Abstract

Dictionary is a reference book that contains words and phrases that are usually arranged alphabetically and followed by description of the meaning, usage, or translation. Dictionary has several kinds, one of which is a dictionary of terms. Medical Dictionary is a dictionary of terms that contain medical terms. Medical dictionary identical with the thick book that complicated and slow in its use. To overcome this we need a medical dictionary application. Medical dictionary applications require a search process to support the performance of the application. Search process is needed to shorten the time in the search itself. Searching is done using the Boyer - Moore algorithm is a string search algorithm that has the fastest searching time, because the strings match moves from right to left, so can shorten the time and simplify the use of medical dictionary application. This research was made based on Android using Java programming language with SQLite databases. After testing, 100% of 45 respondents stated that the application of this medical dictionary has the accuracy of the resulting word in the search process. Abstract

The rapid economic growth, technology and science have a big impact on human mind for searching and getting money, one of the example is stocks investment. The information is so easy to find and disseminated, as well as the awareness and knowledge are the other key to be able to know and understand how to be a good investor. The purpose of this research was to implement simple moving average and exponential moving average to determine the trend of the stock price of a company. The application is by calculating the value of a simple moving average and exponential moving average period of 5 (weekly) and a period of 20 (monthly) then analyze the results of calculation with the data on the fact whether it is appropriate or not. The tests for this research is conducted using data from the 15 companies listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and always included in the list of LQ45 index from 2005 to 2014. From the research that began on January 6, 2014 until September 29, 2015 for the simple moving average and the exponential moving average period of 5 (weekly) can be inferred that the level of accuracy of the simple moving average 5-day period was at 61,73%, then to the result of the exponential moving average 5-day period was at 68,07%. Then, based on research results that starting on January 1, 2014 until September 29, 2015 for the simple moving average and the exponential moving average 20day period (monthly) can be inferred that the level of accuracy of the simple moving average 20-day period was at 72,52%, and then to result 20-day period exponential moving average is at 73,39%.

Abstract

The advancement of technology effects in increasing competition between companies. Because of that, companies need more than just raw information, but rather some insight that can help companies to make decisions in the future regarding all the possibilities that can happen. The data that can help the company to make decisions is a forecasting earnings because it can help predict the state of the company has right now, and also can help to make a better decision in the future. Therefore, this study discusses about the design and development of forecasting earnings application using Least Squares Method which will create an equation with the formula, y = ax + b. The method will be implemented based on Android OS at PT TRI PANJI GEMILANG using data from January 2005 to December 2013 (108 months) for data forecasting, and the data used to check the error is data from January 2014 to May 2015 (17 months). Forecasting results have a mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) about 8.26%, with an accuracy of forecasting results about 91.74%. Keywords: android, forecasting, least squares method, profits

Abstract

A catalog is a register of all bibliographic items found in a library. A bibliographic item can be any information entity. The library catalog has evolved from manual, website based catalog to mobile catalog. Unfortunately, there are still many obstacles in the results of library catalog search, including the relevant results of documents based on input from the user. The purpose of this research is to make the library catalog based on mobile application in android using relevant calculation used rocchio relevance feedback method. Abstract

Plagiarism is a behavior that causes violence of copyrights. Survey shows 55% of college presidents say that plagiarism in students’ papers has increased over the past 10 years. Therefore, an application for detecting plagiarism is needed, especially for teachers. This plagiarism checker application is made by using Visual C# 2010. The plagiarism checker uses hamming distance algorithm for matching line code of the source code. This algorithm works by matching the same length string of the code programs. Thus, it needs brute will be matched with hamming distance. Another important thing for detecting plagiarism is the preprocessing, which is used to help the algorithm for detecting plagiarized source code. This paper shows that the application works good in detecting plagiarism, the hamming distance algorithm and brute force algorithm works better than levenstein distance algorithm for detecting structural type of plagiarism and this thesis also shows that the preprocessing could help the application to increase its percentage and its accuracy. Abstract

A business activity aimed at obtaining forecasting as an initial step in planning activities helps provide an overview of sales in a business for the coming period based on data available. This research aims to design and develop a motorcycle sales forecasting application using Fuzzy Time Series with Nearest Symmetric Trapezoidal Fuzzy Number approach to predict the next period sales of PT Mutiara Motor. To test the accuracy of the method used in application, we used the MSE and MAPE criteria. Based on the results of three experiments taken: (1) monthly ‘All Category’-’All Type’ with MSE = 54.42 and MAPE = 4.28%, (2) monthly ‘Beat CW Fuel Injection’ with MSE = 3.67 and MAPE = 4.04%, and (3) daily ‘All Category’- ’All Type’ with MSE = 1.42 and MAPE = 27.36% we indicate that Fuzzy Time Series with Nearest Symmetric Trapezoidal Fuzzy Number approach could give higher accuracy than the Single Exponential Smoothing method as comparison in forecasting motorcycle sales. Abstract

Teeth and mouth disease is a disease that affects many people in Indonesia. Teeth and mouth disease can interfere with human activities a link between oral health to overall body health including diabetes, heart disease, pregnancy problems, and memory loss. The quick detection of teeth and mouth disease would help people to quickly recover from teeth and mouth disease. This research was conducted with the aim to help detect teeth and mouth disease suffered by the user. In this research, the determination of the results of teeth and mouth disease detection was conducted using Dempster-Shafer method. This method is used because this method combines belief values of that the data is taken from the entire value of the trust that is available. This application was developed for android devices. This application was tested using ten kinds of cases designed by a doctor. Based on test cases conducted as many as ten kinds of cases, the results given by this application correspond 100% with the results that have been validated by drg. Lanny Widjaja. Abstract

This paper describes about the design and development of UMN scholarship decision support system using Profile Matching method. At Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN), there are scholarships for students in order to ease the burden of education costs. There are achievement scholarships, scholarships for students whose parents died, and non-academic scholarships. Decision support systems play an important role in the termination of the final decision, and therefore this application is built by implementing the method of Profile Matching to aid in the selection of the scholarship decisions for students whose parent were died and non-academic scholarship. Profile Matching is a method that aims at taking decisions by assuming that there is an ideal level of predictor variables that must be met by the subjects studied, instead of the minimum rate that must be met or passed. From the results, it can be concluded that this method successfully implemented into applications that can help in decision making process. Result of user satisfaction level for this application is 72%, the result of manual calculation with the application calculation results is not much different so that this application can assist in supporting the UMN scholarship decision.
