Abstract

Abstract :  At this time, a business operating model that is growing is E-commerce.. E-commerce is a way of shopping online, facilitating the buying and selling goods and services to ease daily life. In Lahat Regency, many residents work as rice and coffee farmers, organized under an entity known as the Farmers' Group Association (GAPOKTAN) of Lahat Regency. GAPOKTAN manages all the harvests produced by the rice and coffee farmers. The harvests are traditionally sold through stores, where buyers visit to select and purchase the produce. Implementing e-commerce within GAPOKTAN Lahat Regency can be a viable solution to enhance the efficiency of the sales and purchasing processes. This research is designed using the Rapid Application Development methodology with a prototyping approach, utilizing the PHP programming language. The system design is modeled using UML, including class, use case, and activity diagrams. The expected outcome of this research is a system that improves the trading process and data management for rice and coffee through E-commerce in GAPOKTAN Lahat Regency. Abstract

Efficient online transactions now thrive through websites (e-commerce) and mobile apps (m-commerce). With the growth of m-commerce, marketers aim to boost profits by understanding impulsive buying behavior. This study investigates factors influencing online impulse buying (OIB) in m-commerce by analyzing key variables. Data were gathered via questionnaires from 449 Indonesian consumers who had made digital payments and impulsive purchases using smartphones. The framework includes sales promotion (SP), attractive advertising (EA), and mobile digital payment systems (MDPS) as situational factors; hedonic shopping motivation (HSM) as a motivational factor; and impulsiveness (I) and smartphone addiction (SA) as personal traits. Analysis used partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM), with gender, income, and smartphone usage time as control variables. Results show that EA, MDPS, HSM, I, and SA significantly influence OIB, while SP does not. For consumer segmentation, t-distributed stochastic neighbor embedding (t-SNE) outperformed ISOmap and principal component analysis (PCA), achieving a silhouette score of 0.72. A paired t-test (p<0.01) confirmed t-SNE’s superior clustering accuracy. These findings reveal that t-SNE better captures consumer segmentation patterns, helping businesses refine marketing strategies and deepen their understanding of psychological drivers behind impulsive m-commerce purchases.

Abstract

This research conducts a quantitative analysis of social media usage habits and their effects among internet users, utilizing a secondary dataset of 999 respondents drawn from the Social Media Usage Survey available on Kaggle. Employing a descriptive–survey design, the study adopts a quantitative approach to examine behavioral tendencies, demographic variations, and relationships among variables such as usage duration, user motivation, privacy awareness, and intentions to reduce social media activity. Data analysis was performed using Python, incorporating descriptive statistics, crosstab analysis, and visual analytics through the Pandas, Matplotlib, and Seaborn libraries. The findings reveal that social media is deeply embedded in everyday routines, with users averaging 3.5 hours of screen time per day. Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter/X emerge as the most frequently used platforms, serving purposes that include entertainment, information access, and business promotion. Video-based content dominates user preferences, reflecting the broader global media consumption trend. Additionally, 69% of respondents acknowledge that social media influences their purchasing behavior, while 65% express moderate to high levels of privacy concern. Notably, about 68% of users report an intention to reduce their screen time, indicating a growing awareness of the need for digital balance. Correlation analysis shows that individuals with longer screen durations and heightened privacy concerns are more likely to intend reducing their usage, suggesting that excessive engagement may drive self-regulatory behavior. These insights illustrate the dual nature of social media—as a medium for empowerment and connectivity, yet simultaneously a potential source of psychological fatigue. Overall, this study contributes empirical evidence supporting efforts to foster healthy and responsible digital engagement, enriching the broader discourse on digital well-being, online literacy, and sustainable technology use in the modern digital landscape.

Abstract

Many companies have implemented technology in conducting their business, one of them is by using information systems in managing their business. The business process that runs on the Konveksi A&N is still manual because the Konveksi A&N has not implemented or is familiar with information systems like other companies has. This causes all the data collection process of goods, production, and transactions are all documented in different books, making it possible for errors in recording and calculating the data. In addition, the owner also needs to come directly to the location to find out new data or updated data where this takes more time. This research aims to establish a web-based system that can make business processes in Konveksi A&N more effective. This web-based system will be built using a system development methodology in the form of a prototyping method that uses the Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) programming language. System modeling was developed using UML 2.5, use case diagrams, activity diagrams, and class diagrams. The final result of this study is a website-shaped information system that can document all data contained in the Konveksi A&N such as the existence of a master data that contains all the data of convection, production data, and also transaction data to facilitate the owner in checking back all activities that are occurs in Konveksi A&N. There are also some reports about the transaction that can display information related to data contained in the system.

Abstract

E-Commerce is a new concept commonly described as the process of buying and selling goods or services over the World Wide Web or the exchange of products, services, and information through information networks, including the internet. Tokopedia, one of the largest e-commerce platforms in Indonesia, markets many products, including electronics. This study analyzes laptop data from Tokopedia. The vast history of purchase data and customer data in Tokopedia's database offers various ways to process it. One approach is using logistic regression models. The logistic regression results on the three features (price_cat, memory_size, and merk_cat) indicate that all three can be used to create logistic regression equations to determine laptop purchase probability. However, the regression calculations show that the r^2 value for price_cat is the highest at 0.82, indicating that price_cat significantly influences the probability of purchasing a laptop.
