Abstract

Objective: To determine relation between age and resistive index (RI) changes occurring after extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL). Material & Method: We performed a prospective study in Soetomo Hospital Surabaya. Using duplex ultrasonography, RI was determined in 20 patients with calyceal kidney calculi and pelvic kidney calculi. RI of the interlobar renal arteries were measured in the region near the calculi (distance, less than 2 cm), one hour before ESWL and RI was measured again at 1 hour, 3 days and 7 days after ESWL. Changes in RI values and relation with age (≤ 60 years old and > 60 years old) were evaluated. Results: The renal RI increased significantly 1 hour and 3 days after ESWL, but returned to before ESWL values 7 days after ESWL in the both groups. Although there was positive correlation between age and RI before ESWL, but there was no correlation between age and RI changes after ESWL. Conclusion: Renal RI is higher with age > 60 years, after ESWL renal RI showed transient increase which returned to baseline after 7 days.Key words: Color Doppler Ultrasonography, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, renal resistive index, calyceal kidney calculi, pelvic kidney calculi.

Abstract

Introduction. Performance evaluation is the process of evaluating the implementation of the tasks of organizational members, including libraries, in accordance with the performance standards using particular way including instruments. Instruments are needed to document the evaluation carried out by the organization. Therefore, libraries need to pay attention to developa performance evaluation instrument to plan their human resources. This research explains an overview of stages in developing performance evaluation instruments in an organization, particularly libraries. Research methods. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach by involving the existing performance evaluation dimensions. After that, the performance evaluation indicators were developed. Data analysis. The measurement of validity and reliability was valid when the correlation between items was >0.3 and when Cronbach alpha was > 0.6. The measurement of validity and reliability help to support the development of performance evaluation instruments. Results and Discussion. Of the 36 statements, only 27 items were valid and used in performance appraisal instruments. The items are arranged in a model of development of the performance evaluation instruments. Conclusion and recommendations. A good organization needs to pay attention to the right indicators in an assessment instrument. In its application, it is effective to use the 360 ​​degree method, where employees are evaluated by other staff to ensure the balance professional perspective.

Abstract

This community empowerment activity was carried out in the entrepreneurial community supported by the Salatiga City Library and Archives Service. Based on the results of community service activities with the theme "Technical Guidance on Website Development Using Googlesite (Social Inclusion-Based Community Service at the Assistance of the Salatiga City Library and Archives Service) Entrepreneurial Community" which has been carried out, it can be concluded as follows: 1) Participants already have additional information about marketing through online media and how to use it to market the products of small and medium businesses in Salatiga City through the Google site. 2) The participants of small and medium businesses get a management technique method for marketing products through online media. Small and medium businesses in Salatiga City know how to do simple bookkeeping.

Abstract

Abstract Spatial library was one way to be created a conducive environment and comfortable for users. This study aims to be determined whether or not spatial influence on reading interest the library users of Sophia Academic Library (SAL), in Instituto Profissional de Canossa. The typed of the research used is quantitative method, with the helped of the SPSS Program 22. The population of this study was all undergraduate students of the class 2016-2017, from the department of office Management (OM) and Technical Computers and Information (TCI). The result of research showed that spatial layout of the library was very influential on the reading interest library users of the Sophia Academic Library (SAL), with the value of f count 39,148 > f table 3,93. Abstrak Tata ruang perpustakaan adalah salah satu cara untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang dan nyaman bagi pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh tata ruang terhadap minat baca pengguna Perpustakaan Sophia Academic Library (SAL), di Instituto Profissional de Canossa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif, dengan bantuan Program SPSS Versi 22. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa S1 angkatan tahun 2016-2017 dari jurusan Office Management (OM) dan Technical Computers and Information (TCI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penataan ruang perpustakaan sangat berpengaruh pada minat baca pengguna Perpustakaan Sophia Academic Library (SAL), dengan nilai f hitung 39,148 > 3,93 f tabel.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi promosi yang dilakukan Perpustakaan SMA Negeri 1 Salatiga dalam memanfaat-kan media sosial Instagram sebagai sarana promosi. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik observasi dan wawancara. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa pihak perpustakaan memilih Instagram sebagai media promosi ka-rena banyak anggota sekolah yang menggunakan aplikasi Insta-gram. Namun, pengikut Instagram perpustakaan masih terbatas. Dalam wawancara yang dilakukan, Kepala Perpustakaan SMA Negeri 1 Salatiga menyatakan bahwa konten yang tidak menarik menjadi penyebab kurangnya minat siswa untuk mengikuti akun Instagram perpustakaan. Strategi promosi yang dapat digunakan antara lain publikasi, periklanan, kontak perorangan, insentif, dan menciptakan suasana yang kondusif. Dengan memperhatikan strategi promosi yang tepat maka perpustakaan dapat meningkat-kan minat siswa untuk berkunjung dan menggunakan layanan per-pustakaan. Instagram memiliki peran penting dalam mempromosi-kan perpustakaan dengan menampilkan koleksi bahan pustaka dan menginformasikan layanan perpustakaan. Penelitian ini mem-berikan wawasan tentang penggunaan media sosial sebagai sarana promosi perpustakaan dan menekankan pentingnya konten yang menarik dan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas promosi perpustakaan di era teknologi informasi.

Abstract

This research aims to assess the influence of circulation services on patron satisfaction at the Bengkayang Library using a quantitative method. This method is considered scientific because it is rational, systematic, measurable, and objective. The study will depict the impact of circulation services on patron satisfaction at the Department of Library and Archives of Bengkayang Regency, employing statistical analysis through the SPSS data processing program version 26. The field study encompasses descriptive statistics involving research data, including an overview of respondents, research variables, measurement tool tests, and classical assumption tests. Ultimately, the research results indicate a positive correlation between circulation services and patron satisfaction. Incremental improvements in circulation services can enhance patron satisfaction at the Bengkayang Library. Questionnaire distribution results show that patrons are satisfied with circulation services, with an average score of 4.00 falling into the "satisfied" category. Recommendations: 1. Enhance the performance of library staff through specialized training to provide optimal service to patrons. 2. Improve circulation service facilities, including reading rooms, cutting-edge technology, and infrastructure such as computers and free Wi-Fi. 3. Add the latest library materials to attract patron interest. 4. Enhance the efficiency of circulation unit services to expedite the book borrowing and return processes. 5. Refine the book borrowing process to ensure smoother transactions without obstacles. By implementing these recommendations, it is expected that the influence of circulation services on patron satisfaction can be enhanced. Increased patron satisfaction will bring benefits to various aspects of circulation services, including facilities, service quality, and more.

Abstract

Perpustakaan sebagai sumber informasi dan ilmu pengetahuan tidak hanya dihimpun,  diolah, dan disimpan namun perlu untuk disebarkan kepada masyarakat. Upaya untuk menyebarluaskan keberadaan perpustakaan tidak terbatas pada cara pemasaran konvensional (umum), tetapi dapat melalui berita dari mulut ke mulut. Diharapkan melalui cara tersebut minat berkunjung ke perpustakaan dapat meningkat. Oleh karena itu, peneliti tertarik untuk meneliti hubungan antara WOM dengan minat berkunjung pada perpustakaan. Analisa menggunakan statistic deskriptif dan regresi linier sederhana. Data yang diperoleh diproses menggunakan SPSS 22. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh  berita dari mulut ke mulut terhadap minat berkunjung ke perpustakaan.

This paper explores the evolving nature of leadership amidst rapid technological advancements and socio-economic shifts. It highlights the limitations of traditional leadership models in addressing complex challenges posed by digital transformation and global disruptions. The study synthesizes research on the intersection of transformational and adaptive leadership, emphasizing the need for an integrated approach. Findings suggest that leaders who combine transformational vision with adaptive strategies can better navigate technological changes, foster innovation, and enhance organizational resilience. This systematic review also outlines significant challenges, such as balancing technological integration and human factors, and offers insights into effective leadership practices in the digital era.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Library institutions are also known as educational tourist attractions. In this context, libraries provide information and knowledge sources for the community. Taman Baca Masyarakat (TBM) has a role in developing knowledge at the community level. Apart from that, a more critical role is TBM's efforts to empower the community through knowledge accessed at the local TBM. Through procuring and selecting appropriate collection materials, TBM can provide information and knowledge that the public can access. The information and knowledge accessed can later be implemented to empower local communities. Implementation of Community Service is focused on procuring collection materials from TBM Suko, Salatiga, so that it can impact community empowerment later. Implementation is carried out in four stages: location survey, discussion with TBM Suko management, analysis and selection of collection materials, and procurement of collection materials through purchasing, giving or seeking donations/gifts/deposits. ABSTRAK Lembaga perpustakaan dikenal juga sebagai tempat wisata edukasi. Dalam kontek ini perpustakaan sebagai penyedia sumber informasi dan pengetahuan bagi masyarakat. Taman Baca Masyarakat (TBM) berperan bagi pengembangan pengetahuan ditingkat masyarakat. Selain itu, peran yang lebih penting penting adalah upaya TBM dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui ilmu pengetahuan yang diakses pada TBM setempat. Melalui pengadaan dan seleksi bahan koleksi yang tepat TBM dapat menyediakan informasi dan pengetahuan yang dapat diakses masyarakat. Informasi dan pengetahuan yang diakses nantinya dapat diimplementasikan guna pemberdayaan pada masyarakat setempat. Pelaksaan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat dititik beratkan pada pengadaan bahan bahan koleksi TBM Suko, Salatiga agar nantinya dapat berimbas pada pemberdayaan masyarakat. Pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui empat tahap yaitu: survei lokasi, diskusi dengan pengelola TBM Suko, analisa dan seleksi bahan koleksi dan kegiatan pengadaan bahan koleksi melalui pembelian, pemberian atau mengusahakan sumbangan/ hadiah/ titipan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat penggunaan koleksi perpustakaan di SMAN 1 Salatiga. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode dokumentasi, di mana peneliti secara langsung memeriksa bagaimana penggunaan koleksi perpustakaan tercermin dalam data sirkulasi Perpustakaan SMAN 1 Salatiga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat penggunaan bahan pustaka di SMAN 1 Salatiga cenderung rendah. Ini dapat dilihat dari kurangnya intensitas penggunaan, frekuensi penggunaan, dan jumlah koleksi yang digunakan. Beberapa faktor yang memengaruhi rendahnya tingkat penggunaan tersebut adalah kurangnya minat terhadap sebagian besar koleksi dan pengaruh pandemi COVID-19. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perpustakaan perlu meninjau kembali koleksi yang paling diminati oleh pengguna dan melakukan promosi yang lebih efektif kepada pemustaka mengenai koleksi yang tersedia di perpustakaan. Hal ini bertujuan agar pemustaka lebih tertarik untuk mengunjungi perpustakaan dan memanfaatkan koleksi yang telah disediakan.
