not have sufficient educational background in terms of hygiene and food sanitation, and they never gained knowledge about food hygiene and sanitation. This will greatly determine the quality of food provided to consumers especially elementary school children. Based on this, the Community Service activities on hygiene training and food sanitation were carried out at food handlers in the cafeteria of Muhammadiyah 1 and 2 elementary schools in Sidoarjo.

Abstract

Turi (Sesbania grandiflora (L.) Pers.) is a type of plant belonging to the Fabaceae family that is widespread in Indonesian territory and has the potential as a natural free radical scavenger. The study aims to compare the antioxidant activity from white Turi (Sesbania grandiflora (L.) Pers.) leaf extracts in various extraction solvents. The determination of antioxidant activity was carried out using the DPPH method with a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The turi plants used were originated from Mojosari, Mojokerto, East Java, Indonesia. Simplicia turi leaves were macerated in various extraction solvents: ethanol, ethyl acetate, and n-hexane for 24 hours. The extraction results are then subjected to phytochemical and antioxidant activity tests. The obtained result shows that the white turi extract has antioxidant activity with strong activity against DPPH radicals; with n-hexane > ethyl acetate extract > ethanol extract. The IC50 values of ethanol, n-hexane, and ethyl acetate extracts of white turi leaves were 33.09 ppm; 26.99 ppm; and 25.33 ppm. Based on these results, the white turi plant (leaves) can be one of the natural sources of antioxidants to prevent diseases caused by free radicals.

Abstract

Environmental conditions are increasingly worrying to make all parties, not least educational practitioners, want give to overcome it. One that can be done is by presenting a learning process that is more concerned about the environment. In science education, the Green Chemistry approach integrated into laboratory activities is expected to address these challenges. Therefore, this study aims to develop a practice Module based on Green Chemistry approach that can be used by prospective students of science teachers as guidance to carry out safe and environmentally friendly lab work on Basic Chemistry course. This research method is Research and Development (RD). The aim of this research is the feasibility of the module based on expert assessment (lecturer of Chemistry) and students. The data of the research were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis method. Based on the results of data analysis shows that the developed practice Module is very feasible to be implemented in Basic Chemistry learning because it received an assessment with the category of "very good" from the chemistry lecturer on the three aspects of content, instructions and conformity with the principle of Green Chemistry and get a very positive response from Student responses as users of the module.Keywords: Module lab, Chemistry Basic, Approach of Green Chemistry, student of science teacher candidate

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan metabolit sekunder dan aktivitas sitotoksik dengan nilai LC50dari ekstrak selada merah (Lactuca sativa var.Crispa) pada berbagai pelarut. Sampel selada merah yang digunakan didapatkan dari desa Turirejo kecamatan Lawang-Malang. Simplisia selada merah di ekstraksi dengan metode maserasi menggunakan variasi pelarut yaitu pelarut etanol, metanol, etil asetat, dan n-heksana selama 24 jam. Hasil maserasi dipekatkan dengan alat rotary vacuum evaporator. Kemudian dilakukan uji skrining fitokimia serta KLT untuk mengetahui kandungan metabolit sekunder dalam sampel. Pengujian aktivitas sitotoksik dilakukan dengan metode BSLT (Brine Shrimp Lethality Test). Hasil ekstraksi didapatkan ekstrak kental etanol, metanol, etil asetat, dan n-heksana secara berturut-turut sebesar 17,30 g; 12,32 g; 25,61 g; dan 3,76 g. Dan hasil dari uji fitokimia menunjukkan ekstrak etanol selada merah mengandung flavonoid, tanin, saponin, triterpenoid, steroid dan alkaloid. Sedangkan ekstrak metanol selada merah mengandung alkaloid, saponin, dan tanin. Pada ekstrak etil asetat selada merah mengandung alkalid, saponin, steroid, dan tanin. Dan pada ekstrak n-heksana selada merah mengandung alkaloid, steroid, triterpenoid, dan tanin. Hasil aktivitas sitotoksik ekstrak metanol memiliki bioaktivitas tertinggi terhadap Artemia salina Leach. dibandingkan dengan ekstrak etanol, etil asetat, dan n-heksana. Nilai LC50ekstrak etanol, metanol, etil asetat, dan n-heksana secara berturut-turut adalah 322,288 ppm; 68,632 ppm; 1934,287 ppm; dan 170,115 ppm.Kata kunci: Selada merah (Lactuca sativa var. Abstract

Turi (Sesbania grandiflora (L.) Pers.) merupakan jenis tanaman yang tersebar luas di wilayah Indonesia dan termasuk dalam famili Fabaceae serta memiliki potensi sebagai antioksidan alami. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak etanol, etil asetat, dan n-heksana dari batang turi putih (Sesbania grandiflora (L.) Pers.). Penentuan aktivitas antioksidan dilakukan dengan metode DPPH menggunakan alat spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Tanaman turi yang digunakan berasal dari Mojosari, Mojokerto. Simplisia daun turi dimaserasi pada berbagai pelarut etanol, etil asetat, dan n-heksana selama 24 jam. Hasil ekstraksi kemudian dilakukan uji fitokimia, KLT dan aktivitas antioksidan. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol, etil asetat, dan n-heksana batang turi putih (Sesbania grandiflora (L.) Pers.) memiliki aktivitas antioksidan (IC50) yang termasuk ke dalam aktivitas antioksidan yang kuat terhadap radikal DPPH dengan nilai IC50 masing-masing ekstrak yaitu ekstrak etanol sebesar 24,30 ppm, ekstrak etil asetat sebesar 26,98 ppm, dan n-heksana sebesar 25,33 ppm. Sehingga tanaman turi putih (daun) dapat menjadi salah satu sumber zat bioaktif antioksidan alami untuk mencegah terjadinya penyakit yang disebabkan oleh radikal bebas.

Abstract

Fish is a commodities that are very easy to decompose (Highly Perishable), therefore made efforts to extend the shelf life of fish by using preservatives. Preservatives that are not harmful to health are chitosan nanoparticles. The aim of this research are to know the characterization of chitosan nanoparticles from milkfish scales and their effect as fresh pangas catfish preservative by using concentration variation 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, and 5% and optimization of storage time 12, 24, 36 , 48, 60, and 72 hours. Design in this research is experimental laboratory. Characterization of chitosan nanoparticles using FT-IT and SEM-EDX. While the effect of fresh pangas catfish preservation on chitosan nanoparticles is based on water, ash, protein, and ALT parameters. The results obtained on the characterization of chitosan nanoparticles on the identification of functional groups (FT-IR) showed absorption bands of OH groups at a peak 3450,99 cm-1, the CN snow absorption band was seen at the peak 2360,44 cm-1, the amine band of NH amine at the peak of 1639,20 cm-1 and the crystalline alcohol CO uptake band was observed at a peak of 1096,33 cm-1. The characterization results of SEM-EDX chitosan nanoparticles are round but clumped and clearly visible particle size changes. The experimental results were analyzed with two-way ANOVA statistic showing a significant effect between concentration variation and length of storage time to extend the durability of fresh pangas catfish. The best results of chitosan nanoparticles on fresh pangas catfish is at 5% concentrations at 72 hours of storage time with water value 16,4%, ash value 0,04%, protein value 0,04%, and ALT value 4,0 x 105cfu/g.

Abstract

Kegiatan PPM (Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat) ini merupakan salah satu program yang bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi tentang bahaya bahan kimia (pewarna sintetis, pemanis sintetis, formalin, dan boraks) yang ditambahkan ke bahan makanan dan memberikan informasi tentang cara mudah dan sederhana deteksi bahan kimia berbahaya. agar mitra dapat terbantu dalam memilih bahan pangan yang aman bagi keluarganya sehingga dapat meningkatkan derajat kesehatannya terutama dalam menghadapi masa pandemi ini. Mitra sasaran kegiatan pelatihan adalah guru-guru SD Negeri di Kecamatan Krian Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Berdasarkan survey awal, mitra ini belum mengetahui bahaya makanan yang mengandung bahan kimia berbahaya (pewarna sintetis, pemanis sintetis, formalin, dan boraks) terhadap kesehatan. Mitra juga belum mengetahui cara mudah dan sederhana untuk mendeteksi bahan kimia berbahaya (pewarna sintetis, pemanis sintetis, formalin, dan boraks) dalam makanan. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi edukasi mengenai bahaya bahan kimia berbahaya dalam makanan dan pelatihan membuat alat sederhana untuk mendeteksi adanya formalin dan boraks menggunakan tusuk gigi kunyit, pewarna sintetis dengan sabun, dan pemanis sintetis dengan karamelisasi serta mempraktekkan cara mudah dan sederhana untuk mendeteksi bahan kimia berbahaya (pewarna sintetis, pemanis sintetis, formalin, dan boraks) dalam makanan. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi dalam peningkatan derajat kesehatan masyarakat melalui keterampilan memilih bahan pangan yang aman bagi kesehatan.

Abstract

Pembelajaran kewirausahaan Islami sangat diperlukan guna dapat membangun dan membentuk kecakapan siswa berwirausaha. Potensi SMPN 2 Porong memiliki area pekarangan yang banyak tumbuh bunga Rosella. Permasalahan yang kemudian muncul adalah bagaimana cara membelajarkan kewirausahaan siswa kaitannya dengan potensi bunga Rosella yang melimpah di sekolah. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini mengunakan pendekatan edukatif, meliputi: 1) melakukan sosialisasi dan pengurusan perijinan, 2) persiapan penyuluhan, 3) kegiatan penyuluhan, 4) kegiatan praktik dan pendampingan, 5) melakukan kegiatan evaluasi dan monitoring untuk mengetahui ketercapaian dari program yang telah dilaksanakan. Pembelajaran kewirausahaan melalui pemanfaatan teh bunga Rosella dapat meningkatkan kreativitas siswa menuju suatu pembaharuan.Kata kunci: pembelajaran kewirausahaan islami, pemanfaatan teh bunga rosella.AbstractIslamic entrepreneurship is needed to be able to build entrepreneur skills. The potential Porong 2 at state midlle School has grows a lot of Rosella flowers. The problem is how to teach entrepreneurship with Rosella flowers at school. The method uses an educational approach, including: 1) conducting socialization and permits of management, 2) preparation of counseling, 3) counseling activity, 4) practice and mentoring activities, 5) evaluation and monitoring activities to find out an achievements programs. Entrepreneurship through the use of Rosella flower tea can increase students' creativity towards renewal.

The purpose of this PPM activity are to improve the knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of food handlers about food hygiene and sanitation so not to harm their consumers health, especially school children. The method used is a training and mentoring model for food handlers starting when preparing food, processing, and serving to customers. The results of these program can be known about changes in the knowledge and skills of food handlers in food hygiene and sanitation.
