Abstract

Apartemen Dago Butik di Bandung adalah salah satu apartemen generasi pertama (2002an) di Bandung yang diperuntukkan bagi masyarakat umum yang berpenghasilan menengah ke atas, yang hingga kini masih dihuni. Apartemen Gateway adalah salah satu apartemen dengan kategori yang serupa dengan apartemen Dago Butik, yang saat ini juga telah selesai dibangun. Apartemen Dago Butik berada pada lahan yang kondisinya memaksa rancangan blok bangunannya menghadap dominan ke arah Barat dan Timur. Apartemen Gateway berada pada lahan yang memungkinkan rancangan blok bangunannya menghadap ke arah Utara dan Selatan. Apartemen Dago Butik dirancang dengan tipologi bangunan tunggal, adapun apartemen Gateway dirancang dengan tipologi multi massa. Kondisi masa perancangan/pembangunan; orientasi bangunan; tipologi bangunan; dan luas lahan, yang berbeda pada kedua apartemen tersebut, merupakan hal yang menarik untuk diteliti, mengingat variabel tersebut merupakan penentu yang penting terkait dengan peluang kedua bangunan tersebut untuk menjadi green building, karena tiga variabel yang disebut terakhir itu berpengaruh besar terhadap prasyarat untuk menjadi green building. Diantara prasyarat yang paling penting bagi sebuah bangunan untuk menjadi bangunan hijau adalah koefisien ruang hijau dan nilai overall thermal transfer value (OTTV). Koefisien daerah hijau minimum adalah 50 % untuk bangunan tinggi fungsi perumahan, dan nilai OTTV maksimum adalah 38 watt/m2. Tanpa memenuhi prasyarat tersebut, sebuah bangunan tidak akan mendapat predikat sebagai bangunan hijau walaupun persyaratan dan kriteria lainnya sangat memenuhi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada peluang untuk apartemen Dago Butik dan Apartemen Gateway untuk memperoleh predikat bangunan hijau ditinjau dari sudut pandang prasyarat utama yaitu dari kriteria tersedianya ruang hijau dan kriteria perhitungan OTTV. Metode kuantitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Survai lapangan dilakukan untuk mendapatkan data (1) rancangan blocking massa bangunan dan ruang hijau berupa gambar rencana tapak dan rencana ruang hijau pada bangunan untuk menghitung prosentase ruang hijau yang tersedia, dan (2) rancangan bangunan berupa gambar denah, tampak dan potongan bangunan; serta bahan bangunan selubung bangunan untuk menghitung OTTV. Fakta yang terungkap menunjukkan bahwa OTTV pada kedua bengunan yang distudi sudah memenuhi syarat GBCI, namun tidak memenuhi persyaratan dalam hal ruang terbuka hijau. Untuk itu diperlukan penambahan ruang terbuka hijau pada halaman dan pada bangunan. Hal itu merupakan temuan yang berguna untuk diterapkan dalam menunjang pembangunan dan pengembangan hunian vertikal yang mempunyai predikat bangunan hijau, dan selanjutnya diharapkan dapat memberi peluang bagi kehidupan di perkotaan dengan kualitas yang lebih baik di masa depan. Abstract

The utilization of daylighting as an effort to reduce the usage of building energy needs to be optimized. This is because, low-rise buildings with large volumes require specific strategies for proper light distribution throughout the space. Hence, this study aims to explore and compare the effectiveness of daylighting in the openings design of skylight, roof monitor, and sawtooth in large-volume buildings in Bandung. The effectiveness is assessed by examining lighting performance based on distribution patterns, the value of Daylight Factor (DF), and the Coefficient of Uniformity (CU). Experimental research method with simulation program known as Velux Daylight Visualizer 3.0 is used to present and analyze the lighting data. The results showed that the type, position (openings' height and distance), as well as the opening direction affected the distribution patterns and daylighting performance. Based on the simulation, the skylight opening is the most effective in meeting the standard value of Daylight Factor (> 2%) and Coefficient of Uniformity (CU min. 0.3 and DF min. 0.8%). Thus, space and openings model with a percentage roof area of 16.3% in the simulation can be used as a reference for large-volume buildings because, it meets the requirements of Daylight Factor value and sufficient Coefficient of Uniformity.

Abstract

The existence of villages which rich in cultural and natural potential is still being managed poorly, both in physical and non-physical aspects, specifically in the attempt to support the village development which still requires comprehensive supervision. This study is considered important for an intensive in-depth study. Referring to the potential possessed by Bejiharjo Village, this study includes physical and non-physical aspects that can be utilize in developing the existing elements in the scope of the built environment in the Bejiharjo Village area based on the lacalities values. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the existing condition of Bejiharjo Village to provide design recommendations for the development of Bejiharjo village into an tourism village. The method of documentation carried out is divided into 3 (three) stages. The first stage is documentation of literature that is reviewed and used as the basis for exploring the potential and problems in Bejiharjo Village. The second stage is surveys and interviews, both with village officials and with the community, this stage is carried out several times to obtain more accurate data. The third stage is to review and sort out the results of surveys and interviews, as a basis for designing a tourist village area. The benefits of this study are expected to provide recommendations in the form of a design for a culturally based tourism village area. This study can also be used as a basis or guide in preparing architectural documentation methods to support the masterplan as one of the strategies in developing the Bejiharjo Village area into a cultural based tourism village. Abstract

Abstract - The church as a place of worship is required to have an ideal acoustic quality, without forgetting other aspects. St. Joseph’s Church Semarang is one of the historic buildings in Semarang with a Neo-Gothic architectural style, with a little Gothic influence. In the Neo-Gothic era, the design of a church was more emphasized on the liturgical aspect so that the proportions of the space tended to be gigantic. Another feature of Neo-Gothic architecture is the presence of large columns in the interior, an elongated floor plan, and the use of materials such as stained glass, solid wood, and marble floors. These features of Neo-Gothic churches can potentially affect acoustical qualities such as sound distribution, speech definition, reverberation time, and acoustic defects. In this study, observations will be made on the effect of Neo-Gothic architectural style interiors on acoustical quality using post-occupancy evaluation methods with quantitative and qualitative approaches. This study discusses the theory of Neo-Gothic architecture and the theory of the ideal acoustical quality of the church, then compares the theory with the results of tests and observations in the field, calculations, and simulations using software. This is done to find out how the acoustical quality of the church with the parameters of sound distribution, speech definition, and reverberation time using direct sound sources or loudspeakers. It also discusses the placement of loudspeakers. Qualitative data in the form of people's perceptions of voice articulation and voice intelligence are also used to support the results of calculations and testing. The results showed that the Neo-Gothic interior style of St. Joseph’s Church Semarang has an influence on the acoustical quality of the worship space in terms of several parameters of the acoustical quality of the church. The plan of the church is rectangular, causing the distribution of sound to be uneven in the seating area of ​​the people at the back. The existence of large columns in the interior of the worship room causes acoustical defects in the form of acoustical shadows. The volume of space that is too large due to the high ceiling and the shape of the ceiling that follows the rib vault structure system causes the reverberation time to be high or not ideal. In addition, the reflection on the ceiling also causes acoustical defects in the form of long delayed reflection, which reduces speech definition. The interior material which is entirely reflective material also contributes to the high value of the reverberation time which also has an impact on the low level of speech intelligibility, caused by the lack of diffusion. Placement of the existing loudspeaker in the worship room of St. Joseph’s Church Semarang is proven to be effective in helping to improve voice distribution, speech intelligibility, and reduce acoustical defects in the form of sound shadows, but it is less effective on speech intelligibility and affects long delayed reflection.
