Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic that has hit Indonesia has changed the learning process at every level of education including in universities, face-to-face learning that was previously carried out has turned into online learning, this is also what causes digital learning at this time to become a necessity. Flipped Learning Model - Guided Inquiry Learning (FGIL) is one of the learning models that can be applied to digital learning models. The type of research used is the educational design reservoir (EDR) which was developed using the plomp model. The subjects of this study consisted of lecturers from Padang State University and students studying general chemistry. The instrument used consists of a validity questionnaire, a practicality questionnaire. Validity data was obtained using Aiken's V formula and practicality data was obtained using the practicality percentage formula. Based on the research conducted, the media validation and content validity values were obtained respectively, while the practicality values obtained were, these results indicate that the FGIL model is valid and practical to use in the learning process

Abstract

Characterization of education in the 4.0 industrial revolution era uses digital technology in learning. Therefore, this study aims to develop a guided inquiry-based flipped classroom learning system using LMS Moodle on chemistry class X SMA/MA and to determine the level of validity and practicality of the product developed. The results of processing the validity test data are 0.88, which indicates a valid category. While the results of processing the practicality test data with an average of 89% for students categorized as very practical and an average of 94% practicality for teachers with very practical categories. Overall, the study results indicate that the guided inquiry-based flipped classroom learning system using LMS moodle on chemical bonding material for class X SMA/MA is valid and practical.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a digital-based learning system so that it can be used to meet the demands of the industrial revolution 4.0 by determining its validity and practicality. The type of research used in this study is Education Design Research (EDR) using the Plomp development model. This research was conducted in one of the public high schools (SMA Negeri 8 Padang) in the 2022/2023 academic year. Data was collected using a validated questionnaire and a practicality questionnaire. The study's results obtained an average validity of 0.87 with a valid category. The results of the practicality test for students have average practicality of 87% in the very practical category and average practicality for teachers of 92% in the very practical category. Overall, from the research results, it can be concluded that the guided inquiry-based flipped classroom learning system using Moodle on colloidal material is valid and practical.

Abstract

Alumina has a wide range of industrial and technical applications and can be extracted from different locations, materials and methods. Napa soil from the South Coast has been used as a raw material for alumina production. This alumina extraction process is the result of modifications to several methods including alkali fusion and hydrothermal methods.Napa soil is calcined at 7500C for 4 hours and washed with hydrochloric acid 1,5 M; 2 M; 2.5 M at 950C, followed by alkali fusion by NaOH 10 M so that it is obtained Al(OH)3 and converted to Al2O3 with the calcination of 11000C. The extraction results are characterized by XRF technology to understand the content of the analyzed sample. The extraction mass of alumina with different concentrations of HCl 1 M; 1,5 M; 2 m; 2.5 M is continuous 14,171 g; 41,127 g; 31,711 g; and 0 g. The result of XRF analysis of alumina extraction showed that the Al2O3 content increased by 68.42%.

Abstract

Initial understanding is the ability to build early based on experience and knowledge possessed by using grammar that is still relevant to new knowledge. This study aims to explore the experience and knowledge of students to determine the initial understanding of the reaction rates topic. The method used is a questionnaire as a research instrument. In total, 100 students from SMA in Malang, East Java were selected using the purposive sampling method. From these questions, the types of questions are grouped based on alternative answers and sub-material questions and include 3 levels of representation, namely macroscopic, sub-microscopic, and symbolic. Then students' answers are presented and then the students' initial abilities are described following the answers given by students. In teaching and learning activities, students often encounter concepts of knowledge that are constructed independently by students so that when new knowledge is given, there are often differences in understanding or differences in concepts with actual information. The quantitative findings show that in general students' understanding of concepts is 'good', especially on the basic concepts of the reaction rate topic. However, in several sub-materials such as reaction orders, reaction order graphs, and chemical reaction equations in the reaction rate concept topic, there are still conceptual errors experienced by students so improvements and emphasis on concepts are needed in some of these sub-materials so the percentage of correct answers from students is greater from the previous.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar berupa LKPD berbasis masalah, serta menguji keefektifan dan kepraktisan bahan ajar yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian Research And Development (R&D), dan menerapkan model Ploomp. Model Ploomp meliputi tiga kegiatan, yaitu; (1) tahap pendahuluan (2) tahap pembentukan prototipe dan (3) tahap evaluasi. Penelitian ini dibatasi pada tahap prototipe, dan evaluasi formatif dibatasi pada tahap review ahli. Untuk penilaian ahli dilakukan oleh 2 dosen kimia dan 3 guru kimia.  Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner validitas, kemudian diolah dengan menggunakan analisis rumus Aiken’s V. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, modul yang dihasilkan memiliki kategori valid dengan nilai V 0,87, namun belum melakukan uji praktikalitasnya.

Abstract

Silica is a mineral with potential for use in a variety of industries. Silica can be produced an extraction process using natural materials such as Napa Soil from the South Coast as the raw material. In this study, the extraction method used is a modification of the alkali fusion and hydrothermal methods. The Napa soil was calcined at 750°C for 4 hours, then reacted with NaOH (2; 4 ; 6; and 8) M  at 95°C to form Na silicate, then 6M HCl was added to form silicic acid and finally the silica gel was dried to form SiO2 . The extracted silica was also characterized using XRF which showed the silica purity level increased to 61.84%. The maximum extraction yield was obtained with an 8 M NaOH concentration of 30.78 %, according to the data. The extracted silica was also analyzed using XRF, which confirmed that the purity level of the silica had enhanced to 61.84 %.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of guided inquiry based student worksheet integrated with flipped classroom system on reaction rate material on students' ability to think critically. This is a further development research with the type of quasi experiment and research design Non-equivalent control group design. In this study, two sample classes were used, namely control class and experiment class with a total sample size of 71 people who were taken using purposive sampling technique. After conducting the research, it is known that the n-gain value for the control class is 0.3 and the experimental class is 0.57, the difference in n-gain value is inferred that there is a difference in treatment in the two sample classes on student critical thinking skills. Furthermore, for hypothesis testing, the ttable value is 1.995 and tcount value is 6.13. Based on the results of data analysis, it is concluded that the use of guided inquiry-based student worksheet integrated with the flipped classroom system is effective in enhancing student critical thinking skills

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar untuk menunjang pembelajaran kurikulum merdeka pada materi konsep dan dampak pemanasan global fase E SMA/MA. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model Plomp dengan jenis penelitian Educational Design Research (EDR). Tahapan penelitian ini dilakukan hingga tahap prototyping phase pada uji small group. Pelaksanaan uji validitas dilakukan oleh tiga orang dosen kimia FMIPA UNPA dan dua orang guru kimi SMAN 8 Padang. Uji praktikalitas dilakukan oleh dua orang guru kimia SMAN 8 Padang dan Sembilan orang peserta didik fase E SMAN 8 Padang. Instrument yang digunakan yaitu angket validitas dan praktikalitas. Hasil uji validitas dianalisis menggunakan rumus Aiken’s V. Hasil dari analisis data diperoleh tingkat validitas bahan ajar yang dikembangkan sebesar 0,88 dengan kategori valid dan hasil analisis data praktikalitas guru dan siswa sebesar 90% dan 88%. Hal ini menandakan bahwa bahan ajar untuk menunjang pembelajaran kurikulum merdeka pada materi konsep dan dampak pemanasan global telah valid dan praktis.

Abstract

This research aims to develop teaching materials to support Merdeka curriculum learning on acid-base phase F SMA/MA material that is valid and practical. This educational development research uses the Plomp model developed by Tjeerd Plomp. The development procedure includes the initial investigation and development or prototyping stages. The subjects in this study were UNP chemistry lecturers, SMA Negeri 2 Padang teachers, and Phase F students of SMA Negeri 2 Padang. The research instruments used validation sheets and teacher and learner response questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that teaching materials to support Merdeka curriculum learning on acid-base phase F SMA / MA material that has been developed and assessed by five expert validators are on valid criteria with an average of 0.86, an efficient category in teacher responses by obtaining a percentage of 87%, and student responses by obtaining a percentage of 97%. This teaching material is proven to increase students' learning motivation and understanding, as well as facilitate teachers and students in the learning process of the Merdeka curriculum.
