Abstract

The ability of students' creative thinking in math is still less than optimal. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the mathematics learning model at State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 3 Kasihan Bantul by comparing its effectiveness and the learning model used in schools. The population used is the entire class VII at SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan of 122 students. The sampling technique used is the random sampling technique. It selected class VII B as the experimental class and class VII D as the control class. The data collecting technique used is the test method. The data collection instrument in the form of a test. That is the pretest and posttest. The validity test of the instrument used is constructed validity. The instrument reliability test used is alpha Cronbach. The data analysis technique used is a prerequisite test using the normality test with a chi-square formula and homogeneity test using the bartlett formula and the hypothesis test using the t-test. Based on the result of the research, it indicates that: (1) t-test result of two parties obtained tcount > ttable, tcount = 3,837 and ttable = 2,301 or tcount > ttable, tcount = 3,837 and ttable = 2,301 with 5 % of significant level and the freedom degree is 58 which means that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted, so there is a difference of creative thinking ability of students between the class whose learning is using scramble learning model and the class whose learning is using the scientific approach for class VII students at SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan in the academic year 2017/2018. (2) t-test results of one party obtained tcount > ttable, tcount = 3,837 and ttable = 2,002 with 5% of significant level and the freedom degree is 58 which means that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted, so the learning mathematics using scramble is more effective than learning mathematics using a scientific approach toward the creative thinking ability for class VII Students in the second Semester at  SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan Bantul in the academic year 2017/2018.’

Abstract

The teacher still does learning so that it has not allowed students to develop independence through finding and thought processes. Therefore, critical thinking becomes very less. The purpose of this study is to find out the values of students' critical thinking learning using the PBL learning model and direct learning model and compare the effectiveness of PBL learning model and direct learning model to critical thinking skills of students of Class VII of State Junior High School 3 Kasihan (SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan) Bantul in Academic Year of 2017/2018. The population of this study is all of the students of class VII. The samples were taken by using a random sampling technique. As the experiment class was Class VII and as the control class was Class VII A. The data collecting of this study using the essay test. The data collecting instrument of this study by using the validity test and reliability test. The data analysis technique used a prerequisite analysis test. There are normality test and homogeneity test, and hypothesis test using a t-test. The result of a significant level of 5% and df =60 showed that: (1) there was a different ability between students' critical thinking, which used the PBL learning model with a direct learning model. The value of  = 2,682884 shows it>  = 2,0003 and (2) the PBL learning model more effective than the direct learning model toward students' critical thinking ability. This research showed that the  = 2,682884 >  = 1,6706.

Abstract

Low of student mathematics learning outcomes are related to several factors. Self Confidence, learning discipline, and use of learning resources is some of the factors related to learning outcomes. This research aims to determine the presence or absence of a positive and significant relationship among confidence, learning discipline, and use of learning resources with mathematics learning outcomes in students class VIII of even Semester of  MTsN Yogyakarta II in the academic year of 2015/2016. The population in this study was the girl students of grade VIII in MTsN Yogyakarta II in the academic year of 2015/2016, which was divided into 4 classes, namely VIII D, VIII E, VIII F, VIII G totaling 137 students. Samples were taken in class VIII E as research class sample and with random sampling technique to the class. Data was collected by questionnaire and test method. The research instrument were validity test, different power test, and reliability test. Test requirement analysis includes test of normality, linearity, and the independence. Analysis of the data for testing hypothesis using correlation and linear regression analysis. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship among self confidence, learning discipline, and use of learning resources with mathematics learning outcomes students of class VIII of even Semester in MTsN Yogyakarta II in the academic year of 2015/2016. It was showed by Fcount =  Ftable = 2.9011 with R = 0.511998 and R2 = 0.2621 with , with SR = 30.7344 , SR = 18.5067% ,and SR = 50.75895% SE = , SE = and SE = 13.3060524 %.

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang monoton membuat siswa menjadi jenuh. Selain itu, pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada guru menyebabkan siswa menjadi kurang aktif dalam proses belajar mengajar, sehingga diperlukan model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan keaktifan siswa yaitu model eliciting activities dan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model eliciting activities dan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas XI IPA semester ganjil MAN Sabdodadi tahun ajaran 2015/2016.Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA semester ganjilMAN Sabdodadi Bantul tahun ajaran 2015/2016 yang terdiri dari 3 kelas. pengambilan sampel dengan teknik Random Sampling terhadap kelas. Sampel dalam penelitian adalah kelas XI IPA 1 dan kelas XI IPA 3. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode dokumentasi dan metode tes. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal tes hasil belajar matematika. Analisis data untuk pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t.Hasil penelitian pada taraf signifikan 5% dan derajat kebebasan = 47 menunjukkan: (1) Ada perbedaan hasil belajar matematika siswa yang menggunakan model eliciting activities dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD kelas XI IPA semester ganjil MAN Sabdodadi Bantul tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Hal ini ditunjukan dengan uji hipotesis dua pihak dengan uji-t diperoleh  = 2,062 dan  = 2,014. (2) Pembelajaran menggunakan model eliciting activities lebih efektif dibandingkan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas XI IPA semester ganjil MAN Sabdodadi tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Hal ini ditunjukan dengan uji hipotesis satu pihak dengan uji-t diperoleh  = 2,062 dan  =1,67945. Hal ini ditunjukan dengan uji-t satu pihak dengan  = 2,062 dan  = 1,67945. (3) Tidak ada perbedaan antara nilai kemampuan awal dengan nilai hasil belajar matematika siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model eliciting activities dengan siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD kelas XI IPA semester ganjil MAN Sabdodadi Bantul tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Hal ini ditunjukan dengan uji hipotesis dua pihak dengan uji-t diperoleh  = 1,500 dan  = 2,014. Kata kunci: Efektivitas, Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif, Hasil Belajar Matematika.

Abstract

Hasil belajar matematika siswa yang masih rendah berhubungan dengan banyak faktor. Kemampuan koneksi matematika dan intensitas belajar merupakan beberapa faktor yang diduga berhubungan dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidak adanya hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kemampuan koneksi matematika dan intensitas belajar dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII Semester Genap SMP Muhammadiyah Sewon Kabupaten Bantul Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah Sewon Kabupaten Bantul Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018, yang terdiri dari kelas VIII A dan VIII B dengan jumlah seluruh siswa sebanyak 69 siswa . Sampel diambil dari kelas VIII A sebagai kelas sampel penelitian  dengan teknik random sampling, terdiri dari 27 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes untuk memperoleh data kemampuan koneksi matematika dan  hasil belajar matematika, serta metode angket untuk memperoleh data intensitas belajar. Uji instrumen penelitian menggunakan uji validitas, uji daya beda, dan uji reliabilitas. Uji prasyarat analisis meliputi uji normalitas, uji linearitas, dan uji independensi. Analisis data untuk pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis korelasi product moment dan analisis regresi linear ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kemampuan koneksi matematika dan intensitas belajar dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII Semester Genap SMP Muhammadiyah Sewon Kabupaten Bantul Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan uji F yaitu Fhitung > Ftabel atau 6,381071774 > 3,44000. Koefisien korelasi ganda (R) sebesar 0,605910583 dan koefisien determinasinya (sebesar 0,292054561 dengan persamaan regresi linier ganda, dengan SRX1 = 37,8% , SRX2 =62,2% dan SEX1=11,03%, dan SEX2=16,83%.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in class XI SMK N 1 Sewon is still centered on teachers. Students assume that mathematics is a complicated subject that resulted in the students' mathematics learning outcome. Learning using Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type cooperative learning model is expected to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes. This research is aimed to find out whether or not the difference of mathematics learning result of the students is taught by using STAD type cooperative learning model and by using direct learning model, and which is better learning model to student learning achievement, STAD type cooperative learning model or model direct learning. This study's population were students of Class XI Hospitality Accommodation Program (AP) State Vocational High School (SMK N) 1 Sewon consisting of three classes. In contrast, the sample in this study, there are two classes determined by random sampling. The research sample is class XI (AP-1 ) as an experiment class with STAD type cooperative learning model, and class XI (AP-2 ) as a control class with a direct learning model. This research instrument is the test result of mathematics learning and analyzed using the validity test, distinguishing power, and reliability. Then, the data analysis uses a two-t-test and one-party test. The first hypothesis test analysis is two t-test on the students' mathematics learning results. A significance level of 5% and degrees of freedom 53 obtained tcount = 4.560, and ttable = 2.00584 then tcount> ttable. Hence, there is a significant difference between the learning results in mathematics of students taught by using STAD type cooperative learning model and by using direct learning model, and on second hypothesis test that is t-test one side with 5% significance level and degrees of freedom 53 obtained tcount= 4,560, and ttable = 1,67416, then tcount > ttable so that model of cooperative learning type STAD better than direct learning model to result of student learning of mathematics.

Abstract

The low student mathematics learning outcomes are influenced by many factors. Parental attention, social environment, and learning independence are some of the factors that are thought to influence student learning outcomes in mathematics. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of finding out whether there was a positive and significant relationship between parents' attention, social environment and learning independence with mathematics learning outcomes for students of class VIII odd semester of SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta 2016/2017 school year. The population in this study were all eighth-grade students of Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta Middle School 2016/2017 academic year consisting of 5 classes with a total of 182 students. As the sample class VIII D consisting of 36 students using random sampling techniques to the class. The data collection technique was carried out using a questionnaire method for parents' attention, social environment and learning independence. As for the test method for student mathematics learning outcomes. The instrument test uses validity and reliability tests. The analysis prerequisite test uses a normality test, independent test, and linearity test. Analysis of hypothesis testing data uses simple linear regression analysis and multiple regression and correlation analysis. The results showed that there is a positive and significant correlation among parents' attention, social environment and learning independence with mathematics learning outcomes with Fcount = 9,70 > Ftable = 2,90 multiple correlation coefficient (R) is 0,69 and the multiple determination coefficient (R2) is 0,48. While the multiple regression equation is , relatively contribution (X1) = 62,34%, the relative contribution (X2) = 19,18%, the relative contribution (X3) = 18,48% and effective contribution (X1) = 29,68%, the effective contribution (X2) = 9,13%, and the effective contribution (X3) = 8,80%.

Abstract

Mathematics is a basic science that is very important and beneficial to the development of science and technology. The use of learning media based on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) becomes one a tool alternative for teachers in presenting the subject of mathematics. The set subjects still considered difficult for some students. Learning media based on Macromedia Flash 8 is expected to be facilities that support learning. This research is a development that aims to produce instructional media using Macromedia Flash 8 in learning mathematics on the subject of a set of class VII SMP. This development study using the ADDIE development model that is Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. Subjects were matter experts, media experts, and junior high SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Yogyakarta and SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta. The instrument used in this study is a questionnaire. The data analysis technique conducted qualitatively and quantitatively to calculate the results of the feasibility test score developed in instructional media. Based on the quality of every aspect of learning media, results of research-based math learning media development of mathematics learning media based on Macromedia Flash 8 is from materials experts with perfect category, an average score is 79,67, from media experts with perfect category, an average score is 105,33, and the response of students with perfect category with an average score of 66,50. Based on the assessments, then the media-based mathematics learning Macromedia Flash 8 is very feasible to use in learning.

Abstract

A less exciting approach to mathematics learning makes student activity in deep mathematics learning. This research aims to increase the learning activities of mathematics by using the problem-posing approach of students of class VIII C Odd Semester Muhammadiyah Junior High School 1 Godean (SMP Muhammadiyah I Godean) Sleman District Academic Year 2017/2018. This study is a Classroom Action Research with the subject of research class VIII C SMP Muhammadiyah I Godean. The object in this study is the learning activities of mathematics students after learning mathematics with a problem-posing approach. The study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two face-to-face. The technique of collecting data using observation. Data analysis used qualitative descriptive analysis. This research shows that the problem-posing approach can increase the learning activity of mathematics of VIII C students of SMP Muhammadiyah I Godean of Sleman Regency in odd semester of the academic year 2017/2018. This is evident from the average percentage of analysis results observation sheet activity of students cycle I is 55.60%. The student activity qualifications insufficient criteria, and on the second cycle average percentage analysis results observation sheet student activity increased to 70.05%, then the qualification student activity in good criteria. These results indicate that an increase in student learning activities is quite significant. The results of this study indicate an increase in activity during mathematics learning on the subject of Algebraic.

Abstract

Attention parents were low, inadequate learning facilities, as well as students 'motivation,  is still low allegedly associated with the results of students' mathematics learning. This study aims to determine the presence or absence of a positive and significant relationship between Parents Attention, Learning Facilities, and Motivation to learn the Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Students Class VIII at SMP Muhammadiyah Pleret on the Even Semester Academi Year 2015/2016. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP Muhammadiyan Pleret on the even Semester Academic Year 2015/2016 as many as 4 classes. The research sample is a class VIII A using random sampling techniques. Data collection techniques such as test and non-test techniques. Data collection instruments in the form of questions and questionnaires. Test instruments used are validity, reliability test, and test different power. The analysis prerequisite test including normality test, linearity test, and the test of independence. Analysis of data using correlation analysis and linear regression analysis. The results showed that there is a positive and significant correlation between parents attention, learning facilities, and motivation to learn the mathematics learning outcomes, multiple correlation coefficient (R) 0.7173, with the regression equation = , at the 5% significance level, obtained   at 9.5383 and  at 2,9063 means   . The percentage relative contribution of parents attention ,the relative contribution on learning facilities , and the relative contribution of learning motivation ,49%, and then effective contribution on parents attention  , the effective contribution of learning facilities  , and the effective contribution of learning motivation .
