Abstract

Electronic waste (e-waste) has become environmental issue in Indonesia. Several tons of e-waste was generated each year. Available landfills will not be sufficient to accommodate e-waste that people produce. Waste bank become one of many solutions to overcome this problem. Implementation of pilot project in waste bank is needed to see the prospects of e-waste collection in waste bank. Thus, the goal of this research is to design a value chain system for e-waste collection prospect in waste bank and system simulation as the foundation for implementing a pilot project. Simulations on 2 scenarios had been done to determine profitability of e-waste collection’s pilot project in waste bank. Based on simulation, it is known that there is profit generated from e-waste recycling process for 2 scenarios. Ranges of profit for 2 months are Rp. 7.963.879 - Rp. 40.447.047 for scenario 1 and Rp. 7.952.394 – 40.435.561 for scenario 2. If only PCB component that could be recycled, profit for 2 months still can be generated in the range Rp. 689.964 – Rp. 6.398.486 for scenario 1 and Rp. 678.478 – Rp. 6.387.000 for scenario 2. Thus, implementation of e-waste collection’s pilot project in waste bank is profitable.

Abstract

Ba0.6Sr0.4Fe12-zMnzO19 (z = 0,1,2, and 3) were successfully synthesized by solid state reaction through a mechanical milling method. Stoichiometric quantities of analytical-grade MnCO3, BaCO3, Fe2O3, and SrCO3 precursors with purity greater than 99% were mixed. It was found that the best phase composition, having an absorber with high performance, was Ba0.6Sr0.4Fe11MnO19. Refinement of the X-ray diffraction patterns revealed that the Ba0.6Sr0.4Fe11MnO19 was single-phase and had a hexagonal structure (P63/mmc). Mechanical milling of Ba0.6Sr0.4Fe11MnO19 powders produced particles with a mean size of ~850 nm. SEM images revealed the morphology of the particles as being aggregates of fine grains. The magnetic properties of the Ba0.6Sr0.4Fe11MnO19 particles showed a low coercivity and a high remanent magnetization. The Ba0.6Sr0.4Fe11MnO19 has certain microwave absorber properties in the frequency range of 8-14 GHz, with an absorbing peak value of "‘8 dB and -10 dB at frequencies of 8.5 and 12.5 GHz, respectively. The study concludes that the Ba0.6Sr0.4Fe12-zMnzO19 that was successfully synthesized is a good candidate for use as an electromagnetic absorber material.

Abstract

Some would claim that science and technology contradict the life of faith, or that the one is more important or higher than the other. Such dualism/dichotomy may result from the pressure of atheism or the friction between various convictions in which scientists work. This writing suggests a healthier attitude towards science and technology for people of faith, where science, technology, and faith are approached without the crippling sacred/secular dichotomy. The concept of cultural mandate (Kuyper) provides a model for cultivating intellectuality, passion and humility as a divine mandate in faithful stewardship towards nature. A well-rounded scientist or engineer must be also aware of the ethical challenges in his or her field.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRAK: Ada yang mengklaim bahwa sains dan teknologi berkontradiksi dengan kehidupan iman, atau bahwa yang satu lebih penting atau lebih tinggi dari yang lain. Dualisme/dikotomi demikian dapat muncul dari tekanan paham ateisme atau gesekan dari berbagai keyakinan tempat ilmuwan beraktivitas. Tulisan ini mengusulkan suatu sikap yang lebih sehat terhadap sains dan teknologi untuk orang percaya, di mana sains, teknologi dan iman didekati tanpa dikotomi sakral/sekuler yang melumpuhkan. Konsep mandat budaya (Kuyper) menyediakan model untuk mengusahakan intelektualitas, gairah & kerendahan hati sebagai mandat ilahi dalam penatalayanan yang setia kepada alam. Seorang ilmuwan atau insinyur yang lengkap juga harus peka pada berbagai tantangan etika dalam bidangnya.

Abstract

Accreditation is a process to ensure the quality of a university and study program. There are several factors that determine the quality standard of accreditation. One of them is the time of graduation. However, there is no means that can be used to predict early student graduation time. Therefore, this study aims to create a means that can predict early graduation time. In this study, data mining methods were used, namely the Naïve Bayes algorithm. After that, data processing and application development will be carried out using the Python program. The data used in the data mining process is three years of historical data and the data used for the trial are active student data for the second and third years. There are 5 types of patterns with an accuracy value of 81%, 87%, 92%, 92%, and 95%.

Abstract

Kegiatan PkM ini adalah kelanjutan dari kegiatan PKM tentang Business Mentoring di UMKM Cemilan Keripik milik Ibu Supiyah yang terletak di Desa Kranggan Tangerang Selatan. Kegiatan PkM di UMKM tersebut sudah dirintis sejak tahun 2018. Di UMKM Cemilan Keripik ini diproduksi berbagai macam keripik dan makanan ringan. Permasalahan yang dihadapi di UMKM ini adalah para pekerja khususnya di bagian penggorengan keripik pisang mengalami sakit punggung karena harus duduk di atas kotak kayu selama kurang lebih 5- 6 jam sehari. Hasil analisis menggunakan Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) untuk postur kerja awal, diketahui memiliki skor akhir sebesar 5-7. Hal ini berarti postur kerja tersebut membahayakan pekerja. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut sudah dirancang dan dibuat stasiun kerja baru berupa meja dan kursi yang ergonomis, agar pekerja dapat melakukan pekerjaannya dengan lebih aman dan nyaman. Dengan adanya stasiun kerja baru tersebut, skor RULA turun menjadi 3 yang berarti postur kerja yang baru lebih aman bagi pekerja.

Abstract

Permasalahan sampah selalu ada dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Selain dapat merusak lingkungan bila tidak dikelola dengan baik, sampah sebenarnya juga mempunyai nilai ekonomis, bila dapat didaur ulang. Untuk membangun kesadaran dan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan, maka tim PkM Prodi Teknik Industri menyelenggarakan kegiatan PkM recycling program pengumpulan tabungan sampah secara berkelanjutan yang sudah dimulai sejak 2016. Kegiatan ini juga merupakan bagian terintegrasi dari mata kuliah industri ramping dan hijau, dimana mahasiswa mempelajari bagaimana industri dapat menerapkan prinsip lean and green manufacturing untuk meminimasi limbah/waste serta melakukan penghematan sumber daya alam mulai dari pengadaan bahan baku sampai distribusi barang jadi bahkan sampai tahap penggunaan produk oleh konsumen. Dalam kegiatan ini, para dosen dan mahasiswa Teknik Industri, melakukan pengumpulan sampah daur ulang berupa botol PET, kertas dan kardus, kemasan plastik lainnya. Pengumpulan dan pemilahan sampah dilakukan di kampus serta rumah masing-masing. Sampah yang terkumpul dan terpilah kemudian disetorkan sebagai tabungan sampah kepada mitra pengepul SAMPAHQU. Selama periode pengumpulan sampah yang sudah berlangsung, didapatkan total tabungan sampah sebesar 1614,7 kg dengan jenis sampah terbanyak adalah kertas HVS bekas sebesar 71,2%.

Abstract

Sejak Pandemi COVID 19 jumlah mahasiswa baru pada perguruan tinggi mengalami penurunan termasuk jumlah mahasiswa pada Universitas XXX. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan jumlah mahasiswa baru yang mendaftar dapat dilakukan dengan tindakan WOM. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat faktor yang mempengaruhi tindakan WOM mahasiswa sebagai salah satu cara dalam melakukan tindakan marketing. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan mengumpulkan data yang diperlukan dengan kuesioner. Kuesioner dibagikan dengan teknik random sampling kepada 210 responden mahasiswa angkatan 2019, 2020 dan 2021 Universitas XXX. Analisis data menggunakan structural equation modelling (SEM) menggunakan pemodelan jalur partial least square (PLS). Berdasarkan hasil yang didapatkan, diketahui bahwa Service quality berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Trust sebesar 50,6%. Perceived value juga memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap Trust 38,4%. Variabel Trust setelah dilakukan pengolahan data juga memiliki pengaruh hubungan yang positif dan juga signifikan pada variabel dependen penelitian yaitu WOM sebesar 18,5%. Selanjutnya, didapatkan juga hasil dari penelitian bahwa kedua variabel independen penelitian ini yaitu Service quality dan Perceived value memiliki hubungan yang berpengaruh langsung secara positif terhadap tindakan WOM secara berturut sebesar 21,1% dan 46,6%. Trust memiliki efek mediasi partial yang berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap variabel independen yaitu Service quality dan perceive value dengan variabel dependen yaitu Word of Mouth.

Abstract

Currently, household waste management has been managed by a waste bank so that the existing daily waste is collected and sorted to be recycled to make the environment better and less pollution-free. In carrying out its activities, the Garbage Bank in South Tangerang City experienced problems starting from the process of depositing waste from customers, the process of recording transactions and reporting transactions that occurred, modifying so that customer data collection, types of waste, and existing reports were still not well organized and there were no media. Communication can be used between the waste bank and waste bank customers. This research will design a waste bank information system for waste management in South Tangerang from the existing problems. The Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology with the prototyping method is used in designing a mobile-based integrated waste bank application. The proposed system uses UML (Unified Modeling Language) modeling. The results of this study are an integrated waste bank application that can make a good contribution, namely helping the community to deposit their household waste and assisting waste bank managers in making effective and efficient recording and reporting
