Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of mathematical communication skills of PGSD IKIP Siliwangi students. The purpose of this study is to improve the mathematical communication skills of PGSD IKIP Siliwangi students through the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach with the help of teaching aids. The specific target to be achieved in this research is the formation of teaching materials that are appropriate, practical, efficient, and effective, and can also develop the productivity of PGSD IKIP Siliwangi students. This research uses a quantitative approach and uses a quasi-experimental method. The population in this study was PGSD IKIP Siliwangi students, while the sample consisted of 70 students who were divided into 35 students in class A1 of 2017 as an experimental group and 35 students in class A2 in 2017 as a control group. The instrument used consisted of written tests regarding mathematical communication skills and the practice of making teaching aids, observations and interviews. The results showed that there was an increase in mathematical communication skills of PGSD students using the RME approach better than those using ordinary learning.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the condition of students in elementary schools studied, namely the low student learning outcomes and the lack of student activity in participating in learning. The results of observations made before the study showed that students could not apply the concept in solving everyday mathematical problems. Besides that, learning is often independent of reallife contexts.Based on the above, the researcher tried to apply the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach in angular learning. This research was carried out aimed at knowing the description of student learning activities and how student learning outcomes in learning the concept of angles through the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach. This classroom action research consists of three cycles. Each cycle consists of one learning action. Every action is carried out starting from planning, action, observation and interview, action analysis and reflection. The object of the study was students at 4th grade in SDN 104 Langensari-Senanggalih Kecamatan Coblong Bandung City. The average scores of student activity in each cycle is: cycle I reached 73.2; cycle II reaches 76.6; and cycle III reaches 81.3. These results show that student activities during learning is increasing so that in the final action, learning activities more dominated by students. While the average scores of student learning outcomes in each cycle is: cycle I reached 68.4; cycle II reaches 73.3; and cycle III reaches 76.8. These results show that students have understood the concept of angles and have the ability to apply concepts in solving problems in daily live. Therefore can be concluded that Contextual Teaching and Learning approach in angle learning can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The background of this study is because the learning process that has not been maximized and students' learning achievement about simple fractions is still relatively low. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which the use of concrete object props can improve the learning outcomes of third grade elementary school students in mathematics subjects in simple fractions. The method in this study, using Classroom Action Research. Classroom Action Research conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle has 4 stages. Data collection techniques used are observation, questionnaire, test, and attitude scale. The subjects in this study were 30 students of class III SD Islam Mutiara Hati, District of Antapani Tengah, Bandung. Based on the results of the study, the researchers concluded that the use of concrete object props in simple fraction materials can improve student learning outcomes and activeness as well as students' responses to learning are quite positive.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemahaman konsep adalah sebuah kompetensi dimana harus dikuasai siswa kelas V SD dalam mata pelajaran matematika dengan baik. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini agar dapat mengetahui gambaran model Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dalam kemampuan pemahaman pada siswa kelas V. Siswa cenderung sulit memahami materi bangun ruang karena kurangnya kemampuan siswa belajar aktif disebabkan guru masih kurang efektif dalam menggunakan model pembelajaran. Model pembelajaran CTL digunakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, hal ini supaya peneliti dapat menjelaskan dan memperbaiki kualitas pembelajaran khususnya pada kemampuan pemahaman konsep materi bangun ruang. Berdasarkan penelitian diperoleh hasil skenario pembelajaran kemampuan pemahaman konsep pada siswa SD kelas V melalui model CTL menunjukkan peningkatan persentase ketuntasan siswa yang signifikan dari jumlah hasil pretest 62% golongan kurang baik menjadi 82% pada hasil posttest golongan sangat baik. Respon guru menyatakan peneliti sangat baik dalam mengajar kemampuan pemahaman melalui model CTL. Respon siswa menyatakan pendekatan CTL sangat menyenangkan karena siswa mampu mempelajari bangun ruang berdasarkan kejadian yang telah dihadapi siswa pada kehidupannya. Kesulitan siswa SD kelas V dalam menyelesaikan tugas-tugas dalam kemampuan pemahaman konsep terdapat pada indikator pemahaman konsep dalam pemahaman konsep bangun ruang prisma segitiga.

Abstract

Pembentukan karakter seseorang tidak dapat dilakukan dengan mudah, hal tersebut memerlukan proses yang tidak sebentar. Sedangkan pada tahun 2020 sedang maraknya kasus COVID-19 tersebar, sehingga membuat pembelajaran harus dilakukan secara daring. Tentunya hal ini dapat menjadi peluang terhambatnya pembentukan karakter siswa, terlebih pada siswa Sekolah Dasar. Banyak orangtua yang mengeluhkan tentang anaknya yang hanya mendapatkan pembelajaran secara akademik saja, sedangkan orangtua terkadang tidak bisa selalu mendampinginya untuk menyelesaikan tugas-tugasnya serta dalam proses pembentukan karakter siswa SD ini masih ada kendala. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk membantu orangtua membentuk karakter anaknya yang masih di Sekolah Dasar. Pengabdian ini merupakan penyuluhan yang diadakan di sekolah dan nantinya akan disampaikan kemudian pada orangtua. Berdasarkan hasil interview, dapat disimpulkan bahwa orangtua siswa SD tersebut merasa terbantu dan anak-anak mereka jadi lebih terarah dalam pembentukan karakternya.Kata kunci: COVID-19, Pembentukan Karakter, Orangtua Siswa

Abstract

Abstract. Port as a place used as a ship to lean, get on and off passengers, or unload goods, or is a terminal and berthing for ships equipped with supporting activity facilities and as a place for intra and intermodal transportation transfers. Kijing Terminal Port is built in the middle of the sea between Temaju Island and Kijing Beach, this terminal is planned to be operational in 2020, and will be dredging to a minimum depth of -15m (fifteen meters). The purpose of this study is to determine the achievement of the operational target of Kijing Mempawah Port in 2023. The approach methods in this study are one time survey and exploratory, hinterland analysis method with LQ analysis, port loading and unloading achievements using simple exponential methods and descriptive analysis, as well as traffic analysis and traffic characteristics. The results of the analysis of loading and unloading activities in 2022 missed far from what was projected in the 2016 Pontianak RIP, the existing condition of commodities from 2020 to 2021 experienced an upward trend. The coverage of kijing port stewards provides several additions to the city district in 2027. Singkawang City is not included in the hinterland area of Kijing Port. The geometric condition of the existing road in 2022 reaches 80 km / h, in full operation the speed of existing goods vehicles reaches 58 km / h, with DS 0.00056. Abstrak. Pelabuhan sebagai tempat yang digunakan sebagai kapal bersandar, naik turun penumpang, ataupun bongkar muataan barang, ataupun merupakan terminal dan tempat berlabuh kapal yang dilengkapi dengan fasilitas kegiatan penunjang serta sebagai tempat perpindahan intra dan antarmoda transportasi. Pelabuhan Terminal Kijing di bangun di tengah laut antara Pulau Temaju dan Pantai Kijing, terminal ini direncanakan pada tahun akan beroperasi pada tahun 2020, dan akan dilakukan pengerukan  hingga kedalaman minimal -15m (lima belas meter). Tujuan  dari penelitian ini yaitu Mengetahui capaian target operasional Pelabuhan Kijing Mempawah pada tahun 2023. Metode pendekatan dalam penelitian ini yaitu one time survey dan eksploratoris, metode analisis hinterland dengan analisis LQ, capaian bongkar muat pelabuhan menggunakan metode eksponensial sederhana dan analisis deskriptif, serta analisis lalu lintas dan karakteristik lalu lintas.Hasil analisis dari kegiatan bongkar muat tahun 2022 meleset jauh dari yang di proyeksikan pada RIP Pontianak 2016, kondisi eksisting komoditas 2020 hingga 2021 mengalami tren kenaikan. Cakupan pelayan pelabuhan kijing mengahskan beberapa penambahan pada kabupaten kota tahun 2027. Kota singkawang tidak termasuk dalam wilayah hinterland pelabuhan kijing. Kondisi geometric jalan eksisting tahun 2022 mencapai 80 km/jam, pada beroperasi penuh kecepatan kendaraan barang eksisting mencapai 58 km/jam, dengan DS 0,00056.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pengetahuan siswa pada muatan seni budaya dan prakarya (SBdP) khususnya seni tari dan hasil praktek menari siswa belum sepenuhnya terampil dalam menciptakan pola lantai yang sesuai pada tari kreasi daerah serta belum sepenuhnya terampil dalam membuat properti tari kreasi daerah serta guru menggunakan metode konvensional dalam pembelajaran seni tari dan hanya menggunakan buku tematik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh hasil peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam seni tari siswa kelas V sekolah dasar, kesulitan siswa kelas V sekolah dasar dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam seni tari, dan kesulitan guru dalam penerapan model visual auditori kinestetik (VAK) yang digunakan dalam penelitian. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah mix method dengan desain sequential explanatory design. Lokasi penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN Margaluyu. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V Ssekolah dasar sebanyak 15 siswa. Data-data diperoleh dari tes (pretest dan posttest), lembar angket, observasi dan wawancara. Dari data kuantitatif yang diperoleh menunjukkan ada peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam seni tari pada siswa kelas V dengan nilai rata-rata awal 49 menjadi 85. Adapun dari data kualitatif diperoleh hasil, dimana kesulitan yang dihadapi siswa adalah sulitnya siswa menciptakan gerak dengan tempo cepat. Untuk kegiatan pembelajaran berdasarkan hasil observasi guru menunjukkan hasil yang baik, meski masih ada beberapa kesulitan yang dihadapi yaitu guru masih kurang dalam pengorganisasian kelas secara aktif. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif, Visual Auditori Kinestetik dan Seni Tari.

Abstract

The Friday Pahing tradition is one of the local wisdoms that is still preserved by the people of Purworejo Village, Suruh District, Semarang Regency. This tradition not only has spiritual value, but also plays a role in strengthening the social and cultural identity of the local community. This study aims to analyze the meaning of the Friday Pahing tradition and explore the cultural management model applied in its preservation. A qualitative approach with an ethnographic study method is used to understand the dynamics of this tradition from the perspective of the local community. The results of the study show that the Friday Pahing tradition has three main dimensions, namely religious, social, and economic values. In terms of management, the preservation of this tradition involves the role of traditional leaders, religious figures, and the community through a pattern of cultural transmission that is hereditary. The cultural management model applied is adaptive, where this tradition continues to exist despite facing the challenges of modernization. This study confirms that the sustainability of local traditions is highly dependent on the active participation of the community and support from various parties in efforts to preserve it.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of school committees and community supervision on school performance in the context of school supervision and improving the quality of education at SMPN 3 Numfor Barat. School committees play a vital role in the school management framework in various countries, responsible for offering support, overseeing activities, and promoting the interests of schools related to educational services for students. In contrast, community supervision requires the involvement of parents, residents, and other stakeholders in monitoring and assisting school performance. This study aims to investigate how partnerships between school committees and community supervision can affect the quality of education in schools. The application of a qualitative descriptive approach using interviews, observation, and documentation methods. Including a literature review, secondary data analysis, and field studies to assess how the role of school committees and community supervision affects the quality of education. The research findings indicate that the School Committee and community supervision at SMPN 3 Numfor Barat play a vital role through various initiatives that encourage active involvement of parents and the community. This can offer new perspectives for formulating more effective and responsive education policies that meet the requirements of schools and local communities. School committees also support central administration, provide resources, and improve teacher skills. It was determined that school committee involvement and community oversight had a significant impact on improving the quality of education, offering recommendations for strengthening the role of school committees and community oversight.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine PGSD students' cultural literacy abilities to adapt to the diversity of the nation, including how to behave, how to communicate, and how to interact between one and another through an Indonesian student exchange program. In this program students from several universities were united in an online learning process and it was hoped that through this program every student had the ability to understand various ethnic groups, languages, beliefs, habits, customs, and social strata as a national identity. This study utilized a descriptive method with the research subjects of PGSD students in "PERMATA" program from several universities in Indonesia. The instruments used in this study were open questionnaires, interviews, documents, and field notes. Research result revealed that online learning conducted on PGSD students in “PERMATA” program provided a positive impact on students’ cultural literacy. Students could easily adapt to various differences that exist in accordance with their respective cultural conventions. This could be seen from the beginning of the meeting, in which students were able to communicate well and to respect others by speaking with various intonations according to their respective cultural habits; the students shared information about the culture in their area; they appeared to respect and to appreciate each other when giving ideas to each other. This research concluded that online learning through PERMATA program was effective in increasing the cultural literacy of PGSD students.
