This community service activity aims to: (1) increase the knowledge of English teachers at the high school level about various media and digital sources for teaching English teaching materials, (2) develop the ability to create digital teaching material for English lessons, especially during the pandemic. Covid-19 requires all teaching and learning activities to be carried out online. The activities were carried out in the form of training on digital content creation using the Gather.Town media which was carried out offline and online. The participants of this activity were 29 high school teachers in Bandar Lampung. This activity received a positive response and could improve participants' knowledge in preparing digital content for online learning.Keywords: digital content; digital media; gather townAbstrakKegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk: (1) meningkatkan pengetahuan guru Bahasa Inggris di tingkat SMA tentang berbagai media dan sumber digital untuk bahan ajar pelajaran Bahasa Inggris, (2) meningkatkan kemampuan menciptakan konten bahan ajar digital untuk pelajaran Bahasa Inggris terutama dalam masa pandemi Covid-19 yang mengharuskan seluruh kegiatan belajar mengajar dilaksanakan secara daring. Kegiatan yang dilakukan berupa pelatihan pembuatan konten digital dengan menggunakan media Gather.Town yang dilakukan secara luring dan daring. Peserta kegiatan ini adalah guru mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris di Kota Bandar Lampung yang dihadiri oleh 29 guru SMA kota Bandar lampung. Pronunciation is an essential component of communicative competence, yet many EFL learners make pronunciation errors frequently. The English teacher in SMAS Global Madani Bandarlampung stated that students find it difficult to pronounce English words with certain consonants including friction consonants. The objectives of this research were to find out i) pronunciation errors of friction consonants that students made frequently and ii) the factors that influenced the errors. The approach of this research was qualitative. There were 20 students of the second grade chosen randomly. Performance assessment was used to collect the data. The data were analyzed by using the formula of Measures of Central Tendency. The data were also computed by using SPSS 26.0 for Windows. The result showed that the friction consonants that the students produced frequently were /v/ (31.5%) and /?/ (26%). In addition, the result of the students’ responses showed that the errors were caused by some factors. Those were exposure, first language (L1) background, lack of confidence, and attitude.

The use of online media to facilitate distant learning during the pandemic has become one of the solutions that can be implemented to support the government's policy of reducing crowds in public spaces. In this case, students at the University of Lampung's Faculty of Teacher Training and Education benefit from an online management system called Virtual Class Unila. This platform is intended for students to use to access resources, download learning modules, and participate in classroom discussions. The Virtual Class was created to assist students with distance learning. However, since the initial implementation of Virtual Class at the start of the pandemic in early 2020, both positive and negative perceptions about its use have emerged. As a result, we were encouraged to ascertain diverse perceptions regarding the use of this sophisticated learning management system among students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Lampung. This study employed a quantitative approach, collecting data via a scaled survey questionnaire. The target participants were 272 students from various departments who were asked to complete a survey regarding their perceptions of the implementation of Virtual Class. The findings of this study are expected to be beneficial for the future maintenance and development of Virtual Class, as well as for determining the optimal method of conducting online learning.

This training activity to improve the skills of writing literary and scientific works for junior high school students throughout Metro City aims to: (1) increase literary and linguistic knowledge, (2) improve the ability to write literary works and scientific works. This activity has increased literary and linguistic knowledge, as well as improved the ability to write literary works among junior high school students in Metro City. The existence of training to improve the skills of writing literary and scientific works is expected to foster motivation and increase the enthusiasm of the participants to write various sources of inspiration into literary and scientific works. This motivation can grow, among other things, due to the meeting of children's writers, where they can feel the joy of being a writer. They are also increasingly convinced that anyone who means it can become a writer. In addition, the participants also obtained an overview of the procedure for publishing works to various print media. Kegiatan pelatihan peningkatan keterampilan menulis karya sastra dan ilmiah untuk siswa SMP se-Kota Metro ini bertujuan untuk: (1) meningkatkan pengetahuan kesastraan dan kebahasaan, (2) meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karya sastra dan karya ilmiah. Kegiatan ini telah meningkatkan pengetahuan kesastraan dan kebahasaan, serta meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karya sastra di kalangan siswa SMP di Kota Metro. Adanya pelatihan peningkatan keterampilan menulis karya sastra dan ilmiah ini diharapkan menumbuhkan motivasi dan meningkatkan semangat para peserta untuk menuliskan berbagai sumber ilham menjadi karya sastra dan ilmiah. Motivasi ini dapat tumbuh di antaranya disebabkan adanya jumpa penulis anak, di mana mereka bisa merasakan senangnya menjadi seorang penulis. Mereka pun semakin yakin bahwa siapa saja yang bersungguh-sungguh bisa menjadi seorang penulis. Selain itu, para peserta juga memperoleh gambaran tentang prosedur mempublikasikan karya ke berbagai media cetak.

Kegiatan pelatihan penyusunan materi penguatan pendidikan karakter berbasis WEB Pusat PPK Kemdibud bagi guru-guru SMA YP Unila ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan profesionalisme para guru SMA YP Unila dalam hal penguatan pendidikan karakter (PPK). Pelatihan ini akan menerapkan model penemuan atau discovery learning dan problem base learning, yakni semua peserta aktif menemukan konten atau materi PPK dalam web Pusata PPK Kemendikbud RI serta menyelesaikan permasalahan karakter negatif peserta didik dengan materi-materi dari web tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah ceramah, tanya jawab, diskusi, demonstrasi, dan penyelesaian masalah berupa penugasan. Tempat pelatihan dilaksanakan di SMA Yayasan Pembina Universitas Lampung . Jumlah peserta pelatihan ini ditargetkan sebanyak 25 orang yang terdiri atas para guru semua mata pelajaran yang ada di SMA YP Unila. Keberhasilan kegiatan ini diukur dari proses dan hasil pelatihan. Indikator keberhasilan proses meliputi, keaktifan, kerja sama, dan tanggung jawab yang dinilai melalui pengamatan atau observasi. Penilaian unjuk kerja dilakukan ketika peserta secara berkelompok mempresentasikan hasil berselancar dalam web Pusat PPK, meliputi konten/materi penguatan pendidikan karakter, portal praktik baik, serta metode pembentukan karakter tersebut. Adapun evaluasi terhadap hasil kegiatan diukur berdasarkan penguasaan materi pelatihan yang meliputi hasil latihan penyelesaian masalah karakter peserta didik dengan materi dan strategi yang bersumber dari web pusat PPK This training activity for the preparation of material for strengthening character education based on the WEB Center ofthe Ministry of Education and Culture for YP Unila High School teachers aims to develop the professionalism of YP Unila High School teachers in terms of strengthening character education (PPK). This training will apply a discovery learning model and problem base learning, where all participants actively find kDp content or material on the Ministry of Education and Culture's PPK Center web and solve students' negative character problems with materials from the web. The methods used in this training are lectures, questions and answers, discussions, demonstrations, and problem solving in the form of assignments. The training venue was held at the Pembina Foundation Senior High School, University of Lampung. The number of participants for this training is targeted at 25 people consisting of teachers of all subjects at SMA YP Unila. The success of this activity is measured by the process and results of the training. The indicators ofthe success of the process include activeness, cooperation, and responsibility which are assessed through observation or observation. Performance assessment is carried out when participants in groups present the results of surfing the KDP Center web, including content/materialsforstrengthening character education, good practice portals, and methods of character building. The evaluation ofthe results ofthe activity is measured based on the mastery of the training material which includes the results of the problem solving exercise of the character of the students with materials and strategies sourced from the PPK central web.

Modul Pembelajaran merupakan suatu hal yang sangat penting untuk dimiliki oleh suatu lembaga atau instansi pendidikan. Just Speak Indonesia, merupakan lembaga pendidikan Bahasa Inggris yang memiliki tutor berpotensi, namun masih kekurangan dalam hal pembuatan modul berbasis kearifan lokal. Kegiatan pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan para guru di Just Speak Indonesia untuk dapat memroduksi modul Bahasa Inggris dengan menyisipkan elemen budaya lokal. Kegiatan ini berlangsung selama satu bulan pada bulan Agustus lalu, dan melibatkan para tutor Bahasa Inggris di Just Speak Indonesia untuk dapat membuat modul Bahasa Inggris dengan elemen kearifan lokal. Learning Module is a very important thing to be owned by an institution or educational institution. Just Speak Indonesia, is an English educational institution that has potential tutors, but still lacks in making modules based on local wisdom. This training activity aims to develop the skills of teachers at Just Speak Indonesia to be able to produce English modules by inserting elements of local culture. This activity lasted for one month last August, and involved English tutors at Just Speak Indonesia to be able to make English modules with elements of local wisdom.

Motivasi ini dapat tumbuh di antaranya disebabkan adanya jumpa penulis, di mana mereka bisa merasakan senangnya menjadi seorang penulis. Mereka pun semakin yakin bahwa siapa saja yang bersungguh-sungguh bisa menjadi seorang penulis. Selain itu, para peserta juga memperoleh gambaran tentang prosedur mempublikasikan karya ke berbagai media cetak mau pun digital. This scientific paper writing training activity for high school students in Bandar Lampung City aims to: (1) increase writing and linguistic knowledge and (2) improve the ability to write scientific papers. This activity has increased general knowledge and language and increased the ability to write scientific papers among high school students in Bandar Lampung City. The training to improve scientific writing skills is expected to foster motivation and increase the enthusiasm of the participants to write various sources of inspiration into scientific work. This motivation can grow partly due to the writer's meeting, where they can feel the joy of being a writer. They are also increasingly convinced that anyone serious can become a writer. In addition, the participants also received an overview of the procedures for publishing their work in various print and digital media.
