Public Space in a settlement will be effective and useful if it has three intrinsic values, namely democratic, meaningful and responsive. Then the existence of people and how they play a role in space is important in reviewing the public nature of a space. The effectiveness of a public space can be assessed from the level of utilization by the community on the types of activities and social interactions of the people in it. Currently, the use of Non-Green Public Space is still not in line with expectations, namely the realization of a comfortable, productive and sustainable space, marked by the lack of community social activities in the Untia Fisherman Settlement Non-Green Public Space (NGPS). The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the use of Non-Green Public Space in the Untia Fisherman Settlement in the form of Taman Bermain Delta and Plaza Park. The research method used in this study uses descriptive qualitative research methods because it describes the research location at the time of observation and compares standards and or theories with the facts of the availability of Non-Green Public Space (NGPS) in the settlements using the Good Public Space Index (GPSI) analysis tool. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the availability of the Taman Bermain Delta Non-Green Public Space in the Untia Fisherman Settlement was related in terms of utilization, as well as in terms of accessibility to the Non-Green Public Space, elements (Comfortable, Relaxation, Passive and Active engagement Discovery), as well as the availability of supporting facilities and infrastructure were still lacking. both in terms of quality and quantity. Re-effectiveness of the function and nature of the existence of the Non-Green Public Space in the Untia Fisherman Settlement requires cooperation from various parties.

Tourism is the main sector to generate the development. This tourism activity will be the lead of driving the regional to improve the economic sector in some area, especially for the areas that have unique potential and scarce resources. The criteria for ownership of potential uniqueness and rarity can be found in Cikoang Village, Mangarabombang District, Takalar Regency. The combination of the atmosphere of the river estuary with the natural beauty of the environment wrapped in a comfortable air temperature supported by the annual ritual of Maudu Lompoa and the catch of fresh fish from fishermen is a tourism potential that is hard to forget for travelers with high taste. Conditions like this certainly deserve to be shared with all people who love tourism. This potential is unfortunate because the environment has shown signs of deteriorating environmental quality and lack of supporting facilities to help show its superiority. The decline in environmental quality and lack of supporting facilities are the problems of this dedication. Meanwhile, efforts to bring out the golden potential of riverbank estuary village tourism are the goal of dedication. The method used to solve the problem is an architectural description approach with the consideration of the unity between elements of culture, tourism, education and culinary. The results of the study promote architectural idea of an integrated regional spatial plan between cultural, educational and recreational activities. Completion of the watershed area of the estuary with erosion protection construction as a tourist spot is a combine value added solution. Increasing the salt pond tourism area as a combination of tourism and education. Increasing the Maudu Lompoa cultural tourism area as a combination of cultural tourism.

Open open space is one of the elements of space that has a function as a social binder for the resident community in a certain area, can be accessed from anywhere and anytime so that it has a sustainability function that can improve the quality of life of the community both in social, economic, and even cultural contexts. On an urban scale, the rules regarding open space are directed at efforts to achieve good oxygen conditions which are a requirement in improving the health status of the community. In residential areas, the performance of open space is more emphasized on socio-cultural functions where people can gather in a friendly atmosphere so that the optimization of open space functions in the aspect of joint economic improvement is actually open for development. Open space in a residential area in Romang Lompoa Village has the potential in the form of a large volume. The main problem lies in the lack of facilities to support community activities in developing interactive activities between fellow settlers in a social context. The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the function of the existing open space by providing the design of supporting facilities for interactive activities which can then be realized by the community in the residential environment through participatory activities based on mutual cooperation. The method of carrying out the activities formulated by the Community Service Team of the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University refers to the health protocol rules as part of efforts to break the spread of the Covid-19 Virus. Therefore, the form of activity is mostly carried out in the form of observation and evaluation of existing open spaces as well as limited interviews with stakeholders at locations at community service locations.

The culinary area of Galesong beach is located above the sea with a semi-permanent building structure where the existing infrastructure in the culinary tourism area currently does not meet the standards for infrastructure for a tourism area such as access to culinary tourism sites through dense residential areas with narrow roads for access to tourism areas. This study aims to explain the development of the culinary tourism infrastructure of the Galesong coast based on sustainability aspects. The research targets to explain the availability of infrastructure for handling development, analyze infrastructure needs, and analyze the direction of infrastructure development policies that support culinary tourism areas. This research uses the swot analysis method for infrastructure development strategy. The results of this study explain that the infrastructure in the Galesong beach culinary tourism area is available but has not met the standard norms, guidelines, and criteria. Culinary tourism areas need infrastructure to deal with coastal abrasion problems, fires, waste processing, drainage, and improvement of footpaths to culinary tourism areas. This research can be a reference for infrastructure development in the Galesong beach culinary area.

The rapid population growth in many countries will ultimately impact the provision of essential services and engender many challenges, such as inadequate sanitation. Indonesia has an extensive coastline and densely populated coastal areas that have grown sporadically, creating slums. These areas have long been associated with poor greywater management. Greywater is dumped into beaches, roads, and yards without pre-treatment, thus harming the environment and society. This study aims to identify various factors influencing community actions to manage and overcome greywater-related problems in coastal slum areas. Using methods by combining qualitative and quantitative approaches. The influential factors in the physical condition of the built environment, the natural environment, community activities, and government involvement related to greywater were analyzed qualitatively, while the public understanding of greywater management was assessed quantitatively. The results showed that these four factors significantly influenced people's attitudes towards wastewater treatment. The findings show that these four factors affect people's mind-set about handling greywater, which becomes an obstacle to changing their attitudes and views on greywater. The four factors have the same level and cannot be separated in dealing with greywater. Treatment strategies are in accordance with coastal nature, settlements physical conditions and communities are then chosen Treatment Horizontal Flow. Doi: 10.28991/CEJ-2022-08-12-05 Full Text: PDF
