Provinsi Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD) telah menunjukkan banyak bukti dalam kiprahnya di dunia pendidikan dan salah satu keistimewaan NAD adalah dalam bidang Pendidikan. Berabad-abad silam pendidikan di NAD, khususnya pendidikan Islam telah diterapkan dalam berbagai jalur, jenis, dan jenjang pendidikan. Pendidikan dayah merupakan primadona dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan di NAD sejak dahulu hingga kini, walau tetap dalam sistem pendidikan nasional. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan, Islam, dan NAD. Aceh (NAD) has shown a lot of evidence in the action in the world of education and one of the privileges of NAD is in the field of Education. Centuries ago, education in Aceh, especially Islamic education has been implemented in a variety of channels, types, and levels of education. Sebuah instansi tentu memiliki seorang pemimpin. Kepemimpinan seorang pemimpin dapat menentukan arah dan tujuan organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan program, strategi, dan faktor hambatan kepemimpinan Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Kota Banda Aceh dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian yaitu Kepala Dinas, Sekretaris, Kepala Sub Bagian, Kepala Bidang dan Kepala Seksi. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa Program peningkatan kinerja pegawai yaitu penerapan SOP, memberikan keteladanan, memberikan kesempatan berdiskusi, mengadakan kegiatan seminar, pelatihan, etos kerja, semangat kerja, pencapaian target, dan kerjasama pegawai. Strategi yang diterapkan yaitu kepemimpinan bersifat situasional bagi pegawai yang komintmen kerjanya biasa, meningkatkan etos kerja, memotivasi para pegawai, menginstruksikan pegawai membuat worksheet, mengunjungi setiap pegawai dan mengajak diskusi, dan menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan demokrasi. Faktor yang menjadi hambatan yaitu keterbatasan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM), pegawai kurang terampil, kurang pengetahuan dan penggunaan teknologi terbatas.

In today's age of globalization, education is very important. The educational provisions that society has developed well enough is undeniable, and the community will be increasingly qualified and able to compete competitively, as well as an era of increasingly fierce and tougher competition in various corners of life's activities. This study aims to analyze the impact of satisfaction and workload on improving teachersâ€™ performance. This study uses quantitative research methods and data collection techniques used as interviews and questionnaires. The audience in this study were all teachers in total 73 teachers. The analytical method was used to multiple linear regression. The simultaneous test results also show that the variables of job satisfaction and workload have a significant effect on the performance of teachers at SMKN 1 Banda Aceh by obtaining an F-count of 92.615. While F-table at the significant level Î± = 5% is 3.033. It shows, based on the statistical test F-count shows the F-count > F-table, with a probability level of 0.000. So, it can be concluded that satisfaction and workload have a positive influence on teacher performance.

Islamic character education aims to continuously shape individual self-improvement to train one's ability to lead a life through Islamic guidance. This study aimed to determine: strengthening programs, strengthening implementation, determinant factors in strengthening, and obstacles faced in strengthening Islamic character education at MAN Aceh Besar. This study used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation study. The research subjects were supervisors, school principals, and teachers. The results showed that: (1) The formulated program was incomplete and not detailed, especially regarding using the budget for teacher training activities. The program that was arranged was still implemented as well as possible by the principal to strengthen Islamic character education; (2) The program was implemented by involving all school personnel; (3) The principal followed up on the determinant factor in strengthening Islamic character education is through monitoring activities appropriately every activity that has been programmed; and (4) Obstacle encountered in strengthening Islamic character education include the lack of available funds for teacher training outside of service hours.

Contribution of Learning Facilities Management Practies and Instructors Competency on Learning Outcomes of Students in Seamanship Education Center. Objectives: This study aimed to determine the influence of learning facilities and instructor competencies on students’ learning outcomes at Seamanship Education Center of Malahayati Aceh, Indonesia. Methods: This study employed a quantitative approach with correlation techniques and questionnaire as an instrument. Data collection techniques: sampling on a non-probability sampling basis. Research sample is 100 students of the Formation Seafarers Training III Nautical and Technical Department. Findings: The results of this study indicate that: (1) there is a significant influence between learning facilities on student learning outcomes partially; (2) there is a significant influence between instructor competencies on student learning outcomes partially.Keywords: learning outcomes, learning facilities, instructor competency DOI: 10.23960/jpp.v10.i1.202004

Principal Strategy in Improving Teacher Performance to Achieve Learning Effectiveness at Public Middle School in Banda Aceh City. Objectives: The aim of this research is to obtain complete and accurate data from the school about principal strategy in improving the learning effectiveness. Methods: This research used decriptive qualitative approach. The technique of data collection used are observation, interview, and documentation. The subject of this research are principals, and teachers. Findings: The result of this research shows that: (1) Principal strategy in the process of program arrangement are creating the team to arrange the program, to build disipline, to make employment contract, to motivate, to training and supervision; (2) The principal in implementing the coaching and development program to improve the learning effectiveness, the principal controlled the program implementation in order to be implemented well; (3) Principal strategy in evaluating the coaching and development program to improve the learning effectiveness is by doing evaluation. Abstract: The purpose of the study was to investigate the leadership style of school principals in improving teacher professional competencies. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection is done through interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The research subjects were principals, vice principals, teachers and supervisors in elementary schools in Gugus Melati, Kuta Alam Subdistrict, Banda Aceh City. The results of the study were found: (1) Principal Leadership Style in improving elementary teacher professional competencies, namely in a participatory (participating) style, the principal also implements an instructional style in improving teacher discipline, and applies a consultative style (selling) in increasing teacher responsibilities; (2) The Role of Principal Leadership in improving teacher professional competencies, namely by opening discussion forums at every opportunity to find solutions, involving teachers in training; and (3) Obstacles to the leadership of school principals in improving teacher professional competence, still lack of teacher awareness in improving their abilities, teachers lacking mastery of IT, not yet active part of some teachers in KKG activities, and lack of facilities and infrastructure that can support effective learning.
