Abstract

Magnetite (Fe3O4) nanoparticles have been successfully synthesized from natural iron sand originating from the rest of the gold panning area of Sijunjung Regency, West Sumatra, Indonesia. The method used in this study is the coprecipitation method with the addition of lauric acid used to obtain a uniform particle size and to control the crystal size. With variations in the mass of lauric acid: 0 g, 1.25 g, 2.5 g, 3.75 g, and 5 grams. And variations in the mass of iron sand used are 8 g, 10 g, 12 g, 14 g, and 16 g. The difference in mass of iron sand produces a solution of FeCl3 and FeCl2 with different percentages of iron oxide solubility. The results of the synthetic powder tested by XRD on samples without the addition of lauric acid were dominated by the hematite phase and in samples with the addition of 1.25 g, 2.5 g, 3.75 g, and 5 grams of lauric acid, a cubic crystal structure with a single-phase magnetite was obtained. With the optimum conditions obtained in the Scherrer-Debay equation, it was obtained by adding 2.5 g of lauric acid with a crystal size of 22.3 nm

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop a powerpoint media for oxidation and reduction reactions based on quided inquiry learning towards high-level thinking abilities of X-grade Senior High School students. The model used is the RND (Research and Development) development model with the 4D method, namely the stages of definition (Define), design (Design), development (Develop) and dissemination (Disseminate). The limitation of this research is only up to the development stage. This development assessment is valid and practical. There are two categories of validation, namely material validation with content, construct, linguistic and graphic validation elements, while media expert validation uses display and media elements. Elements of practice can be seen from the questionnaire conducted by 36 students and 2 teachers. The results of this study are powerpoint media that meet valid and practical criteria, so that they can be used for learning oxidation and reduction reactions to high-level thinking skills in senior high school

Abstract

This research aims to generate a guided inquiry-based interactive multimedia on an Acid-Based product. It also categorizes its validity and practicality. The method of research used in this paper is research that will create a certain product called Research and Development (R&D). Three phases of the Plomp Model will be used in this research including preliminary research phase, prototyping phase, and assessment phase. In this research, the instrument will be used in a questionnaire consisting of a validity sheet and practicality sheet. The actual product was validated by 6 chemistry expert validators and 3 multimedia expert validators. The practicality test was carried out by 2 chemistry teachers and 33 students of XI MIPA 3 from SMAN 2 Padang Panjang. The data analysis technique used is Aiken’s V technique for validity and the percentage technique for practicality. The result of the analysis of the chemistry expert validation and multimedia expert validation data based on Aiken’s V value showed a result of 0,92 and 0,98 with a valid category. The practicality of interactive multimedia results was 88,33 and 87,60 with a very high practice. The interactive multimedia that has been produced is valid and practical to be used.

Abstract

Electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solutions are one of the materials in SMA/MA class X chemistry. The materials of electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solutions can be understood well through their macroscopic, submicroscopic, and symbolic representations. This study aims to develop interactive PowerPoint learning media based on guided inquiry on electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solution material for class X SMA/MA which is in accordance with the characteristics of the material and the demands of the 2013 curriculum. (define, design, develop, and disseminate). This research is limited to the develop stage. Testing the validity and practicality of interactive PowerPoint learning media based on guided inquiry on electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solution material using an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The subjects of the validity test of this interactive PowerPoint learning media were three chemistry department lecturers and two MAN chemistry teachers. The practicality test subjects of this interactive PowerPoint learning media were two MAN 5 chemistry teachers and twenty MAN 5 Mandailing Natal students. The data obtained from the questionnaire were processed using the kappa moment to obtain the k value of each validity and practicality test item. The interactive learning media of electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solutions produced in this study had a validity k value of 0.86 and practicality by teachers and students obtaining k values of 0.895 and 0.89, with very high criteria of validity and practicality. Larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit merupakan salah satu materi dalam kimia SMA/MA kelas X. Materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit dapat dimengerti dengan baik melalui representasi makroskopik, submikroskopik, dan simboliknya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran PowerPoint interaktif berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit  kelas X SMA/MA yang sesuai dengan karakteristik materi dan tuntutan kurikulum 2013. Penelitian yang dilakukan termasuk jenis penelitian pengembangan (research and development) dengan model 4-D (define, design, develop, dan disseminate). Penelitian ini dibatasi sampai tahap develop. Pengujian validitas dan praktikalitas media pembelajaran PowerPoint interaktif berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit menggunakan instrumen berupa angket. Subjek uji validitas media pembelajara PowerPoint interaktif  ini adalah tiga orang dosen jurusan kimia dan dua orang guru kimia MAN. Subjek uji praktikalitas media pembelajaran PowerPoint interaktif ini adalah dua orang guru kimia MAN 5 dan dua puluh orang siswa MAN 5 Mandailing Natal. Data yang dihasilakan dari angket diolah memakai momen kappa untuk memperoleh nilai k setiap item uji validitas dan praktikalitas. Media pembelajaran interaktif larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit yang dihasilkan pada penelitian ini memiliki nilai k kevalidan 0,86 dan kepraktisan oleh guru dan siswa memperoleh nilai k 0.895 dan 0.89, dengan kriteria kevalidan dan kepraktisan sangat tinggi.

Abstract

ABSTRACTLearning media is a tool used to support the learning process. The use of learning media in the teaching and learning process can generate new desires and interests, generate motivation and simulation for learning activities and even bring psychological effects on students. One of the ideal demands of 2013 curriculum is the use of ICT to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of learning. One of the learning media that can be used is interactive PowerPoint learning media. This research aim to produces interactive PowerPoint learning media on thermochemistry material for class XI SMA/MA which is valid and practical. The research method applied is R & D with a 4D development model, which has four stages, namely define, design, develop and disseminate. Limited to the develop stage. The validity test was determined by a validation sheet filled out by 5 validators consisting of 2 chemistry lecturers and 3 chemistry teachers with a construct validity test result of 0.88 and a content validity test of 1 with a valid category. The results of the analysis of the practicality test chemistry teachers were 87.4% and the students was 94% with very high practicality category.Keywords: Interactive Learning Media, PowerPoint, R & D, ThermochemistryABSTRAKMedia pembelajaran adalah alat bantu yang digunakan untuk menunjang proses pembelajaran. Pemakaian media pembelajaran dalam proses belajar-mengajar dapat membangkitkan keinginan dan minat yang baru, membangkitkan motivasi dan ransangan kegiatan belajar, dan bahkan membawa pengaruh-pengaruh psikologi terhadap peserta didik. Salah satu tuntutan ideal Kurikulum 2013 adalah pemanfaatan TIK untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas pembelajaran. Salah satu media pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan adalah media pembelajaran PowerPoint interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran PowerPoint interaktif pada materi termokimia kelas XI SMA/MA yang valid dan praktis. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan R & D dengan model pengembangan 4D, yang memiliki empat tahap yaitu define, design, develop dan disseminate. Dibatasi sampai tahap develop. Uji validitas ditentukan dengan lembar validasi yang diisi oleh 5 orang validator yang terdiri dari 2 orang dosen kimia dan 3 orang guru kimia dengan hasil ujivaliditas konstruk sebesar 0.88 dan uji validitas konten sebesar 1 dengan kategori valid. Hasil analisis uji praktikalitas guru diperoleh sebesar 87.4% dan praktiklitas siswa sebesar 94% dengan kategori kepraktisan sangat tinggi.Kata Kunci: Media Pembelajaran Interaktif, PowePpoint, R & D, Termokimia

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to develop interactive PowerPoint learning media based on guided inquiry on the acid-base topic and reveal the validity and practicality of the developed media. This research belongs to the type of research and development with 4-D development model (define, design, develop, disseminate). Limited to the develop stage. The instrument of this research is a questionnaire of validity test and practicality test. The subjects of the validity test of this interactive PowerPoint learning media were two chemistry department lecturers and three SMA chemistry teachers. The practicality test subjects of this interactive PowerPoint learning media were three SMA chemistry teachers and sixteen SMAN 1 Batang Kapas students. The data from the validity and practicality tests were analyzed using the Aiken's V formula and descriptive analysis methods. Based on the results of the analysis of the validity test data obtained a score of 0.87 with a valid category. And the results of the analysis of the practicality test data on teachers obtained a value of 90% and for students of 95.4% with a very high practicality category. Abstract

Hematite red pigment has been successfully synthesized from natural iron sand originating from the Sijunjung area, West Sumatra, Indonesia. The purified natural iron sand contains magnetic dioxide particles to produce ferric ions (Fe3+) which can be used as precursors for the synthesis of the red pigment hematite. Hematite red pigment synthesis was carried out by coprecipitation method with NaOH precipitating agent. The red pigment hematite was synthesized by varying the mass solubility of 1 g, 1.5 g, and 2 g which were reacted with 4 M, 5 M, and 6 M HCl to produce a precursor with the highest ferric ion solubility. The precursor with the highest ferric ion solubility was formed from the reaction between 1 g of pure iron sand and 6 M HCl. The second variation was the increase in calcination temperature, namely 650oC, 700 oC, 750oC, and 800oC, with a calcination temperature of 800oC producing the brightest red pigment hematite. The higher the calcination temperature causes an increase in the brightness of the synthetic red pigment hematite. The characterization was carried out using XRD to see the crystal structure of the product and UV-Vis to see the absorption wavelength.

Abstract

Abstract — Research has been carried out on the study of the Pb(II) association complex using KI and Rhodamine B. This study aims to find the optimum conditions for the Pb(II) association complex such as iodine concentration, solution pH, and Rhodamine B concentration. The measurement method used is the UV spectrophotometry method. -Vis and AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer). Pb(II) is reacted with excess iodine to form an anion complex (PbI4)2-. The anion complex formed is then reacted with a Rhodamine B cation complex (RB+ ) to form an association complex [RB]2[PbI4]. The results showed that the optimum condition of iodine for the formation of the anion complex (PbI4)2-  at a time of 2 hours, a concentration of 0.4 M with an absorbance of 0.1069 A at a maximum wavelength of 266 nm. While the optimum conditions for the association complex [RB]2[PbI4]2- occurred at a wavelength of 555 nm with an absorbance of 0.3348 A, pH 5 with an absorbance of 3.4101 A and a concentration of Rhodamine B 0.001% with an absorbance of 2.2798 A. The resulting association complex contacted with Pb(NO3)2- at a concentration of 0.01 ppm succeeded in concentrating by obtaining a concentration of 0.7419 ppm and an absorbance value of 0.0108 A. So that a concentration factor of 74.19 times was obtained.

Abstract

Sintesis nanopartikel Fe3O4 berbahan baku bijih besi dari Nagari Aie Dingin Kabupaten Solok dengan agen pelapisnya asam laurat telah dilakukan menggunakan metode kopresipitasi. Untuk melarutkan bijih besi, digunakan larutan asam klorida (HCl) dengan konsentrasi 12 M sebanyak 20 ml dan larutan amoniak (NH4OH) dengan konsentrasi 6,5 M sebanyak 25 ml digunakan untuk pengendapan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh asam laurat terhadap struktur kristal dan ukuran partikel Fe3O4. Penggunaan asam laurat bertujuan untuk menghambat pertumbuhan partikel dan mencegah oksidasi magnetit menjadi hematit atau maghemit serta menyeragamkan ukuran partikel serbuk hasil sintesis. Variasi asam laurat yang digunakan adalah 0 g, 1,25 g, 2,5 g, 3,75 g, dan 5 g. Instumen untuk karakterisasi yang digunakan yaitu XRF dan XRD. XRF dilakukan untuk mengetahui komposisi unsur yang ada pada bijih besi dan XRD dilakukan untuk menentukan fasa dan ukuran kristal sampel. Berdasarkan persamaan Scherrer-Debay, ukuran kristal untuk masing-masing sampel secara berurutan yaitu 23,3 nm, 20,4 nm, 18,1 nm, 23,3 nm dan 27,2 nm. Dari keseluruhan sampel didapatkan kondisi optimum pada penambahan 2,5 gram asam laurat dengan ukuran kristal 18,1 nm.

Abstract

Menurut kurikulum 2013 materi pelajaran kimia diberikan oleh guru mengunakan pendekatan saintifik, dan berdasarkan sifat materi pelajaran kimia bersifat mutiple representasi. Sehingga tidak bias diajarkan hanya mengunakan buku cetak. Salah satu media pembelajaran yang dapat menampilkan tiga level representasi kimia dan dapat mengunakan pendekatan saintifik adalah media Powerpoint interaktif. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah pengembangan dengan model 4-D (define, design, develop dan diseminate). Media pembelajaran yang dihasilkan Powerpoint interaktif berbasis inkuiri terbimbing yang menyajikan model dalam tiga level representasi kimia. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data validitas diperoleh rata -rata momen kappa sebesar 0,81 dengan kategori kevalidan Tinggi dan hasil data praktikalitas diperoleh rata-rata momen kappa sebesar 0,84 oleh guru dan 0,88 oleh siswa dengan kategori kepraktisan sangat tinggi.
