Abstract

Reading ability is a fundamental skill in language mastery, especially in English language learning. However, many students in Indonesia experience difficulties in understanding English texts due to a lack of effective reading strategies. This issue forms the basis of a study to evaluate the impact of reading strategies on improving students' reading comprehension. The aim of this research is to analyze how reading strategies can assist students in understanding English texts. The research employs a descriptive quantitative method, involving 50 students divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests and analyzed using normality and homogeneity statistical tests, as well as a T-test to measure the effectiveness of reading strategies. The results showed that the experimental group, which used reading strategies, demonstrated a significant improvement in comprehension compared to the control group. These findings suggest that the application of appropriate reading strategies can enhance reading comprehension skills, particularly for students learning English as a foreign language.

Abstract

The interpretation of the mutasyabihat verses in the Qur'an is a complex problem in Islamic studies. These verses have meanings that seem ambiguous or open to various interpretations. The interpretation of the Qur'an can vary greatly depending on the context. Some differences can arise in literal versus figurative understanding, historical context, and philosophical or theological approaches in interpreting this holy text, especially in interpreting the mutasyabihat verses related to the nature of Allah, which will be the focus of our discussion in this writing. The problem is that there are still many people who make an understanding that equates the nature of Allahﷻwith creatures (Tasybih). For example, some people think that Allah sits on the 'arsy, or in other words, Allah needs his creatures. This kind of understanding is wrong understanding and can even influence the understanding of Muslim society and affect our faith as Muslims, even though we know that equating Allah with his creatures is Haram. So this study tries to explore the interpretation of the mufassir figures, namely, Imam Asy Syaukani and Quraish Shihab. Especially the interpretation of the mutasyabihat verses related to the nature of Allah. Based on the description above, this study has several study focuses: 1) How do Imam As Syaukani and Quraish Shihab interpret the meaning of istiwa in the letter al-A'raf verse 54. 2) How do Imam As Syaukani and Quraish Shihab interpret the meaning of yad in the letter sad? 75. In this study, we use Qualitative research with library methods. This study's results explain that both have broad differences in interpreting the meaning of istiwa and yad. And each uses a different method of interpretation. 1) Imam Syaukani is of the opinion that Allah resides in an unknown way. Meanwhile, Quraish Shihab assumes that the meaning of istawa is the power of Allah. 2) Imam Syaukani interprets the meaning of yad to mean "without intermediaries." Quraish Shihab interprets the meaning of yad "as an indication of the special treatment and respect that humans receive from God.”

Abstract

Akad mudharabah memiliki peran sentral dalam operasional lembaga keuangan syariah, karena mengedepankan prinsip bagi hasil yang sesuai dengan nilai keadilan dalam Islam. Seiring dengan meningkatnya kebutuhan masyarakat terhadap produk keuangan berbasis syariah yang bebas dari unsur riba, gharar, dan maisir, implementasi akad ini menjadi pilar penting dalam sektor perbankan syariah, asuransi syariah, hingga reksa dana syariah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam konsep, mekanisme, dan penerapan akad mudharabah dalam berbagai lembaga keuangan syariah serta mengevaluasi kontribusinya terhadap pengembangan ekonomi syariah. Metode yang digunakan adalah library research dengan pendekatan interpretatif, di mana data dikumpulkan dari sumber-sumber literatur relevan seperti buku, jurnal ilmiah, dan dokumen resmi, lalu dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa akad mudharabah diterapkan dalam skema pembiayaan bank syariah melalui investasi langsung maupun tidak langsung, dalam asuransi syariah untuk pengelolaan dana peserta, serta dalam reksa dana syariah untuk menghimpun dan mengelola investasi kolektif. Implementasi ini dilandasi prinsip keadilan, transparansi, dan amanah, serta diawasi secara ketat oleh Dewan Pengawas Syariah untuk menjaga kepatuhan terhadap syariat. Akad mudharabah terbukti menjadi instrumen efektif dalam memperluas inklusi keuangan syariah di Indonesia, meskipun masih menghadapi tantangan dalam aspek literasi dan regulasi

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan (Field Research) yaitu penelitian yang terjun langsung kelapangan untuk menggali dan mengumpulkan sejumlah data yang diperlukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 12 orang tua, 5  orang anak, dan 2 orang guru. Dan objek penelitian ini adalah motivasi orang tua dalam menyekolahkan anak di Madrasah Diniyah Awaliyah Darussalam Barambai Kecamatan Barambai Kabupaten Barito Kuala. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini didapat dengan cara wawancara, observasi, dan dokumenter.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa semua orang tua yang berjumlah 12 orang memiliki motivasi dalam menyekolahkan anak di Madrasah Diniyah Awaliyah Darussalam Barambai. Pertama, 12 orang tua termotivasi karena ingin menjadikan anak lebih berkualitas dalam membaca Al-Qur’an, dan 8 orang tua siswa yang temotivasi karena ingin menyalurkan minat dan bakat anak. Kedua, orang tua memotivasi anaknya dengan cara menasehati, membimbing, termotivasi dari orang lain, dan memberikan hadiah kepada anak, pengawasan orang tua terhadap anak dengan cara dinasehati, dibimbing, menentukan kegiatan anak antara belajar dan bermain, dan menyuruh anak untuk belajar pada malam hari, dan orang tua mengatasi anaknya yang malas belajar di rumah dengan cara mendidiknya secara perlahan, diberi arahan, motivasi, dan memanggil teman yang lain untuk belajar bersama. Ketiga, faktor pendukung yang terdiri dari latar pendidikan orang tua, kondisi lingkungan disekitar tempat tinggal, sarana dan prasarana di Madrasah Diniyah Awaliyah, mudah ditempuh, hanya ada satu Madrasah Diniyah Awaliyah di desa Barambai, dan kesibukan orang tua terhadap pekerjaannya, dan faktor penghambat yang terdiri dari sarana dan fasilitas yang dimiliki dirumah, dan asik bermain. Kata Kunci: Motivasi Orang Tua, Menyekolahkan Anak dan Madrasah Diniyah

Abstract

This study comparatively examines the design, implementation, and impacts of interfaith marriage guidance in Cirebon Regency, filling the gap related to the different approaches to premarital education in a multireligious environment. This study compares Marriage Guidance (Bimbingan Perkawinan/Bimwim) at KUA Sumber and KUA Kedawung, Marriage Preparation Coaching at St. Joseph Church (Catholic), and Premarital Counseling at Indonesian Christian Church/GKI Pengampon (Protestant). The study aims to: 1) compare premarital counseling methods across institutions; 2) identify the benefits couples experience after following guidance; and 3) explore the bride-to-be's perception of the concept of a harmonious family. This study employs a qualitative- descriptive-comparative approach, utilizing in-depth interviews, observations, and document reviews, with informants selected purposively. The results of the study show: (1) there are differences in design and governance: KUA’s Bimwin is short-intensive with standardized modules, Catholic Marriage Preparation Coaching combines structured courses and canonical investigation, while GKI implements 3–6 months of tiered counseling; (2) the benefits felt by interfaith couples are relatively similar, in the form of improved communication, conflict management, financial literacy, and strengthening spirituality, although the specific nuances vary according to the institution’s traditions; and (3) the perception of a harmonious family converges on three main dimensions: healthy communication, acceptance of the spouse, and long-term commitment, with different accents on each religion. These findings confirm that premarital guidance, although different in terms of curriculum and methods, plays a significant role in equipping couples practically, emotionally, and spiritually to build harmonious families.

Abstract

Wali mafqud is the guardian of the unknown bride whereabouts so do not know whether it is dead or still alive. As happened in the village of wotgalih, there are women who live wandering since childhood by his parents, until now his whereabouts are unknown his father only the latest news is in Malang. Therefore, it is very It is important to clarify because the marriage guardian can determine whether a marriage is legal or not marriage. The formulation of the problem in this study is: What are the causes the occurrence of the mafqud guardian problem and efforts to solve it at the office Religious Affairs (KUA) Yosowilangun District, Lumajang Regency? What is the positive legal perspective on solving Wali problems Mafqud at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) District Yosowilangun Regency Lumajang? Writing this thesis includes the type of field research (empirical juridical), with a case study approach, with interview data collection techniques, observation, and documentation. This research belongs to the type of qualitative research. The data sources used are primary sources including the head of KUA, penghulu and secondary include photos, transcripts of interview guidelines, recordings, through purposive and time sumpling techniques. While the analysis stage data is done by editing, classification, verification, conclusion, and analysis. The validity of the data applied is credibility, dependability, and reliability confirmability. The results of this study are first: the causes of mafqud guardians include: there is a divorce then there is no communication anymore, because both parents married overseas and then left again and left their children, his father migrated after several years lost communication and did not known whereabouts, and raised orphans. The solution carried out by the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) Yosowilangun against the bride and groom whose guardian is mafqud, that is, ordering the bride and groom to face the village head to explain that his guardian's whereabouts are unknown and witnessed by two people. Then the stamped statement letter along with the other files are given to modin to register marriage to the Affairs Office Yosowilangun Religion. After that, it will be investigated first by the KUA so that there is no manipulation of data related to mafqud guardians. Second: Wali mafqud di explained in the Regulation of the Minister of Religion no. 20 of 2019 article 13 paragraph 5 that the bride and her family go to the village head to request a stamped statement and be witnessed by two witnesses, after it was given to modin to be used as a registration requirement at KUA.

Abstract

Produksi jagung yang menurun pada tahun 2023 dibanding tahun 2022 mengakibatkan impor jagung meningkat tajam. Upaya meningkatkan produksi jagung dapat dilaksanakan dengan aplikasi pupuk majemuk berimbang. Penelitian dilakukan di lahan percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Brawijaya di Jatikerto, Kecamatan Kepanjen, Kabupaten Malang. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 7 perlakuan dengan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri atas: 1) P0=kontrol (tanpa pemupukan), 2) P1=100% pupuk dasar, 3) P2=urea 400 kg/ha+rock phosphate 150 kg/ha+KCl 75 kg/ha, 4) P3=urea 400 kg/ha+pupuk fosfat uji 150 kg/ha+KCl 75 kg/ha, 5) P4=urea 400 kg/ha+pupuk fosfat uji 200 kg/ha+KCl 75 kg/ha, 6) P5=urea 400 kg/ha+pupuk fosfat uji 250 kg/ha+KCl 75 kg/ha, 7) P6=urea 400 kg/ha+pupuk fosfat uji 300 kg/ha+KCl 75 kg/ha. Data dianalisa anova dan dilanjutkan dengan uji DMRT taraf 5%. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisa korelasi dan regresi untuk melihat hubungan dan pengaruh antar parameter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Aplikasi pupuk anorganik berbasis fosfat secara signifikan mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman (tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter batang), produksi jagung (panjang dan diameter tongkol, berat kering pipilan), dan serapan unsur hara tanaman. Dosis aplikasi pupuk fosfat Uji (~300 kg/ha) mampu meningkatkan serapan hara tanaman dan produksi jagung, sedangkan dosis aplikasi (200-250 kg/ha) pupuk fosfat uji merupakan dosis pupuk optimal dalam meningkatkan kandungan P total dan P tersedia tanah. Hubungan antara serapan P dengan produksi tanaman jagung memiliki hubungan yang positif dengan tingkat keeratan yang kuat yang berarti dengan serapan hara P yang tinggi dapat meningkatkan produksi tanaman jagung.ABSTRACTCorn production decreased in 2023 compared to 2022, resulting in corn imports increasing sharply. Efforts to increase corn production can be carried out by applying balanced compound fertilizer. The research was conducted at the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Brawijaya University in Jatikerto, Kepanjen District, Malang Regency. The research design used a randomized block design (RAK) consisting of 7 treatments with 3 replications. Treatments consisted of: 1) P0=control (without fertilization), 2) P1=100% basic fertilizer, 3) P2=urea 400 kg/ha+rock phosphate 150 kg/ha+KCl 75 kg/ha, 4) P3= urea 400 kg/ha+phosphate fertilizer test 150 kg/ha+KCl 75 kg/ha, 5) P4=urea 400 kg/ha+phosphate fertilizer test 200 kg/ha+KCl 75 kg/ha, 6) P5=urea 400 kg/ha+test phosphate fertilizer 250 kg/ha+KCl 75 kg/ha, 7) P6=urea 400 kg/ha+test phosphate fertilizer 300 kg/ha+KCl 75 kg/ha. The data was analyzed by ANOVA and continued with the DMRT test at 5% level. Next, correlation and regression analysis was carried out to see the relationship and influence between parameters. The research results show that the application of phosphate-based inorganic fertilizer can significantly increase plant growth (plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter), corn production (length and diameter of cobs, dry weight of shells), and plant nutrient uptake. The application dose of test phosphate fertilizer (~300 kg/ha) was able to increase plant nutrient uptake and corn production, while the application dose (200-250 kg/ha) of test phosphate fertilizer was the optimal fertilizer dose in increasing total P content and soil available P. The relationship between P uptake and corn production has a positive relationship with a strong level of closeness, which means that high P nutrient uptake can increase corn production.

Abstract

This study aims to identify effective and engaging English grammar learning strategies in ninth-grade students at MTs Ittihadul Bayan Telaga Lebur Sekotong Tengah. Grammar is an important aspect of English language acquisition, but students often find it difficult and tedious. Therefore, an engaging, enjoyable, and tailored learning approach is needed. This study employed a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of interactive learning strategies such as educational games, audio-visual media, grammar quizzes, group discussions, and project-based learning can increase student enthusiasm, learning motivation, and understanding of grammar structures. Teachers who are active, creative, and innovative in designing learning play a significant role in creating a fun and engaging classroom atmosphere. Furthermore, students' active involvement in the learning process encourages a more meaningful learning experience. With appropriate and varied strategies, grammar learning is no longer perceived as a boring activity, but rather as an engaging and challenging process. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi strategi pembelajaran grammar Bahasa Inggris yang efektif dan tidak membosankan di kelas sembilan MTs Ittihadul Bayan Telaga Lebur Sekotong Tengah. Grammar merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam penguasaan Bahasa Inggris, namun sering kali dianggap sulit dan membosankan oleh siswa. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pendekatan pembelajaran yang menarik, menyenangkan, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi pembelajaran interaktif seperti permainan edukatif, media audio-visual, kuis grammar, diskusi kelompok, dan pembelajaran berbasis proyek dapat meningkatkan semangat siswa, motivasi belajar, serta pemahaman terhadap struktur grammar. Guru yang aktive, kreatif dan inovatif dalam merancang pembelajaran turut berperan besar dalam menciptakan suasana kelas yang menyenangkan dan tidak monoton. Selain itu, keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam proses belajar mendorong terciptanya pengalaman belajar yang lebih bermakna. Dengan strategi yang tepat dan bervariasi, pembelajaran grammar tidak lagi dianggap sebagai kegiatan yang membosankan, melainkan sebagai proses yang menarik dan menantang.

Abstract

Boron (B) is one of the most essential nutrients for fertilization and the production of fruits and seeds, however the availability of boron in soil is very limited. The aim for this experiment is to test the borate micro fertilizer to improve the growth and production of cucumber (Cucumis sativus). The fertilizer used in this experiment is borate micro fertilizer which contain 46% or 460 g.kg-1 B2O3. The experiment was conducted at Cibadak Village, Sukaresmi District, Cianjur Regency, West Java Province. Treatments in this experiment were arranged within five rates of fertilizer, which are: without fertilizer (P0); 0.5 rate of Borate fertilizer (0.5 B) (P1); 1.0 rate of Borate fertilizer (1.0 B) (P2); 1.5 rate of Borate fertilizer (1.5 B) (P3); and 2.0 rate of Borate fertilizer (2.0 B) (P4). The result showed that the treatment of 0.5 to 2.0 rate of borate micro fertilizer can produce growth characteristics and plants that are better compared to the control treatment. Applicating 0.5 rate of borate micro fertilizer even has the capacity of yielding production up to 48.960 kg.ha-1. The 0.5 rate of Borate micro fertilizer treatment was concluded as the most effective one compared to other treatments, due to its capacity to produce the highest relative agronomical effectivity value, which is 152%. The recommended rate of Borate fertilizer is 25 kg.ha-1 given by soil drench at 15 and 30 DAP (days after planting) with the concentration is 1.5 g.L-1 and the volume is 250 ml/plant.
