Abstract

Background: Stroke is the main cause of morbidities and  the third leading cause of death in the world, also promote the functional disorder of the patient. The increase of hematocrit level is one of  risk factor the occurrence of ischemic stroke, by increasing the viscosity and decreasing blood perfusion to the brain. National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) is a parameter used to measure the severity of acute ischemic stroke. This study was proposed to know correlation between hematocrit levels and severity of acute ischemic stroke patients in neurolog ward Dr. Moewardi Hospital. Methods: This was an observational study with cross sectional analytic approach. A total of 44 subjects were selected by purposive sampling, they were acute ischemic stroke patients in neurology ward Dr. Moewardi Hospital. Data were collected by direct interview, examined the patients with NIHSS score and from medical record to got the value of hematocrit. Data analysis used multiple logistic regression models and were processed with Statistical Product and Service Solutions(SPSS) 17.00 forWindows. Results: This study showed a positive correlation and statistically significant between hematocrit levels and severity of acute ischemic stroke patients (r = 0,408; p < 0,009) with moderate correlation strength. Multiple logistic regression analysis showed OR = 8,086; CI 95% 1,108 – 59,005; and p = 0,039. Confounding factor, e.g smoking, and blood sugar have been controlled. Conclusions: There is moderate correlation between hematocrit levels and severity of acute ischemic stroke  patients in neurology ward Dr. Moewardi Hospital. Abstract

Indonesia is a country with the highest Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Southeast Asia. Ngawi Regency itself still had high maternal mortality rate that recorder six pregnant women died in 2023, so this is still a concern for the local Ngawi Regency Government. Knowledge is one of many factors that influences the occurrence of maternal mortality in Indonesia. This study is descriptive and aims to evaluating level of knowledge about danger sign in pregnancy on maternal in Ngrawe district, Ngawi. The data used were primary data obtained from pretest and posttest using a questionnaire. The results of pretest were in the sufficient category on 18 samples (45%), 5 samples (12.5%) in poor category, and 17 others samples (42 .5%) in good category. And the postetst showed good result that all samples were able to answer all research questionnaire questions with correct answers The conclusion of this study is that knowledge is main factor to improve good labour in maternal and decrease MMR.

Abstract

Naturally, one of the causes of crop failure in agriculture is flooding brought on by unchecked water overflow, particularly during the rainy season. Crop failure is a common source of complaints from farmers because, in addition to making it harder for them to sell their harvests, it decreases the price at which rice is sold to customers, which reduces the amount of people who purchase rice. This project aims to develop a hybrid dam water level control system prototype for paddy field irrigation. In this instance, the innovative flood monitoring and control system integrates Blynk as a user interface that can be accessible via software, along with an ESP 32 monitoring unit and a NodeMCU 8266 controller. like smartphone devices. The ESP 32 controls servo motor 1 to open the dam door in the event of flooding. In addition, the ESP 32 monitors the dam's water level using the I2C LCD and alerts the user with a bell. The NodeMCU 8266 functions as a link to the ultrasonic sensor to relay the water level data to the ESP 32. Through the Blynk application, the user can manually control Servo motor 2 to open and close the dam door with configurable water level limitations. The results of the studies indicate that this system functions flawlessly, from setting up a warning system to connecting tools. The system may be manually operated by making use of microcontroller technology.

Abstract

Background: Conservative kidney management (CKM) is an increasingly adopted alternative to dialysis for patients with end-stage kidney disease (ESKD), emphasizing quality of life. However, the prevalence of physical and psychological symptoms in this population remains under-evaluated.Objective: This systematic review aims to synthesize the prevalence, severity, and clinical impact of pain and psychological distress (depression, anxiety, and fatigue) in conservatively managed ESKD patients and to evaluate the efficacy of psychosocial interventions. Methods: Following PRISMA guidelines, a comprehensive search of PubMed, Embase, and Scopus was conducted for studies published between January 2015 and July 2025. Methodological quality was appraised using the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale (NOS). Eligible studies included adults ( 18 years) with ESKD managed without dialysis. Results: Seventeen studies () were included. Symptom prevalence was high: pain (38–72%), depression (25–55%), anxiety (19–48%), and fatigue (40–75%). Up to 60% of patients reported moderate-to-severe bone pain, and 70% experienced significant functional impairment due to fatigue. All symptom domains significantly correlated with diminished quality of life (KDQOL scores, ). Psychosocial interventions—including hope therapy, mindfulness-based resilience, and integrated palliative care—consistently demonstrated significant improvements in psychological outcomes ( to ) and emotional well-being.Conclusion: Pain and psychological distress represent a substantial burden in the CKM population. Integrating routine multidisciplinary assessment and evidence-based psychosocial support is essential to optimize patient-centered outcomes in conservative kidney care.
